no response when said hello

I receive the same phone calls every day from morning to night. A few of the numbers in question are 877-263-0041, 888-815-0011, 866-910-0042 & 877-296-0148. Twice now I have asked them to stop calling me, but the calls have continued so I will now complain to the FTC.

I have a program called Ascendis Caller ID.  With it you can automatically drop phone calls.  You just need a computer that stays on and has a modem.  Of course it takes awhile to get them all but if you steadily add the numbers, the calls drop down!  You can fight back!  The calls are dropped automatically and you can even name them.. annoying mortgage dropped! it says on one particular caller!

It seems to be a trend in these types of phone calls. When the answering machine picks up, they hang up. Sorry to burst anyone's bubble, but the "Do Not Call" list does not cover non-profit organizations (apparently whether they exist or not, or even if legal or not); it says as much on the site when you register. However if you tell them to stop calling, they have to do as you ask. If they continue to do so, then you can complain.

Call everyday and even when answer the phone no one talks. Very annoying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

identified themselves as the Fraternal Order of Police, they call all times of day and night sometimes everyday!

We received a phone call from this number around 11:40 on the 4th of July. The caller said they were trying to raise money for breast cancer.

These are not cops they are crooks.

This number calls my business office repeatedly. It takes several seconds to get someone on the line once we pick up. It is some sort of charity, but despite our efforts to be removed from their database, they keep on calling. Very, very annoying.

Started getting calls on 5/30/2007, two per day. The first call of the day is about 10:30, the second around 5:30. The call I just received was 5:16 pm EDT. Very irritating. I am on the "Do Not Call" list as well.

this phone # 888-815-0011 continues to call at all hours and on any day; and is quite annoying. I have been on the "do not call list" since it was created and now feel that list is a sham and does not work. This is some non-profit police charity, but after much internet research have found them to be reported as a scam.

No comment but I Ignored that phone call from Caller ID 1-888-815-0011.

This number seems to be linked with 888-815-0011, 866-390-6364, and 877-296-0148.  All of these numbers have been quoted by others as being for The Charitable & Non-Profit Fundraising Organization.  Research online leads to the same conclusion.  Some have been able to trace this call to Georgia.
This Mass Computerized Caller Company seems to sell their service to numerous not for profit organizations; from police to alumni, and uses the same list of phone numbers they have obtained regardless of the charitable cause.

We routinely have calls from these numbers from 8am to 8:00pm, and they call from 3-5 times per day.

Just because this is a Non Profit call they still can be prosecuted because they are actually a third party that is obtaining income from these calls.  Please register your complaint with the FTC.

My current phone number has been registered with the Do Not Call Registry for about a year.

Gotten repeated calls from this number, never anyone on the other end of the line.  Various 1-888 calls over the past few weeks all trace back to "Charitable Fundraising Offices", and of course their mailbox is full.

If I ever do get a live person on the other end of the line, they're gonna be really freaking sorry when I go off on 'em.
