I just noticed a charge against my card for 169.00 to cyberprodnet as well. It is very late but I'd still like to know what's going on.

In the fine print it says that they have the right to charge your card for more bids when you run out. Common bid package prices are 169 and 95.86. They claim that you have to call to cancel your account, but they don't list a number on the site. i tried emailing them, but i also cancelled my credit card account, so now they have no way to keep billing me.

Hey guys,  i just did a bit of digging and i found out where my charge came from. I registered on a site call upbids.com, it is a penny auction site where you purchase bids upfront. I purchased bids back in Feb and wasn't too impressed with the site, then i got the mysterious charge of 95.86. I'm the upbids fine print it says that they have the right to charge you for more bids when you run out. 95.86 is the price of one of hte smaller bid packages, 169 is one of the higher packages. I though i had cancelled my account, i followed the steps on the website at least. I emailed their costumer service, but haven't heard back yet.

with those sites you by bids before you start bidding. you probably purchased x amount of bids, and they charge you upfront for that. go back to the and look for something called a 'bid balance', it will probably show that you still have bids you have not used.

I just disputed a charge of 95.86 that showed up on my credit card statement on 4/1 under:

'CYBERPRODNET LLC 888-7588747 CA'

I called the number and never got an answer.  I just reported it to the card company, and when the could not get an answer either, they filed a claim, closed my account and are sending me a new card. This is defiantly a fraud. I would call you card company immediately to request new cards if you have a similar charge with this description.

95.86 also posted to my account today 04/01/11 and am definitely disputing. Could not get thru to anyone with the 888-758-8747 number.

the same thing happen to me for 95.86 on 3/31/11 . I was not even on my computer. The charge was made on my Suntrust ck card which I already stopped.

Yes. I also had a charge for $169 on my chase credit card in Jan and now they did it again... I really don't know what I should do????  I have to go through the same steps I did before.. this is really sucks.

I have the same problem with a charge of 95.86.  I have called B of A and they said to wait till the charge is posted.  Then dispute it.  I am changing my card number.

This is a version of the automatic debit scam as described by the FTC here http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/telemarketing/tel06.shtm  It's frequently mysterious as to how they got your account info in the first place. They might be fraudulently charging accounts at random or more likely you might have given/used your account to get something in exchange for a $-off coupon,  a free something like a shopping card with a small shipping fee, etc., and buried in the fine print is authorization to auto-charge your account every month with bullsh*t difficult-to-cancel subscriptions. The methods used to get you to "agree" to the fine print is endless and they come up with new schemes every day.
To stop the billing, contact the scammer to kill the subscription and get your money back and if that fails, tell your card issuer or bank that fraud has occurred and have them refund the money and replace the account - this is important, the account must be replaced because criminals have it and they can charge again or sell account info to other criminals. Report to the Internet Crime Complaint Center http://www.ic3.gov/complaint/default.aspx , the Federal Communications Commission http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm , the Federal Trade Commission https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/ and your state AG, as appropriate.

I also got hit with this $169 charge from this Cyberprodnet company. I too called the number and it rings and rings and then disconnect on me too. I have never heard of them before and have never gotten a call from them.I now have to file a police report and then go and file a fraud report at my bank to get my money back and to get a new debit card. I really hate this. This is the first time this has happen to me. It makes me mad that people do this to other people.

Yes, I got my money back within the week.  But I had to get a new ATM card.

No.  I do not bank with boa.  Withing one week they credited my account the 169.00. , but I had to get a new ATm card

I also had a $169 charge on my last Visa bill.  It shows Cyberprodnet LLC 888-7588747 CA.  I have tried calling and I don't get an answer.  I don't remember anyone ever calling me from this number.

I just received my credit card statement from CITI Bank and i have 3 charges from CYBERPRODNET LLC .....this is so crazy. I was trying to find out some information in the computer and found all this complaints!!!! i am calling my credit card right now! I have a charge on 2/1, another 2/3 and another 2/5 and total of $166.83.

I JUST RECEIVED A CHARGE MADE TO MY CREDIT CARD FROM CYPERPROD.NET 888-758-8747 FOR $169 ON 2-8-11. THIS CHARGE WAS ON MY CHASE VISA CARD.  I AM GOING TO DISPUIT THE CHARGE THROUGH THE BANK

I just had the same thing happen to me on my Chase credit card statement - the fraudulant item charged was for $169 showing the vendor "CYBERPRODNET LLC - when I called Chase, they said someone purchased some kind of web software, in which I have never heard of or purchased.  I now have to fill out a dispute form and will include this documentation with my form.  Thanks 800notes!  This should help prove it is a fraudulant charge on my account.

I have had the same experience.  I do not bank through bank of america hough.

My bank also shows the same amount, $169.00 as pending in process. I bid upon three irems, all LCD TVs of different brands. The highest bid shown on one item was $59.00. The other two items' bids were in total less than $10.00 How in the hell that adds to $169.00?

I bank with JPMorgan Chase, and I also received a $169.00 charge from "U R* CYBERPRODNET LL 888 02/05U R* CYBE" that I did not authorize.  The phone number disconnects after a few seconds...  Their website (http://cyberprod.net/) contains no contact information and contains multiple heavy grammar and spelling mistakes, giving it a rather suspicious appearance.  A quick whois search found that the site is registered with the following info:

I never cot a call or ordered anything. I got a 169.00 charge on my Visa and am trying to dispute it. This compant has not responded
