CAN;T ANYONE STOP THIS CALLER

Have been getting these calls for over 2 weeks now, and a slew of others from valid companies - all saying my husband submitted an online app for an extended life insurance policy.  He didn't.  They have his name, address, and home phone.  It's scary and you start wondering if someone is attempting to steal your identity?  I believe they are buying lists of zip code residents and use that info to skirt the Do Not Call list.  I have been promised by every legitimate company that bought one of these leads from 888-802-0145 that they'd take care of it.  They are also paying this outfit $8 a lead.  So they're out money too.  The 888 number has never left a message, but the companies they sold the lead to did (MetLife/Farmers/ and State Farm).

Odd, the 'supposed' person that submitted the form for an insurance quote gave a birth date of 10/10/1983 and also wanted coverage for an Audi, which we don't own.

I answered & got an automated message reminding of my Cable TV hook up through Bright House in Bradenton Florida.

Smart move, Callie.  I tried to do the same thing and it says the number is no longer in service.  My a** they aren't!

Lovely... I am getting the same thing... no response, just a call and no voice or anything.  Good thing I'm throwing my prepaid cel phone away!!!

First I received a call from 708-995-4514. They did not leave a message. As I was researching it I recieved a call from 760-780-0731, which is my local area code. I answered and the person said they were looking for a Trayvon and that she had given them my number (as hers) she was 24 years old and looking for life Insurance. I do not know or have I ever heard of this person. Unfortunately, I answered with my first name and now they have it. As soon as I hung up from that call I received a call from 888-802-0145. I did not answer it. After goggling the number I found the information from this site which basically matches the same information and issues as when I goggled 708-995-4514. They appear to be sneaky and persistent!

This number is calling a university office. Any idea how I can stop it?
Has anyone noticed that the calls stopped after doing what one responder said here who called and asked to be taken off the list?
Since I'm not in my office too much, will the lack of an answer finally discourage the robot?

I just called them back and Liz is correct. I dont know yet if the calls will stop but the robot said I was removed from the list.

this number sucks a** calls me 2-3 times a day. i just followed Liz's advice, i hope it works and they dont just refer my number to dozens of other list now that they know it's a working number.

I finally lost it yesterday with these dirt bags. They called my cell phone while I was in the shower. I answered and just waited, and waited until somebody FINALLY came on. A woman answered and I went medieval on her *ss. I told her to take off her call list. She said, "Thank you for your time." Today it started again. Something HAS TO BE DONE about these people! I'm supposed to be on the do-not-call list.

I have been receiving an average of 2 calls/day - every business day - from 888-802-0145 for the past three weeks. Same M.O. - "heavy breathing" followed by hang-up, and NO voicemails.  Another friggin' idiot with too much time on his/her hands! This sh*tbag should have been killed at birth! (S)he is just a waste of skin.

Same deal - multiple calls every few hours for the past several days from this phone number.  I don't answer it, they don't leave a message.    How do we block or file a complaint to FCC or BBB?

I told him I didn't know who he was or who the person was he was calling. He told me if I got any other calls there was nothing he could do about it - then I started getting the calls.

maybe he could help someone find out what's going on - I'm afraid to call him again.

No ID except the number. I let it go to voice mail. Message was breathing sounds, and then people in the background - like a call center. I heard someone in the background say "please leave a message," but they were probably on another call. I blocked the number. I'm on the do not call list, but that seems to be a waste of time. That's the downside of porting a landline number to a cell phone - telemarketers keep calling you... and so do collection companies for old roommates. I'm not wasting my minutes on those callers.

My phone app for reverse lookup says 314-283-4049 is Phil Sher from Ladue, Missouri.  Light his a** up with calls and texts.  Tell everyone in your phone to call it and not leave messages. Text him to drop dead and stop calling people

I called them back and they gave me a phone number to remove the name from ALL the people they sell it to.  its 18006472164 hopefully that will help yall remove it too. Apparently, someone signed up My phone number on a insurance quote site and so i have about 48 hours before the calls Stop.

I got 3 phone calls from this number yesterday.  I would say hello and all they did was yell hello, hello, hello, hello 6 or 8 times and then hang up.

Phone rang but no one was there. This is the third call in less than an hour to my cell phone the other two were pitching health insurance claiming I had filled out a request for it, NOT.
