Silly, smelly coolies trying to scam decent citizens.

Criminal Coolie called stating it was from microsoft and I had a virus.  I asked it to instead send a cab to my address.  "Cab?  What cab?" CC asks.  "The cab your Dad drives." I say.  I hung up on it.
They should keep to jobs as cabbies or chai wallahs or janitors at the 7-11 and stop bothering decent people.

Sure is scam! They phoned me and told me to get on my computer and that I had a virsu and they were calling from Microsoft - hm I am running another platform. They should be all hung up by their fingers.

Just called today.  Didn't pick up and let the answering machine get it.  Could here a guy with an Indian accent saying "hello, hello" and hang up.  Likely the same "Microsoft support" scam.

Caller with an Indian accent asking about my "Windows computer." As I don't have one, I cut him off there and hung up.

I don't usually pick up the phone when I see numbers I don't recognize, but when I'm awaiting an anticipated call I do. What an eye-opener -- the vast majority of callers today appear to be offshore scam artists.

Isn't there anything our regulators can do to protect us from this kind of harassment?

Received a call from this number. Caller identified himself as "Kevin" from Microsoft. Informed me that I had a Windows virus and they were going to help me fix it.  I told him I was surprised that Microsoft was so invested in my online security and was being so proactive!  I let him go on for awhile on how I need to protect my computer from the vicious Windows virus I had just downloaded. I then informed him his database must have been attacked from the virus... as I have only MACs.  After he told me that I could F-- myself up my A-- and then several more F---Y--s for good measure... he hung up.

This number calls me about once a week...never leaves a message...calls at all times of the day...has woken up my baby several times...I can't connect to anyone to get on it's do not call list...as I am on the national do not call list...by the other posts...this is some huge assh*le....if anyone knows how to stop this harasser please post.

2nd attempt to connect. Dead air -Time-out. Checked Call duration. Call Timer showed 30 seconds. This suggests that the caller hang up just as the connection was being made (or answered after the 1st ring).

IF you answer the call after 1 Ring, then they know, that CALLER-ID will not be working, as it only works after the 2nd ring (The Data gets sent during the pause between the 1st ring and the 2nd ring)

So Beware of this Number it appears to be bogus scam artists.

Also got call again from them. Same scamming team , just a different spoofed CallerID.

Threatening them with the laws, or FTC or DNC list is useless. These guys are robo calling from either India or Pakistan so the authorities over here in North America have no jurisdiction.

Best thing is to play along as long as you can and waste their time, but never let them get access to your machine.

Caller rang two times , but no answer at the other end when I asked "Hello, Hello?" ....

I got a call from this number and it was a man on the line saying he was calling from technical support about my computer. when i said ok he hung up on me. someone needs to put an end to people being able to call like this.

Totally bogus - finally said I wouldn't talk to him. Fishing for personal info.
Same scam everybody else got.

Even on the 4th of July this miserable person calls claiming I have a virus. Unreal.

The digitone call blocker automatically blocks all the 800, 888, 855 calls from ever coming in here.
The best investment I have made for peace and quiet from these callers who violate the do not call listing.

I get calls from this joker once in a while. Same thing, only I said "How do I know you are Microsoft"? I said "I am not going to let you take over my computer, but thanks anyway!!" He said I'm not going to do that! I said that I need an email or caller I.D. saying Microsoft before I do anything w/you. Not planning on doing business w/him in either case, I thought of teens,  older folks and newbies & how they would handle this. I hate to think this guy in/from India could scam anyone that does not know any better.
We need to shut him down, but how?? At least tell him you are on the state & federal 'Do Not Call' list and that he could be fined $500 for each call when you take him to court!! That is very true. Then, acually get ON the lists, both of them!!
My big shock today is finding out that he uses the f-word. I'd love to 'play' with this scammer, but who knows what he is capable of??? Major Sick-o's out there.

Wow!  Got a call from this number from some dude with an Indian accent. He told me I had a suspicious virus and he wanted me to check it. I played along just to see how far he would go. He told me to go into my registry and type in eventwvr. Seriously???  I told him I was on to dnc list and he needed to remove my number immediately!  I hung up.

I received  a call today identified by caller id as Harry Watson 805-773-8844.  I missed the call but checked online and found it to be a valid number for this name but didn't pursue it any further.  Two hours later I received a call from a toll free number 888-810-0399.  The caller identified himself as Harry Watson (very heavy accent).  He said my computer was sending my personal information all over the world and if I would sit down in front of it he would walk me thru how to stop it. (Really?).  I told him that my son takes care of my computer, that I don't do any of that and he would have to call back when he was home.  The caller hung up.

Robo Call no one was there when I picked up

Call been coming here for about 4 years. Approx 6 times a year.
Asks for Mr. Davis or Mr. Davies -  clearly english speaking -  no discernable accent.  Sometimes femal  sometimes male. Sound sort of officious.

Been getting this call for about 4 years -  maybe  6 - 8  times per yer.

Asks for Mr. Davis or Mr Davies. . We have had the number for 30 years and never been a Mr. Davis or Mr. Davies here.

Gettin fed up with it.

Just received a call from this number...said he was from micro-soft and  I have a Trojan virus...I said don't think so... he slammed the receiver down

Just had a call similar to all the ones described above, same number, same "Microsoft Windows" fake id, same virus cleanup claim. I said, "oh, you mean you're going to ask me to give you information about my computer and then hack it?" He hung up. There had been a lot of loud music in the background at the beginning of the call, by the way,

I, too, just received a call tonight from 888-810-0399 where they said my Win 7 O/S had downloaded malicious content.  Told him he was foolish for trying to get my credit card #, how stupid did he think the US people are, and to go F*** himself.  Waited for his response, but he didn't say anything, so I hung up.

HE TOLD ME THE SAME THING HE IS FROM MICROSOFT AND ASK ME TO LET HIM CONNECT TO COPUTER HE IS  GOING TO FIX IT . ITS A SCAM

Just received a call from "Microsoft"; East Indian accent.  Wanted access to my computer...there ought to be SOME WAY of stopping these calls!

Had the same call yesterday from some East Indian telling me that my computer
was sending out messages that it was infected with a virus.
I played along, pretending that I was following his instructions to go into
'eventvr", without entering a keystroke, and feigned surprise that nothing was happening.
After 5 or 6 minutes I told him that I was purposely wasting his time because I knew
he was a scammer.
I really tried hard to convince me that he wasn't 'one of those guys."

This Indian guy called us. 2nd time in 6 months, giving us the whole" you have a virus and we've been told by your computer." As soon as I ask for his name, company,location, and what program " told" him, he hangs up...

I also recieved  a phone call from this number 888-810-0399, stating that they had reports stating that I was having trouble with my computer..  which I was not..  I told him call another time, as I was on a long distance phone call at time..  It helps knowing Im not the only one, getting these crazy calls.. this guy also had a middle eastern accent  too..
