I received an unsolicited FAX from this company about health insurance

Called to get information, told company name was ETNA. Rep didn't give name and when asked for information on company was told he could't help me and hung up. I don't need anything that bad!!

If its medical benefits group (has to be benefitS not benefit) they are out of MO. If its from medical benefit group, with no s, they are out of houston, texas and their office number is 281-999-4488 if you want to call and complain. I'm not sure which company is calling, but if its the second one, you can contact them. Ask for James Prevost or Veronika Ball and just let them have it!

I too received a fax offering $199 health insurance written through Aetna.  "Walter" gave me only very minimal information and said I would receive the coverage package and insurance cards very soon and I could cancel if I was not satisfied with the coverage and get a refund.  A month later, I still had received nothing from them.  After many repeated attempts to contact customer service, I finally spoke with Marietta.  I requested to cancel and she indicated that she would note my request in her computer and that I should be receiving a refund of the $199.  She also gave me yhe fax number of 856-374-8663 to send in a written cancellation; I was not able to get that fax to go through.  It has been almost 6 weeks now and I still haven't received anything from them, but they have drafted my checking account for 2 months already even though I requested cancellation.  Once again, I have spent much time trying to contact someone at customer service because now my checking account has been drafted on October 23, 2007 for another $199.  I finally spoke with Laura in billing to request cancellation of my coverage and a refund.  She instructed me that it was necessary for me to fax a cancellation in writing.  Hence, I have faxed them a lengthy letter requesting cancellation of whatever I am supposed to have and a full refund.  Since I don't really expect to get that from them, I am going to my bank today to report them and dispute the charges.  Whatever you do, don't give them any banking or credit card information.

I received another fax today, same fax different phone #.I called the number on the new fax and it was them. Here are the numbers and you actually get to speak to someone. The fax number I give you is so you can give them a written notice saying you want to cancel. I hope this helps everyone. Now I'm waiting to see if I really get a check.

i also received a fax and did enroll.I received an insurance discount card but didn't like the coverage.they said i could cancel within 30days and get my money back. Now I can't get through to cancel it. The phone number on my card is 8563741599, but it's always busy. Idid call the better business burea and there checking into this,also called the Insuance Commissioner and there sending me a form to fill out. i've gone to my bank and closed my account and canceled all debit payments, closed old account so they can't get anymore money.

Received a fax from this company soliciting health insurance.  Said that I would be signed up with Aetna by October 1, 2007 through Professional Benefits Consultants.  I have received no packet as of yet.  Keep being told that I am covered it should be coming any day.  Today I ask for a supervisor and there are none on duty.  I was told to wait for the end of the week than when I threatened to take them to Montana State Fraud division I was hung up on.  By the way Professional Benefits Consultants phone number is 856-374-8665.  I am only getting a busy signal now.

Got fax ... called number talked to Michael Tea, real nice guy told me they were underwriting for Aetna insurance, due to Aetna had not met their policy quota to date. He asked for $125.00 enrollment fee, $359.00 monthly for insurance. stated my first month would be $484.00. Told him I needed to speak with my husband and asked for customer service number so I could call back and enroll. He gave it to me (lol)

Called customer service, they are not associated with Aetna, but the lady on the phone tried to smooth it over by saying they were underwritten by many different companies, and they would be sure to find the best plan possible for me.

Needless to say, did not sign up. These people are some of the biggest scam artist going.

I received the same fax. I called to inquire about the coverage and billing and the a$$hole who answered the phone asked one question: " Are you enrolling today?" I told him I needed some info before making that decision and the phone went dead. I called back and apologized and explained I was disconnected and needed some info about the coverage and he hung up on me a second time. I called again and asked him why he hung up on me twice and he said if I wasn't enrolling today he wasn't going to waste his time explaining the program. I asked to speak to someone whose time I wouldn't waste and someone who was interested in selling a policy. He told me to call back and hung up on me again. I called back and told him he was an a$$hole he was and he called me a "dicklip" and hung up again.

WOW!!! I'm a saleman and this guy takes the cake. Worst I've ever encountered in 61 years.

