Heaven knows my BIL is not Jesus - he hasnt come back from the dead! No agency should be calling me to obtain info on someone. Especially when I'm on a do not call list!

Whom ever is taking the time to make these unwanted calls, need to get a REAL job.. I never answer their calls.. sounds like a scam to me, because they never leave a message.. they need to peddle their peas to someone more stupid than me..I was born at night but not LAST night...

They are the scum of the earth. We will get them. That's what families do stick together and file report after report until we get somebody to listen. I still cant get up with mom, but she will call me back. She is NOT in the mood to deal with these idiots so god help them.

They called Dave and ask him of he was that Excitor of the estate he told them that he loved bud but did not think bub loved him that much ,seeing that he's been with me for 17 years and still not married and of course he cused them out for disrespect and anything he said I can not send over the web he was plssed to put it light ,Dave did love bub and Ann,,,,

My former sister in law just told me she got a call from this company about my husbands deceased step dad.The person on the phone ask her boyfriend if he was the executor of my deceased father in laws will. I know for a FACT he left no unpaid debt, the man was very frugal with his finances and kept a $0 balance on any monies going out. STOP praying on families that are suffering from the loss of loved ones, IF they are going to call and try to scam people like this, they at least need to MAKE SURE they dont call the x husbands and wives of the children of the deceased. STOP scamming people and get a real job already.  I am reporting these people to the NC attorney generals office as well as the fbi telephone and internet division. do NOT answer their calls

How do these vultures even find out your family member died? How did they get my phone number? He was so whiney, I couldn't even understand his name. His number was 888-806-9074, ext. 4086.

Just received a call asking for the person handling deceased person's financial matters.  They were showing a sibling had passed instead of the person who actually passed.  Not sure where they are getting their information, but I'm not answering anymore calls unless I know the person/number.

I just received a phone call on my cell phone from these scammers, Ascension Point, probing for information about my deceased Daddy.  They chose the wrong retired corporate banker to try to glean information from.  The phone number that appeared on my cell phone is 888-806-9074.  I knew the vermin would float to the top after my Daddy passed away, and it is.  I just blocked that number, and will continue to block any and all numbers of all the pondscum that try to scam me!!!!!!!!!!

My parents keep getting a call from these idiots sating that they need to talk to a relative of my Ex wife , funny thing is my ex wife is still alive !! Clearly a scam !!! These Morons and I use the term loosely should be put in jail or charged with Harassment and coercement etc,,,  The Number is 888-806-9073

I received a call concerning financial matters for my brother who was apparently dead.  I called to inform the company that my brother was very much alive and that they need to fact check before they try to bother people.  I then called my brother to let him know that he was dead; we had a good laugh.

Don't get rid of your home phone!!  Otherwise you'll be using your cell number for everything.  I keep my home phone for a default contact online business and people who say they need a phone number, but whom I am skeptical about.  So when my cell phone rings, I'm pretty sure it's someone I want to talk to.

Me again...just called them back and when told the call was being recorded, I told the gal the same thing & that I would turning it over to our attorney general. She quickly transferred me to another person. I told her we're onto them and their scam and know exactly how they work.  She got really quiet....didn't deny it. She assured me they won't call again.

Just got yet another call from this number, so decided to "google" it. Glad we did!  This time, however, they left a voice mail.  They're trying to clear up a debt that my dead father in law left unpaid.  My father in law has been dead 16 years!! He also always paid cash for everything - never bought anything on credit.  We got this type of call a couple of years ago and they asked for his ssn.  I asked them to verify the number THEY had for him and the guy stumbled and stumbled.  I told him if he'd call back the next day my husband would be happy to talk to him.  He didn't call, but a woman did.  She was easy...we asked her all sorts of questions & she answered!! She told us they buy debts from companies in order to collect the cash for themselves. They gather up ALL the phone numbers for ALL the people in the country with that name and start calling. There are hundreds, sometimes thousands who have that same name!! And hundreds of fools will fall for this scam and pay whatever to "clear the name of your dear departed one".  This company doesn't care if they get the right person! All they're interested in is collecting as much cash as they can!! BEWARE!!!

These people are scum sucking pigs. My grandmother died nine months ago.. They called my Mom her daughter claiming she had an inheritance coming to her.. Are you kidding me.

Called regarding my late husband's estate.  There was none.  I don't answer these calls.

I'm at work, and our work cell phone rings. I picked it up and answered with our greeting "Thank you for calling ext." And this lady asked me if someone there was in charge of my wifes, X-husbands deceased brothers financials.  They gave the proper name of him.  I started to ask how they got this number, what do you want? what do you do? She said that they were in the finance business. Do you have a website?  They lady "Wendi Burns" said they don't have a website.  I wrote down her information and said I would pass it along. (Sounded very scammy) The number she gave me was 888-806-9073 # 3722.

I looked up their phone number, their website and their BBB.

Their a debt collection agency, their online reviews are terrible, their BBB is good (But we know that does not mean anything anymore)

I called the number back, it asked for my 10 digit number,  I didn't put anything in and it forwards me off to an operator.  And guess who answers the phone, Wendi Burns.  She asks to whom Im I speaking. I told her I talked to you like 2 minuets ago. Had no idea who I was. This company must hire phone drones to scam people. Also she was very rude when I informed her that they do have a website and the number on it is not working. I also pointed out that their is nothing positive about their company online.

My mother received a call on her cell phone from Ascension Point regarding my deceased ex-father-in-law.  I haven't been in his family for the better part of 16 years, coming up on 17.  I tried to ask how they even got my mother's cell phone number when we didn't even have the phones until almost 10 years after we were divorced.  They wouldn't tell me how they got my number and supposedly they'll take it out of their records.  We shall see.

They called me this morning, Wanting to know who is the person responsible for my deceased mother's debts.  Some guy named Ian Young ex 3739. My mother passed away 7 years ago, he's kind of late on this one.

So we got a call from Ascension Point regarding the 'financial matters' of my late father. So here's the thing. My father died in 1985 and I can say with certainty that he has no financial matters unsettled. I don't know where these people got his name or our current phone number (we've moved several times since his death) but do not cooperate with these people. I told them to remove us from their calling list or I would report them to the attorney general of our state.

Ascension Point debt collection for the dead!  After reading the posts, I'm glad I was rude to Stephanie.  They wanted to talk to me about the finances for the late "Walter Arnold."  Never heard of him.  I wanted to know how she had my number for someone unknown since we've had this number for over 20 years.  She didn't want to state how she had this number.  Did he have this number 20 years ago?  Are these vultures checking back on deceased people that far back?  

She said she would remove our number, and I told her that if I get another call regarding a Walter Arnold, that I will state that "Stephanie said she would remove our number and please let me yell at Stephanie."

We are getting calls from these people about my deceased mother in law.  What scum.  How low can these people sink this low.  I thought teller marketers were low.  They are the cream f the crop cmpared to these idiots.

CONTACTED BY JERRY OS ASCENTION POINT TO COLLECT ON A DEBIT OF MY DECEASED FATHER, CALLED NUBER BACK BUT WOULD NOT GIVE ANY INFO UNTILE I WOULD PROVIDE THEM WITH MY INFO WHICH I REFUSED. IT'S A BIG SCAM

Message was left on my phone today from 888-806-9073 about a debt from my deceased friend and that whoever handled the deceased account needs to return their serious call.  I called but a robot voice said I needed to leave my name and number along with the reference code.  I did not leave a message which was a wise decision after having read online that this is a scam.

So what if the deceased had a debt? In most states the decendants are not liable for debts incurred.
