this number is for Western Sky/Cash Call...the are a scamming Loan company will 100s of number all over the US. I know this because I copy and pasted the this number for their site to see what came up

I got several calls as well from 909.212.5589.  They threatened to come to my property as well to serve me.  And yes, they gave me a docket number.  Thanks for your post Ann, I was quite frightened by their aggressive calling and language.  I'm going to check online as you stated in your post if this imaginary law suit exists.

These people are a joke, they are scam artists do not buy there line of crap. Just ask them to send you something in writing about the debt and they will refuse, this is how you know they are bogus. They try to scare you out of stealing your money. They will say you are being sued for an unpaid debt and that you need to settle over the phone to prevent a court law suit. They will contact anyone associated to you with threatening to have them served or arrested for with holding information about you. They will give you a bogus doc. number regarding a law suit with your local court. Just call or log on line with your local county clerk office and check on any pending suit status in your name. Just ignore them all together or call them on there threats. SCAM...SCAM...SCAM....This is a scam these people are scum. They will contact anyone you know and say they are working for a law firm and you are being sued for a debt that is unpaid. They are not very good at there scam job because they cant keep up with the lies the caller is being told about there debt. I talked to four of there so called employees and they don't give you the same name of there company each time they were asked. They said they were Bertrand Management or BMG or Bertrand Law. I asked a Christopher if I dialed the correct number 909-212-5589 and he said no, then a few seconds later he says oh yes that is our main line number.{bs} They claim they have documents from the court regarding a law suit of a debt you owe and give you a bogus doc. number. If you get this same line of crap call your county clerks office or log on line and check to see if there is such a case recorded pending a law suit. These scum bags will tell you that a officer is going to show up at your residents today with a summons to appear in court or you can settle or make arrangements to pay over the phone. I contacted LembergLaw .com and he told me to ask them to mail you something in writing. So I called them back and asked  a Susan and she refused to mail anything saying she couldn't and that I needed to pay what ever I could today. What ever you do, do not give them any personal information over the phone. Susan then transferred me to her so called supervisor named Mark G who wouldn't commit to sending me anything in writing and he finally gave up and hung up the phone. SCAM

They called our office main phone stating they wanted to serve a subpoena for an employee.  So I called to find out what it was.  They named an employee who I fired 6 years ago so I said she hasn't worked here in all that time.

They said they would update their records and not call back.  They said they were BMG Associates, the person answering the phone said they were at an office suite, and they gave a case number of CA008449NR.

Thank you all for your comments.  I received a call today stating to call 888-712-3109 regarding a docket # CA8603RLW.  I couldn't make out the first part of the message, but it was something about stopping by my house or something like that.  Gave my correct address, but with an old apartment number, so I knew this was bogus.  I have become so leary of things anymore because my mother is being scammed  - she readily partakes - and our family can't get her to stop, so checking the computer for this phone number was the first thing I thought to do.  Hopefully, it will stop with just this one call.  Doubtful though!  These scammers seem relentless!

does anyone have a name or more importantly, an address for this debt collector?  they are harassing me for someone not affiliated with me and i want it stopped!

I got a message from this guy Friday 10/14/11. He mumbled but did mention case CA008068. I found this web site and figured it was a scam.
I called him back and said I got a message about this case number. He fumbled around a couple of times and couldn't bring it up on his computer. He did know what number I called from. He asked if this was regarding Sue Wayland; I said I don't know her. Since I probably have a Mexican accent, I'm sure he figured out he had goofed up his info.
He acted like he found the 'right' information only after I gave him my first and last name. He said, "I'll remove your number from the list."
Don't know anything else. Don't worry about this clown.

I have received numerous calls for months looking for a woman who has the same name as my ex husbands current (i think) wife. I had two messages regarding case number CA007660NR; they recited my current address and employer; I have been divorced from this man for almost 20 yrs. I did not know it was a scam so when I called I gave them my real name and told them that I had no idea who the person was they had called about. Does anyone know if I should be concerned about giving them my name? Now I am really freaking out. I contacted my ex, but he isn't providing me any information. Please help if you can.