Recieved junk fax with no header which is illegal in Oregon.  Called this 888 697-4629 number to have some a***ole try to stongarm info out of me.  I let him know I was just calling to let him know that if I recieve another fax it will be the ax.  Aint it funny how our government can spy on us to protect us from terrorism but supposedly is helpless about enforcing the law about this kind of s***?

Same thing.  Vague call.  Wanted my SS number, date of birth and credit card number.  Surprised they didn't want my first born.

I personally talked to a certain "Walter" who sounded quite honest and smooth. I questioned him about their benefits and could not explain in full detail. He said they represent Aetna as brokers and was forceful to me to sign up. I asked straightly, "Are you a scam?" He vehemently denied and said it is source of livelihood. Yes, fraud and identity stealing is his livelihood! Health insurance is a fortune these days, and here are a bunch of thieves after poor people who needs health insurance!

Received fax offering health insurance for $199 per month with enrollment ending "today".  No company name or fax number.  I called and was greeted with a request for information to sign me up and the ending today comment was repeated. When questioned they indicated they provided comprehensive coverage for all drugs, office visits, surgery, etc and were brokers for Aetna.  They gave their name as "Medical Group" in Denver, CO.  No such organization appears in Google. I asked if they would cover me considering that I had cancer.  They indicated that no company would insure me and unceremoniously hung up.

They told me they were in Denver. The first person I asked hung up on me, but the second person told me. I'm in California and junk faxes here cost them $500 if you can actually find them (and then get them to pay).

Has anyone found out if this is for identity theft or has anyone given these people information and then had a problem with theft? There is nothing else about this company yet with Google and fraud. I even called the FBi and asked and they do not have any information, but sent me to Ic3.com. However, that is internet crime....

Got a fax this morning and thought this seems too good to be true.  Called the no. Asked a few questions and was told the Insurance Company was Aetna. And when I gave a hint of suspicion and said I would have to talk to my husband, he hung up. Makes me think if you're a legitimate business you wouldn't just hung up and prove your legitimate. He was rushing me to enroll and that gave me the first red flag.  I'm glad I looked up their no. and checked other people's comments. This people should be investigated and charged with fraud. They are preying on people who cannot afford decent health insurance!!

my husband was sent a fax today on the day I am researching health insurance options.  I called and was told their name was Medical Benefits Group.  The guy said they were in business for 7 years.  Aetna insurance was the name he gave me as the insurance company.  He wanted a $140 one time enrollment fee.  When I asked about the deductible, I was told there is only a $100.00 deductible  for accidental injury.   The guy was pushy and really wanted to enroll me today. Smarmy, very smarmy.

I received the same fax today as all of you.  Here is a news flash for ?Walter".  His fax is illegal if you do not have a business relationship with these people.  And who can tell?  They do not identify their company by name.  Who would want to do business with an anonymous company especially for health care?  Remember all those mortgage junk faxes with a 1% teaser rate?  Look at the mess we are in now with the mortgage fiasco.

The good news is that the FCC has been aggressively charging some huge fines against big and small junk spam faxers of these useless product and services.  One junk faxer was fined over 2 million dollars because they were cited by the FCC in 2006 and continued to send junk faxes. Two junk faxers were fined on Monday 09/10/07.  Read all about it at:

For the past year, I have been filing complaints with the FCC against junk faxers.  I and my company have been noted in the complaints where the faxer was fined for thousands of dollars for four of those annoying travel junk faxes sent to us.  I think we are getting results since we get far less junk faxes.  I have also received follow up letters from the FCC when the junk faxers are cited or fined.

Instead of trying to resolve this issue with this rogue business, I encourage you to use the time spent calling and fighting but to scan and file a complaint with the FCC concerning ?Walter?s? junk fax. You can do so as I will be doing later today:

And NEVER call those removal numbers.  They do not work and you are just telling the spammer to sell your fax number to other spammers who can fax you too.

Had the same experience. Told them they'd broken the law. They put me on hold, then the line went dead.

When I called back to the same number, I got the message that the 'mailbox is full'.

I received an unsolicited fax also.  There is no information about the company on it.  I was going to try to call, but after reading the comments I am not.

They are such @#$%!!holes there!!!  I freaked out on the company because they would not give me the correct information!!  I called 3 times before I completely freaked out on them..  The owner threatened me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
