it is a prerecorded message asking me to hold until someone comes on the line.

A pre-recorded message that is on my vmail several time a day and every day. I have no idea who it is and I never hold the line to find out. I almost called back out of complete annoyance to ask them to stop calling.

Yeap. Same here. Sometimes have to delete 2-3 VM daily from this company. The only thing the message says is "call 1-888-815-9185" in a very digitalized voice and sometimes the message repeats itself. The times I have answered then they ask me to hold?.. they are nuts!! . I think the most annoying part is having to call my VM only to find out it's these people.. aggrrrrrrrr.

This number is from a company called American Agencies.  They call and leave a digital voicemail on my phone all the time.

No one is on the line.

We receive calls on a regular basis with a pre-recorded message from a company called American Agencies.  They claim they are debt collectors looking for someone who doesn't live here.  I have called the number they provided to explain this on numerous occasions without sucess.  Usually the answering party simply hangs up on me.  I also have been unable to get these calls stopped through their website without success. We are already on all available do not call listings and yet they persist.  Is it their goal to harrass innocent individuals into paying other people's debts?  Apparently, they stole their business model from the government.  That aside, I sure would like to get these to stop and would be delighted to learn of a law firm or government agency sueing or fining them enough money to drive them out of business!

I have received numerous calls from American Agencies trying to reach a "Jason McCue".  They say to call 1-866-827-9625 to have my number removed.  I have done this twice.  I now received yet another call from these morons and tried to email them at "donotcall@americanagencies.com" as they also said to do and cannot seem to get anywhere with that either!  I want these jerks to stop calling my number!!!

American Agencies looking for someone who does not live at my number!!

These people continually call me asking for someone I don't know then tell me not to listen if I am not that person. please tell me how to get rid of them!

Looking over the notes, these people are still at it and using the same message and tactics.

This is a business line and they have called a couple times a day for the last week, so I decided to call back to see what happens.  A man with a thick Indian accent who said they are looking for someone who hasn't worked here in over 3 years!  He said it will take at least 48 hours for the number to be removed.

I have been getting these calls daily off and on. I don't care if I do owe money. If I had it I'd pay it. but without a job i can't. I refuse to answer and I will not call them back. there is no need to harass us.

I am a fragile heart patient, my rest is important. these people call with a recorded message almost every day. I disturbs my rest and is causing me unwarranted grief. I am contacting the district attourney if it does not stop. It cannot be a colletion call since I have no debts.

I've been called five or six times a week, sometimes several times a day, with the useless recorded message.  I called them, got someone right away who did not identify himself (just said hello - I wasn't even sure I had contacted a business).  They asked me if I was some person whom I had never heard of in my life.  It would just be annoying if it weren't for the fact that I use a pre-paid phone, so every time I answered the phone from them cost me money.

We are getting two of these calls a day. They say they are American Agencies but when you look their number up in the yellow pages - it has no information about the number. IF they really are a collection agency they need to be a little more on the up and up. I am getting tired of deleting their messages from my answering machine!!!!!

Yep, the idiots started calling on my unlisted home phone number, sometimes twice a day, with the message to call them back. I called them back the first time today, an endless stream of bad musak. I'm on gov's do not call list, and yet these brazen A-holes don't flinch one bit. Thought the do not call was supposed to shield us from these idiots--guess not.

I've been getting these calls for about two weeks. I'm registered with the Do not call lists. I always pay bills on time and every time. Please stop this insanity.

I would prefer hey say what they want and not just say they are not in sales. Twice a day they call.

They call once a day for a week now.
I called them back and yelled a few choice words to them (3 times in a row).

Called me on my cell phone, I didn't answer it as I did not recognize the number.  Looked the number up in Google and saw that this is another one of those annoying calls that I no longer answer my phone for...

I have a limited amount of minutes and having these idiots harass me with calls will not get them their money any quicker, being that I am not the person who owes them any money!  I tried their customer support number listed on the website but was unable to proceed because I do not owe money nor am I a customer of theirs.  They don't seem to think it even a possibility they could be calling the wrong person!

From this point on I will be answering these calls with an air horn if they call me after seven when I have extra minutes...

These people are also calling my cell just as everyone else has said.

This number is very annoying, they just keep calling.  It's a recording saying it's not a sales call.  I refuse to call the number they leave.  There should be a way to stop this.  I don't believe they are legitimate.

They have called twice a day for two weeks. I am SURE that I don't have any outstanding debts for collecting. How do I get them to stop????? I'm on the "Do Not Call" list. How do I register a complaint? I am calling the BBB as I am typing this. Furious does not describe my level of annoyance. I have home-based business. They are wasting my time.

still getting called by this company  8 to 12 times a week and its getting very old. comes up on caller id as unknown  1-888-815-9185. I've had this phone number for 3 years and I'm also on the no call list and have reported it there also. my husband works nights and with there stupid calls all the time wakes him up. i have no way of contacting this company just want it to stop! I've tried calling the number back but it just cuts off the phone.

I believe these people are perpetrating a crime by calling cell phones. It is not OK to be harassed by people I do not know, about things that do not pertain to me.
