Caller ID reported this 888-790-2747, name "unaavailable".  No message; number run through phone number trace services say the number is not a valid number.

I returned a call for this number after many calls from them. An automated message explained that it's, " Autism, WIngs of Hope Program",  I pressed, "1" for, "more info," and then, "1" again for a msge. explaining how to have my number deleted from their database. That was earlier today so I don't know if it worked but, I was advised that they would make an effort to delete my number in the next couple of days but, according to federal regulations, they had 30 days to comply. Hope this helps someone else.

Received call from 888-790-2747 (800 Service on caller id) today.  It was the Autism Foundation mentioned above, said his name was Phil Harris and he wanted to send me 15 envelopes to deliver to my neighbors, in order to "get the word out" about their organization.  I told him I wanted to be removed from their call list and he said he would - we'll see.  I am already on 'do not call' list.

They call every day and never leave a message.  What a bother!  The NO CALL list must not apply to them.  They really irritate me.

I have caller ID, so although the phone ringing and having to look to see who it is is annoying, I do not answer the phone, although the pick up hang up is my new method.
If i do not know you I will not answer, private number no answer.....Can't leave a message.

According to 800notes this is from the National Autism foundation.  The called at 8:30pm.  Left no message.  Apparently the Do Not Call list doesn't apply to them?!

VA Bugged blog is CORRECT.  Autism Spectrum is NOT part of Autism Speaks.  Read the blog and go to the website.  Here is additional info.  This number called my home at 8AM today.  I am blocking this number along with all the others they use.

Have received numerous calls using 888-790-2773 and 888-330-4072. And 888-790-2747  These numbers have been identified on other blogs as Autism Foundation Wings of Hope Program.  If you research you will find that it has been identified as a SCAM.

Be advised that Wings of Hope and its parent organization, Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation, are not in any way related to the Autism Society.  Here is a link that you can check for yourself

I have blocked these calls.  My system is set up so that my phone will NOT ring however messages will go to my recorder.  Obviously no messages left

The two numbers I have listed have called me all this week 4/23 right thru to this morning Sat 4/30.

On 4/23/2011, I did as Mr. M suggested:  "1. Call # Back; 2. Press 1 then listen to prompts; 3. Press 3 to be removed from list; 4. Enter the 10 digit # you want removed."  

No more calls until...5/2/2011, 1658 hrs.  (No, I didn't pick up and they didn't leave a message.)  I have added the number to my list of blocked #s.  I may have to do a filtering and list only the numbers I want to receive calls from.  They are such a PIA.

Yes, I have received this call asking me to give letters to my neighbors. I agreed without thinking. A couple of weeks later, I found a message on my VM telling me I had agreed to send the letters by mail and that I would pay the postage. I did not agree to postage. Postage was not mentioned. I have not heard from then since then since I do not answer any numbers I do not usually answer any id's I do not know. The only reason i messed up and answered was that they called after I went to bed and was asleep.

Whatever, I agree that it does not sound ligit, especially when I see all the different things people are being called about from the same number.

If they arrive, I will return them.

Received this exact call/request today.  Guy said he was Phil Harris from Autism bla bla - I refused and asked him to remove my number from their call list.  He said he would and that was (hopefully) the end of it.  I am on the do not call list and am not sure why that would not apply to this organization but suspect that it is becasue they are not technically asking me for money.

The number 888-790-2727 calls us non stop for over a month and no one is ever on the line.  Dead silence then the phone disconnects.

  We've tried calling back to let them know to take our number off their list.  We get a recording to press 1 for more information about them then the line disconnects.

How can we win?  Useless calls.

This number calls everyday AS EARLY AS 8 A.M.  I recently started picking up to tell them to stop calling and to remove me from whatever calling list they have.  I say Hello several times and no one says anything.  Today, just now, after I started saying "Please remove me from your list, stop calling at this number"  OHHHHHHH all of a sudden someone starts to talk, "maam maam..."  I talked over them once again and repeated loud, slow and clear "DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER ANYMORE.  TAKE MY NUMBER OFF OF YOUR CALLING LIST."  I'm tired of this.  Who can I contact directly?  I should have to change my number or pay $6.00 a month to block unwanted calls.

No message, just lots of calls.

It is the Autism Foundation Wings of Hope.  My complaint is that they call constantly, I do pick up, and it is ALWAYS a hang up.  You can't collect donations from me if you hang up on me three times a week.
Lulu, yes....many charities use the "letter distribution" practice.

Just received a call from that number.  I have caller ID and let my answering machine pick up.  They hung up.   Chariety or not this is harrassment and should not be allowed by law.