I screen my phone calls, so this person left a message on my answering machine.  She said she was calling regarding my property.  She has documents that need to be delivered and wants to be sure of my correct address.  The documents to be delivered are time sensitive so I need to contact the plaintiff right away.  The number she gave is 888-712-3109.  I was all nervous and wanted to know who was calling me first before I return the call.  I'm so glad I found this site because I feel so relieved, now that I know they are just scamming people.

I received a call actually with caller ID as Boston MA 617-861-4479 but the message that was left on my voice mail had the 888-712-3109 as the number to call them back.  The message stated that they were going to have to begin legal processes on my house if I didn't call them back within 24 hours.  They gave a case number CA007582.  I know for a FACT that there is absolutely nothing that could be happening regarding my house.  Really dude, you even left a message?

I just received a phone call from 1-888-712-3109 with a case number.  They gave a distant relatives name who lives close by as the plaintiff, but we have no trouble with this relative!  We called him and he knew nothing about this.  I am so glad I found this site, as it was driving me crazy.  I can't believe the SCAMS they think of.  I called the number late at night and received the 5563 voice mail with no info given.  I will report this to my identify theft service tomorrow.

IT is a Law office trying to collect a debt

Phone call to my sister-in-law. They are going to subpoena my brother in regards to a lawsuit against my aunt. My brother was in Japan, so my sister-in-law panicked. She called back and they told her that the subpoena was for my aunt, not my brother. She had listed my brother as an alternate address. They live 6 hours apart in different states. The case number, that they gave as california case number, is not a valid case number for the state of california. Reverse lookup does not find the number. Call after 5, it goes directly to extension 5563 voicemail, no name, no company name. Illegal for any attorney or officer of the court to leave numbers not identifying who they are. Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do. While the 888# is a valid outgoing number, with no incoming number or company or valid company name, no action can be taken.
DO NOT GIVE YOUR BANK NAME OR NUMBER, CREDIT CARD NUMBER, MONEY ORDER, AND MONEY. After you receive this phone call, clear the history off all your computers, and ramp up your firewall. To be safe, do this after you buy anything online, or check your bank and credit card accounts online. A computer can be hacked with a car, laptop, and coffee can.

Some guy named Jon Davies left a message & a case # about some documents being sent to my address and that if I had questions to call this #.  Message doesn't make sense. To top it off, this message was left on my boyfriend's phone in which his phone is my 2nd line on my cell plan. Smells like a scam.

Have got 3 of these. The last one was Officer Diane, and she was going to be at my house that afternoon ... in China Lake! I don't live in China Lake, however, one of the previous messages did state my correct address. This is just B.S. and it needs to stop!!!!!

This caller from this number is calling my family memeber asking if they know me. The man says he is an officer, and he gives a case# AC8-00-6596-MDL and says that I am going to be served. They called 5 of my family members on the same day.  This really upset my family and myself. Someone has to track this number. I will be reporting this to my local police dept. also.

Everything that happened to the people that commented,  happened to me yesterday. They evern called my family members asking for my husband. Family members that we haven't seen in years. I googled the phone number and its somewhere in India. ITS A SCAM!!!!

Exactly the same thing happened to me this today and I asked him what's company he is calling from and he did not identify the company instead said he is an officer about to serve something from the court.  I asked him to mail to our home address if he had ones and he said the something must be delivered in person.  I asked him for the phone number to call back and got this number 888-712-3109.  When I called this number, the guy from the other line said there are over 100 companies for this number.  This must be some type of scams.

Said they wanted my husband to call this number as they needed to serve him with a summons for court.  Wouldn't say what it was about. He had our home address and asked if it was correct.  If he has our address, then why have us call another number back rather than just serve us?

got 2 calls,first call said they had sent my sister a packet and she did not respond, and show her case number as no response. second call said they were from the court and if she did not call by the end of the day they would have her arrested.
