If you are a resident of California you can file a complaint with the State Attorney General's Office against the charity for their aggressive solicitation practices. If you ask a charity to take your name off of their calling list, they are required to comply but the FTC's "do not call list" does not generally apply to charities only for-profit companies.  To file a complaint in California go to the following website

I get at least 4-5 calls everyday even Sundays. I would love for this person calling or who is responsible for the calls to be arrested and placed in jail.  It is bothersome.  I am a disabled veterans who served my country well and now I have to be subjected to this type of harassment. I just pray that something will be done, and soon.

Same stuff saying they were from the Breast Canver society.   They come off saying "if you have a heart and do not want to see people suffer, We will send you a pledge card.  What a gimic !!!!!

I have registered with Do Not Call and blocked as many of these calls as possible. I wish their was an  answer. I am thinking of doing away with my phone.

When we asked the organization ( We never heard of you)..they hung up. Now they call 3X day, but no one is there--SCAM

This number called me for a donation  to Breast cancer. When I got off the phone I looked up this number because on  my caller id it shows as unavailable for the name of the caller. They are sending me an envelope to send back a $20 donation. They wanted my debit or credit card info and I refused to give it to them. I have also called the Do Not Call number and listed my phone number to avoid these unwanted phone calls in the future.

this number is getting so annoying always wakes me up.

Calls from this number are getting to the area of harassment, I'm a night worker and have to shut my phone off and just have the answering machine pick the up. This puts my family in jeopardy, because they can't get me in an emergency.

Received call this morning.  Actually called last name.  Their website is definitely a fake because it is FOR SALE!  I have reported them.

Just got a call from this # and it was a toll free call.  The machine picked up and the person was calling my name. "hello Mrs._______, helloooooooo, Mrs. ________, helloooooooo"
So very strange. Of course I knew it was a telemarketer.  So rude. I never pick up toll free calls and I NEVER call anyone back. I just figure they will stop calling I'd no one ever answers.

Just got a call from this number!  They call really, really often!  They don't leave a message, why don' t they just give up.  If it is for donations, then they want get one from me..What happened to 'Do Not Call,'  or Call Intercept which I have on my phone!  Probably will have that removed from my line!  Then I just want answer calls from anyone I don't know.  GIVE UP PEOPLE!!

we get this call in with no ID, don't leave a message. This is a business phone and we have logged these calls coming ih all hours of the day/night. Why aren't the phone companies honoring the distribution of these phone numbers by having a system that forces the name and return number to come up on our caller ID's?

Which phone company issued and receives payment for this number? Why is there no legislation that provides the consumer a way out of being harrassed?

The Breast Cancer Society was subpoenad around June 2010 by the Attorney General of the State of New York as part of for an investigation into for-profit charities. James T. Reynolds is the CEO accordinng to their website. Give him a call at 480-284-4014 everytime The Breast Cancer Society calls looking for a donation, or they call and hang up when you answer, and let him know how you feel about it..

Called today and no one spoke at other end!!!  I called back the number, heard 1 ring, and then busy signal.  Need to relay msg:  "Don't call me again!!"

Trouble is, charitable organizations may be exempt from "do not call" lists, plus any organization that you have donated to are allowed to call you regardless.  I tell them "mail only" and hand up.

I have received  call from this number many times, but I will not answer.  It shows up as unavailable.

have been getting calls from this number also. in Illinois, usually at night between 7-10. usually I don't answer. when i do i hear nothing. i wish they would stop calling me.

They called at 10:01 AM Texas time, 10/06/2010.  These are the same people who use the 866-825-2728 #, which they also use to call me.  Since I know who they are I won't answer the call.  I know that is the scam from the Breast Cancer Telemarketers.  Maybe if enough people complain about them, the FCC will do something to shut them down.  A waste of everyone's time, and they only give about 1% of what they collect to charity.

Am on National "DO NOT CALL" LIST.  Over the past SEVERAL MONTHS I TOLD 866-825-2610" CALLERS SEVERAL TIMES TO REMOVE MY NAME AND NUMBER FROM THEIR RECORDS.  I STILL GET THE CALLS, including one two hours ago.

I strongly recommend that you DO NOT AGREE TO DO ANYTHING FOR PEOPLE AT THIS OR ANY OTHER NUMBER IF THE Caller ID  DOES NOT DISPLAY  WHO THEY ARE.  Even if it does please check with google or other search engine to make sure (within a reasonable probability) that it is not a scam.

My caller ID has listed numbers that are not recognized when I try to call back.

I hate to say it, but, with the holidays just around corner, more of these calls are going to be coming on a daily basis all the way through Xmas.

DO NOT CALL list isnt inclusive ... charities, political, and non-profit can call you.  only real stopper is that they cannot use a robo caller ... that is a federal offense. they can be fined.

I am so tired of all these calls I have been getting in the last 3 months!! each week it is getting worse!!! I have a baby in the house and I get these calls from different numbers 30 time a day. yes I counted them. I just love that do not call list!!! why bother!!!

This number belongs to a "for-profit" solicitor/ telemarketer/ fundraiser named "Associated Community Services" or "A C S" working on behalf of 3rd party "charities".  

You may also be getting the same hang-up or solicitation calls from other unknown numbers or "charities" but they may be coming from Associated Community Services. Some of the ACS "charities" include:

Some fun facts about Associated Community Services:

1. Per the State of Washington Secretary of State, only about 42% of collected donations go to the 3rd party "charity". I've read that in several cases they keep 80% of donations. In the case of Cancer Fund of America, the BBB indicates that the "charity" donated less than 3/10ths of 1% of cash contributions. These are  FOR PROFIT "charities".

2. ACS was sued by the State of Missouri and awarded $100,000+.

3. Google "Associated Community Services lawsuit" and see all of the other lawsuits and complaints ACS is involved in.

4. The State of Connecticut filed suit against ACS in 2009

5. The State of Oregon filed suit against ACS in 2010.

6. The State of Iowa filed suit against ACS in 2010.


Contact Associated Community Services at 248-352-2600 and ask for their customer service department and demand they put your number on their Do Not Call list.

File a Better Business Bureau complaint against Associated Community Services. They are listed with the BBB as "A C S" in Southfield MI. Don't forget the spaces between the letters when you search!

Contact the "charity" and demand your number be added to their Do Not Call list (good luck)

File a BBB complaint about the individual "charity" ACS is calling on behalf of.
