Call the number back. When you dial, it does say GMAC. I had tried to order a replacement remote for my Panasonic theater system. I had to call back to double check something with my order and I noticed what the automated system said then I started to worry. So now I am watching my accounts.

Unknown company on behalf of GMAC Mortgage -- They're calling overly aggressively saying payments are overdue when they are not.

I called that number and they called them self( The Default Division)
they want Account information and your SS# over the Phone  I do not have an Account with them  ,I do not give out Information over the Phone .I do not know this Company

GMAC attack dogs when any payment goes over 15 days.  Let it be a fair warning that you should never knowingly accept a loan with GMAC.  Never but never finance a car, home (anything) with GMAC, leave that to your local Credit Union.  Block the number if your phone or company will allow it.  They have several but I think I have em all by now.

Called today at 12:47 shows as Unavailable even though it was Panasonic actually calling for me. This is NOT GMAC Collections.

This is another valid business calling showing as Unavailable. You would think they wouldn't have a reason to hide who they were.

Again this is really a legit business call from PANASONIC.

this is gmac (4622) collections. any/all calls are automated. they have several different first numbers, but the last four numbers are always 4622 (gmac).

They keep calling this number, when I call them back, and give them the info they need, I get put on hold and noone comes back to talk to me, is this Number a hoax and is just trying to get info for personal use, this is scary!!!

Received two telephone calls within several minutes from 888.714.4622 last night. I don't answer telephone calls from unknown callers.

go to the GMAC website and send them an email.  I did when they kept calling me and I do not have an account with them - but their clients kept misdialing my number by mistake.  

I occasionally get calls from them because their really studid customers cannot dial the pay by phone number correctly and get my cell phone. So they claim to have called my number and could not make payment. (their excuse for a late payment I guess) Never attempting to get the CORRECT number to call!  

Even though my vmail greeting clearly states you have reached the personal and private cell phone of ______ - if you are not trying to reach  _____ you have dialed the wrong number.   These idiots will still call over and over again. I always let them roll over to vmail. In most cases they do not call back - in others they just keep dialing the wrong number over and over again.

Once an idiot argued with me when I answered his 4th call - I kept telling him I did not work for GMAC and could not take his payment.   He kept insisting that I had to take the payment!  I told him to call GMAC and GET THE CORRECT NUMBER and stop calling me.

This number has called me 3 times this week. Finally I called them back and it's a morgage company? I don't have a morgage let alone a house! The first thing the recording asked me was my account number?! So i kept pressing 0 till i got a live person. The first thing she asked for was my full SS#. I told her she must be stupid if she thinks I'm giving that out! I know she has the wrong number and I told her that. She refused to tell me who she is looking for. She said she can't give that info out. I told I know it's not agenst the law to tell me who SHE is looking for. I worked at a collection agency for a long time and I know that rules. She refused so i told her if she calls me again I am going to sue her! DON'T GIVE ANYONE YOUR PERSON INFO!!!!

GMAC credit dept.  Seemed kinda shady.  The lady said my payment hadn't been received but the check had cashed a week before.  Then she tells me a payment much larger than the amount due had been applied and she was calling about that.  What??  You just told me the payment hadn't been received.  Turns out someone must have written down the wrong account number and it got applied towards my account.  Finally got it all squared away and received a letter from them confirming I would not be charged a late fee cause they did not process the payment on time.   Thought I was all set and now I just saw a missed call from them!!!  GMAC SUCKS.

GMAC is committed to harassing me. I advised them several times that the error is on their part and they refuse to look into it. I have received several harassing calls. I have mailed them proof of insurance which they say they did not receive. I owe approximately 100,000 thousand on my account. They forced insurance 2 ½ times my mortgage amount, $250,000. I am only responsible for providing insurance for the mortgage amount and not a dime over. All they have to do is look at the mortgage amount and the amount of the forced insurance and correct it. Instead they just ignore my documented complaints and continue to call & call & call, etc.  

The last call I received I told them that I went and got a certified check for $5,000 to show both my intent and ability to pay. And I started documenting the phone calls for their determination to ignore my complaint and harass me. I demanded either mediation or that we go to court. This request was just blown off.

Every call you get from GMAC states that the call is being recorded. I advised the woman that called that I was also recording the call. She started yelling at me that she did not authorize it and that I am breaking the law. Apparently they don?t have a problem breaking that law every time they call. And in NJ you are allowed by law to record the call as long as you are a part of it.

I had several calls from a 319-433-1442 number and then this number started calling.  When I finally answered one day it was a collections division for GMAC.  The girl didn't know what she was talking about and was asking me info she should have had.  Seemed pretty shady so I didn't give her any info.

This 1 888 714 4622 number called me everyday and when I picked up, once, by accident, noone were on the other line and the machine picked up after. I hung up.

This number as well as another 800 number from this company calls me at least once a month. From what I can gather this is the collection division for GMC (General Motors Corp). They are calling my cell phone number and "wasting" my minutes. This number belonged to a customer of there's over 3 years ago (it's been my number for that long). Obviously this person NEVER pays there bills on time. I've contacted them 5 times and asked that they remove this number from their calling list and they obviously can't get it right. I'd like to report them somehow, but I don't know how, because I'm NOT THEIR CUSTOMER... Just begging that they'll leave me alone!
