Yep, same deal here.  I've received a couple of calls from this company, a recorded woman's voice stating that they could probably get me more than I am asking for a vehicle that I am selling.  The other number this company called me from is 702-257-1006.  They pulled my number from craigslist even though I indicated that I did not want to be contacted by commercial interests.  A Google search indicates that the company is U.S.A. Motor Sales, LLC registered in Las Vegas, NV in Clark County under business license number E05839120074.  I'm contacting the Chamber of Commerce there (of which they're a member) and the BBB.

I also have a car for sale on Auto trader. I did get a call from this company and thought I would google the number before i return the call..  Glad that I did... I do not plan to call them back. And I don't like the fact that a honest person trying to sell a car has to be bothered by scams such as this... If they would throw a sell pitch at me for me to pay them to sell my car. I would make sure they understand Iam far from a fool and If i had Cash to BLOW i would waste it on myself and not them....

By the way, go to their website.  It is a joke.  They have cars on there for outrageous prices.  Not a lot of listings, either, for a nationwide site.

I guess they tell people what they want to hear - that their clapped-out rides are worth thousands and will sell quickly.

It is a clever business model, to be sure - for the owners.

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

But nearly $9000 for a 1979 Ford F-350?  I don't think so.

Be careful when someone asks for money up front.  A true broker (boat, car, etc.) would be willing to collect on the back end, when the vehicle sells.

Time share resellers, car seling scams, boat selling scams, etc. all use the same pitch:  Give us (approx) $500 and we'll sell your item.  They promist to use "best efforts" but under the law, this could mean anything from putting an ad in the paper to listing it on a single website.

It doesn't sell, and well, too bad for you.

The used car market is in the tank right now.  Used cars are NOT selling, and "dreamers" put their cars on Craig's List for over blue book price and wonder why there are no callers.

Instead of paying someone $500 to sell your car, lower your price by $500.  Chances are, that will sell the car faster.

I listed a boat on Autotrader and they called today with a robo-call, offering to sell my "vehicle".  When you get a call or e-mail saying "vehicle" that is a sure tip-off it is a generic message.

By violating the DoNotCall Registry rules, these folks are breaking the law (and no, posting an ad online is not an invitation to robo-calls).  They break the rules from the get-go.  Do you think it will get better from there?

Just say no.  If they were legit, all they'd have to do is set up a website and they'd be the most popular site on the internet right now, as everyone is trying to sell used cars (and boats) these days.

Im selling a vehicle that you have to be crazy to want on craigslist...its a wrangler....lime green....cummins diesel engine swap...no top....no heater....no speedometer....not inspected and they call me telling me how they have 5 or so people who have already made inquiries to the exact vehicle im selling......Are they full of garbage or what....

I got a call from them yesterday....Told me they wanted $289 and that my car was guaranteed to sell..
I asked if they can guarantee it then what happens if they dont sell it like do i get my money back.....
Then the convo turned to well thats not an option we will sell it....we wouldnt make money if we didnt....
so then i asked again and got a whole song and dance about well the time range is from 30-90 days for the guarantee and then asked if i would get my money back again...
She started off on another tangent and i interuppted her and said listen to me....if you dont sell my car do i get my money back....answer was a solid no with an even more solid attitude.....

Yep...Good ol Matt from USA Auto Sales. Same song and dance...the odd thing this time is Matt asked me out on a date and said he was into three ways with other men and donkeys.

I knew they were a bit suspicious but this was a bit over the top.

This company USA Motor sales called me 2 days after I placed an ad for my Corolla on Autotrader. I didn't want to be rude and I did want to sell my car so I listened to their pitch. I ended up coming aboard with them for $199 and they sold my car 5 weeks after I listed it just simply because they had financing (and I don't). So in my book they're great! I'd recommend them to anyone that is trying to sell a car or equipment.

USA Motorsales does not bid on cars that would require too much effort they have leads that come in and are automatically called and left a message.   All the sales guys do is answer the phone if you dont want to call then dont call back. But they offer advertising, warranties, shipping and financing seems like a pretty good idea.

Yes, someone from USA Motor Sales DID bid on my vehicle on Ebay.  I know that it wasn't because they wanted to buy the car.  They wanted to make sure NO ONE bought it, so they made sure they won the auction and then, of course didn't pay for it.  Then they called me and asked if they can sell my car for me.  USA Motor Sales is a scam.  And P.S. $489 is close enough to $500.

Here at USA Motor Sales we do not charge $500.00 we charge $299.00 now there is a diamond package that charges $489.00. We do not bid on e-bay. We may price your car out to see if we can get you more money. There are diffrent companies that do that kind of stuff with e-bay and have a flat rate of $500.00 and that company is called ONE STOP MOTORS.

I received a phone call from 888-746-6867 the day after an auction of my car on ebay ended. Apparently they have another technique...they were the highest bidder on the vehicle and then didn't follow through with the purchase.  I guess, in hopes, that I would decide to use them after getting duped on ebay.  Now I have an ebay fee and no money from the sale of the car.  How do you stop people like this?  They can be the hightest bidder on EVERY car and screw everyone who's trying to use Ebay Motors.

we listed vehicle on craigs list, and it says do not contact for commercial interests, they call offering to sale our car and give them a credit card for their 500 dollar fee - no way - used other #'s too - 702-953-2531 & 702-567-8842 & 702-873-8978.  I would never do business that way.

I also ran a car ad on Craigslist and the next day I got a phone call from this number. As the other commenters on this page it is USA Motors in Las Vegas. They have a really good sales pitch about getting exposure for your auto and how they can sell it and get top dollar. And for all this service you only have to pay $299, $499, or $550 (different plans with different options) and today we are having a sale the $499 package for $399. Don't be fooled this is a RIP off. I did an internet search looking for vehicle ad with the 888-746-6867 and found only a handful. This is a scam!! Don't buy into the sales pitch.

USA MOTORS AGAIN !

SURE SALE AUTO, AUTO SELLER NETWORK, SPECIALTY AUTO NETWORK, EXPERT AUTO, USA MOTORS, ONE STOP MOTORS?? All the same company???. All from 702 area code.
Caller are desperate low-paid(commission only) scumbags from one of these BS market your auto companies.  They will lie to you and tell you they have a buyer for your car.  They spam Auto Trader and Craigslist ads.  They will lie about having buyers, financing, marketing, websites, etc., anything to get you to give them your credit card number so they can charge you for non-existent marketing services.  They also do not follow the law and call numbers on the National Do Not Call List.  They also do NOT maintain a Federally Required Do Not Call List internally.  Asking them to put you on their Do Not Call List will get you nowhere.   These scumbags will call back again and again and again to harass you.  Avoid these frauds !

Also, these companies are VERY WELL KNOWN for coming to these sites and posting fake praise for their company.  It's part of their plan.  They know they get flagged all over the internet and search out the complaints.  They post fake good reports about themselves continually.

Also, after they call, please go to :

www.donotcall.gov

and file a complaint against these frauds for calling you if you are on the national do not call list or if you have already told these scumbags to put you on a Federally required internal do not call list.
