I received a call from an agent  Mack who said. I owed a payday loan from 2012 she said she was going. To have me arrested. And at a felony charge because. It was over $350 . They also said they would email. Me with docs and that they couldn't. Give the payday. Loan company info but wanted me to pay them, so I changed my debit card info.I'm glad I saw this site.

Hi, This same NIKKI PRICE did the same thing to me, but at the time I never did research because she seemed so professional at what she was claiming to be. I didn't know the laws and the scams that were going on with payday loan scams. So of course I gave all my info and paid 250$ to these people. I have learned my lesson as it was the first time this has happened to me. My best friend just got scammed the same way but different people in different area. This is so sad that people stoop this low just to make a buck. God see's everything these people are doing to others and they will get theirs when they stand in front of him at the end of their days. I and my friend have also reported these people to the bbb and attorney generals office.

Here are some facts about debt collection.  The original debt was probably sold to a subsidiary, for instance BoA sells your defaulted cc debt to a shell corporation two floors below their corporate headquarters.  It's the same company.  Meanwhile, BoA tacks on interest and continues to try and collect the original debt.  The shell corp also tacks on interest and now tries to collect on the same debt.  This process can be replicated several times until a bottom-of-the-barrel scavenger company like PSA buys the debt for a few pennies.  That's all they pay!  In the meantime, each corporation that acquired the debt tends to try and collect it.  Say you pay PSA off, don't assume that thats the end of it!  The other companies all claim they own the debt too.  Nobody has the ability or inclination to retire the debt.  So much interest has been compounded that a small debt of $400 can blossom into $4000, then $40,000.  

There are only two things you can do to end this cycle.  Declare bancruptcy.  George Washington, father of our country, declared four times.  Benjamin Franklin declared three times.  Thomas Jefferson declared four times.  Over half of the current US Congress has declared bancruptcy.  Don't worry about it.  In court no doubt you'll notice that a query of your debt turns up duplicated instances of the same debt, all being claimed by numerous companies.  What do you care?  You list them all with the court.  This is precisely the scam - it legitimizes the debt and creates a paper trail out of non-existant debts which the parent corporations can then use to get out of paying hundreds of billions in State and Federal taxes.  

The other thing you can do is find out the Statute of Limitations for your State.  Usually it's around 6 years.  After this, you write the three credit reporting agencies and inform them your States SoL has now passed and the debt is now defunct.  

Last word of advice - change your phone number.  I can't for the life of me figure out why people get attached to the same phone number as if it's part of their identity.  Just call the phone company and change it and the collectors stop calling.  Also, stop filling out online or magazine forms that are sold to compilers and resold to collection agencies.  They are just phishing for your info so they can find you again, or tie you to a family member so they can call them instead of you every day at 8am hoping your old mother slips up and gives them some juicy info.  DON'T DO IT.  These debt collectors have to call hundreds of numbers a day.  Don't make yours stand out.  Also, never answer unknown numbers.  Why would you do this?  Desperate for conversation?  Let it go to the non-descript answering message (you have reached 555-555-5555, please leave a message).  If it's important you can call them right back.

I just have to say that it is a big comfort to read some of this other information from above. I have been dealing with these PSA people for the past 7 months and they have got me to the point where I am tired of the phone calls and was about to set up arrangements with them to pay just so they would stop calling me. I have always thought that there was something strange with them but when I saw this information it confirmed it for me. I have also been getting calls from the afor mentioned numbers and also from a local number 910 816 4540. But from now on I'm just going to continue to pray about it and just wait and see what happens I guess. Received 2 calls today (11:30 and 11:38am), also called my mother in-law 2 times in that same time period! Same kind of calls as stated by the others. An Agent Pearson from PSA Investigations calling about a pay day loan that needs my immediate attention, but calling from a different number 201-603-3680. Claiming to be based out of Georgia, but my lawyer found a company by the same name that was out of Kissimee, FL that was shut down. Definately a Skam!

