Same as the rest above. I gently tell them to hold for a second while I turn off the stove, and let them wait till they give up. If everyone would put them on hold, I can imagine the whole office quiet while they wait, and the managers going nuts. All credit card offers and junk mail I recieve I stuff into prepaid envelopes and let them pay postage to recieve some of my junk mail. They only pay postage if you use the return envelope, so send it back empty if you want. Remember to remove any identifing info. Let's let these companies see what it's like to deal with some unwanted trash in their mail. Who knows, maybe they may want your pizza coupons.

Since I have called these thugs probably a dozen times and left a message requesting..and eventually 'demanding' my phone # be removed from their list---to no avail--- when they call I now simply hit "talk" and INSTANTLY "off" without saying a word.  That would be rude of me, yes, if I hadn't met with their rudeness in ignoring my NUMEROUS requests to be removed from their harrassment list. I even told them in no uncertain terms we would NEVER donate to their organizations (via them anyway), we would either IGNORE their calls or pick up and hang up immediately.

"Charitable Organizations" (ruse!!!) operate with multiple toll free numbers, which I tend to make mental note of.  I've just now started keeping a written list handy. I concur with Barbara--I don't answer toll free #'s.

I support (and, quite frankly, enjoy doing so) various organizations like Special Olympics or Police Protection, et al., DIRECTLY ...NOT when 90% of my donation goes on the pockets of these obnoxious and brazen "pimps"(~;)!

They just called and left no message.  I could hear talking in the background like it was some telemarketer.

Those police organization calls are a scam.  They give a tiny fraction to some police group and keep the rest.

I get them all the time from this number and they will not leave a message. I do not answer toll free numbers.

This company calls for many police organizations. I donated once and they now don't take No for an answer. Continue calling after me asking them to stop.
