P*ssed Off!!!!!!!!!!!! you are giving out way to much info, they probably check these sites. never give any info like you have on a public forum that doesnt require a login. I am smart and have ways of finding these people. I used to work with a worldwide group stopping spammers. I will get anonymous involved if I have to.

I have friends that work at both csis and the FBI. this will end abruptly for them. i hope they like federal penitentiaries.

i have received the tom drake message today, calling CSIS and FBI. they will be caught then I will post info for all to see. class action lawsuit anyone?

I received a call at my parent's home from a Mitchell, saying had an important message for me to call 1-709-753-7945.....I called back as thought maybe something happened to my parents because I'm house sitting for them while they are on vacation. When I called he said he couldn't tell me anything about the important message unless I verified my phone number and address....of course I didn't do that as if it was a true emergency they would have just told me whatever they had to say.... I asked who he was and who he worked for he said Alliant Swan???? wouldn't give anymore information so I hung up....
I sure hope they don't continue harrassing me or my parents when they get back...they are elderly and don't need that kind of harrassment either.....

Had the same message - the name was Tom Drake with the same number but it was a cut off message that obviously started playing the moment my voice mail message started playing so it was a pre-recorded message. I tried the number- it went to a voice mail of a female with an entirely different number

I'm in New Brunswick Canada and I have been receiving calls from the same telephone number for over a month now. Sounds like the same pre-recorded message aking "Please call Tom Drake, again please call Tom Drake at 1-888-753-7984" Called the # and received an answering system saying, Alliance ...Limited (or similar) recording by a women apoligizing for being unavailable and to leave a message. I left a message and made it clear to remove me from their calling list. I realize the calls are probably going to continue. So frustrating!

Call received in Canada. Some man named Dray or Bray or whose last syllable sounded like that.  Message left was just "Dray at 888-753-7984" so it might just have been a machine calling and that this was just the end of a prerecorded message which started before voicemail started recording the message.

Just had  a call from this number. I did call back. Mary Peters answer phone or thats who she said she was ,never answered with a company name.I asked who was calling and she said a Dave wanted to speak to a member of my house,giving name. Said it was a personal business matter

just called back this number using my privacy block *67 first
some guy named "david" answered without identifying the actual company.
i asked him who he was working for.
he told me i had to id mysef first b4 he would tell me
i told him he called MY number, and i wasnt giving him ANY personal info until he told me who he was representing.

He said he represented SWAN ALLIANCE based in New Foundland and if i was referring to the automated "tom drake" calls, it was becuz my number was a on file as a reference phone number and that they were trying to get an urgent message to the party that left that number

i again asked him what kind of company was he representing and what was the urgent msg
he said it had to do with a collections issue. I told him that would not pertain to me or anyone in my household. he then again asked me who i was so he could determine if i was a "wrong" number. i told him to forget it, i would do my own investigation and put a top to their harrassing calls. he told me go ahead and do whatever i had to do.
i said oh yeah i intend to and i hung up;
I then called bell aliant and asked them about it. they said they had nothing to do with that company and that my account was definitely in good standing..
Unfortunately, they cannot block 800 numbers.

ok...i have had enuff of this...i get a call from this number every day @ different times as late as 9pm early as 9 am...  EVERY TIME it is the same ANNOYING voice saying this is tom drake-please call 1-888-753-7984:.i ignore this call-have never responded but this jerk has become a big pain in my butt so i called aliant to see how i can block the number..after being on hold for 22 yes 22 minutes, .i got an agent, told her my complaint and was told i could block the number by using these instructions as follows:
1) DIAL *60,
2)wait for prompts
3)enter # then 1-888-753-7984 then # again
(I also tried entering number without entering "1" first then 888-753-7984

both attempts failed on several tries..all i get is this msg:   "we are sorry, the number you have dialed is not available with this service"   wtf?????? this is totally bs    

any suggestions?

This "Tom Drake" called me on my cell phone!!! I will not call him back as he didn't say what company he was calling for.

I get one of these calls every single afternoon.  It says something along the lines of "Please call Tom Drake at 888-753-7984..."

Talk about annoying.  And no, I'm not going to call it back.

It's probably just some scam number that gets you to call them back and get money off of you. It doesn't exactly say it's toll-free or anything, so they probably just get you to call them, no one's there, and then they get money anyway. I wouldn't call them back at all, I have no idea who these people are, and I don't have any accounts with "Aliant" or Bell. "Mr. Info" most likely just works for them. We don't owe anyone money!

I get them at least twice per week.  Called back and it's Alliance something.  I was told to contact Mary Peters but now some Tom guy.  No one is ever there, they just have answering machine that says leave your name and number.

Doubt it is collection agency, as I too don't deal with companies mentioned.

1-888-753-7984 when called back said Aliant or Alliance LTD, not Bell Aliant. I used to work for Aliant and they deal with 1-866 numbers. We get a Mary Peters leaving a message, that has been cut off as to whom she wants to speak with. So we figure that it is a telemarketing scam of some kind. It started right after the Haiti crisis.

How do you know, may I ask? I don't have or ever had any accounts from either of those companies and they are calling me constantly. I am going to find out and report them for harassing me, they've filled up my machine. I have to listen to 10 of those cut off messages before finding out what my mom wants. Ridiculous.

It is a collection agency for Aliant and or Bell based out of Newfoundland.  If they are calling, then you owe Aliant or Bell some money.