I received a text message today reading "To avoid psa investigations contacting your employer today, to verify employment and inform your supervisor of a financial law suit that has been filed. To prevent a wage attachment for the full balance, court fees, and processing fees. You must contact agent taylor at 415-675-1873 immediately."  This isn't even my debt..I believe it's a very old debt of my husbands.  I have received numerous calls from them before and the lady would state they are going to sue my husband.  She tried to get me to give her my husband's social security number. What should I do?

They are also using the number 404-343-9681 and 415-675-1873.  Also using the name of field agent Taylor.  They have been calling me for days and yesterday even starting texting my cell phone. PSA Investigations can go to hell.

678-534-3221 is a number that PSA uses. They use different "agent" names when they place a call to you. This is not the only number that they are calling from they also use 415-675-1873. The agent's name is always the same but one time it may be a woman and the next time it may be a male. The message is always the same that they have important legal documentation to serve you. First and foremost they CAN NOT PERSONALLY SERVE YOU WITH ANYTHING. Secondly they are a scavenger debt collector for debts that are 3-5 years old. I have kept notes for 2 years now on the "agent" tonight he tells me that he has never called me. I told him that I had phone records and recordings of the messages that he had left. I also asked him if he knew and understood the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the fact that if he had been told more than twice that the person to whom he was trying to get in touch with did not own the number he was calling that he was in violation. He informed me that he had been doing his job for 5 years. WOW you would think that he would know the Act frontwards and backwards seeing since he is a "legal agent" which is a bunch of BS. In section 804 of the Fair Debt Collection Act it #(3) It clearly states that and debt collector shall not communicate with any such person more than once uless requested to do so by such person or unless the debt collector reasonably believes that the earlier response of such person is erroneous or incomplete and that such person now has correct or complete location information. Don't you think calling the same 3 numbers for 3 years and being told the same information constitutes that your question has been correctly answered. In section 806 A debt collector may not engage in any conduct the natural consequence of which is to harass, oppress or abuse any person in connection with the collection of the debt.  #5 covers PSA like a blanket: Causing a telephone to ring or engaging any person in telephone conversation repeatedly or continuously with intent to annoy, abuse or harrass any person at the called number.  They are in violation of Section 807 because they falsely state that they are "legal agents" They are dropouts that couldnt make it anywhere and are the equal to a telemarketer. They have NO LEGAL paperwork; they CAN NOT THREATEN you with legal paperwork without have the local sheriff's department serve papers. Informing you for 3 years that they have legal paperwork that is vital to your personal character and still nothing has been sent, served or processed is also a violation. Please keep records, keep all names, times that they have called and who they state that they are. Look them up online, report them. As I stated above; these are two of the numbers that they are using and I can assure you that there are more. They will use an exchange or transfer number so that it looks like someone in your local area is calling you. These are all tricks that they use. They are not about to help you---it's about a dime and they triple the amount you would owe if any. Please don't give out any personal information. Don't tell them you know anyone because once you tell them that you may know the person they will start to harrass you!

I received a message from "Jessica Smith" asking that I call her as I'd been listed as a reference for someone with a name very similar to mine. I was concerned that someone was trying to apply for credit using my information, so I called back. "Agent Smith" was a very polite African-American sounding woman. As soon as she realized I wasn't the person she was looking for and didn't know them, she tried to end the call. I asked who they were and she said what sounded like TSA Investigations. I asked if it had anything to do with credit card or loan applications, and she just said it was a sensitive financial matter for the other person. Then we got disconnected or she hung up. I was feeling very worried about the call until I found this website, now I think they just mistook me for the other person. Thanks for sharing your information.

I to recieved two calls from an agent kelly martin and an agent smith. I unknowingly did pay them almost 200 for a debt they recieved in their office. They sent me a confirmation letter of my payment arrangements via email so i assumed they were ligite. I would have givin them a last payment but i then recieved a text messege from an agent taylor which striked me as very unusual. I then asked for an address so i could send them a certified letter stating my terms in order for them to recieve the last payment and i recieved no response. I now know i have been scammed. I know i wont ever see that money again. Im glad i found this sight before any more of my money was taken. Lesson learned.

I received a call from this company, and after talking to them about i loan i allegedly took out in 2008, no one has been able to provide documentation from the original loan.  I've requested it on multiple occasions, but still nothing.  Anyone know how legitimate this company is?
