This recording does not ask for anyone when left on my voice mail, this is a daily thing almost and need to call the AG that can help stop this. Number they leave is 888-816-9952

We are a company and do not take to this kind of calls. They do not leave a name just a recording, 6019926620  Please help stop this kind of irrration

My Aunt is in her 80's and don't owe anybody she pays all her bills The person called my Aunt saying she owed $7,000. She taked to a person, Alayna, had her name, phone #, SS# and a relatives name. This person told My Aunt she better send her this money. The call back number is 888-816-9952 and she called Friday, Jan. 27, 2012.

I got a robo-call voice mail from "SRA Associates" looking for (garbled name - it could be my name, could be someone else, who knows?). Also with a short pause saying that by continuing to listen you are verifying that you are (garbled name), and asking to call back at 888-816-9952 and reference xyz case number. I am pretty on top of my credit and had no idea what this could be about. Like previous posters, I haven't received anything written. I pulled my credit reports and there is nothing overdue, in collections or even close, etc. They may do legit collections but this seems like a bs call. If a live person ever calls I will try to make a recording of the conversation, based on what other people have said about them.

Well that message said it all.  You call leave vague messages, dont really say much about who you are.  You want us to give info so you can talk to us.  send me a letter of introduction and state your business.  Then i might beleive you are legit.

Whatever! if that's true they are collectors they would NOT ask you; are these <1,2,3,4> the last four digits of your SS? and then when you ask what the nature of the call is they tell you they can't tell you until you verify YOUR last 4 digits...Then they want to know your zip code...They should have ALL that info in front of them! If they are a legit collection agency they CAN tell you what company it is they represent! Instead they say it's a federal offense for ME not to give them the information they are asking of me...SCREW THEM...Anyway I don't have collection agencies looking for me, I pay my bills.....And oh yeah to get RUDE with me when that stupid A$$ is the one who called me...! No room for this Bull$hit.

Yes.  They are SRA Associates.  They are a debt collector.  They just call me looking for my mom.  They are legit.  When they cant get a hold of who they are looking for, they try extended family.

hey idiot,  your cell phone # is not a brand new number. It was probably Lonnie Horton's # before you... i have an idea... you obviously know the number to the office... so why not try calling it and giving the person that answers the phone your # so that we can remove it... oh and please do it with a nice attitude... because its not our fault your number is on the file...

Some loser that ran up a bill put my cell phone number down and these people are calling me wanting to speak to some lonnie horton guy, and I can't get ahold of them to tell them to stop calling me i am not this person!!!!!

They are not a scam company - it's a debt collector:  A very annoying one, but a debt collector none-the-less.

I recieved a call a from this number and like everyone else, it was SRA.  They were looking for my ex-wife who got herself into a whole lot of trouble.  She had been using me as a reference for credit, unknown to me.  

They were very nice and professional with me and removed my number without a problem.

We recently received a call from SRA Associates with number 888-816-9952. After reading this thread, I called them back and asked them to call my lawyer for the same reason they were calling my landline number. They asked me what they called me about, and I responded that they should know since they called the first time. I also asked them not to call my landline number again as if they did they would be breaking the law. If they call again I will have enough proof to call the police on them. If everyone does this, they will stop calling. They are definitely a SCAM company looking for people to transfer money during a time where a lot of people are in debt. Be careful!

Someone named Adrian Garcia keeps calling for my sister and leaving the above stated message. Today I picked up the phone and this is how the conversations went. " Me: Hello/ Adrian: Hey Gabrielle/ Me: No this is her sister can I help you?/ Adrian Can you tell me when Gabrielle will be available?/ Me: No but I can take a message./Adrian: She is involved in a matter at our office and needs to call me back as soon as possible at 888-816-9952. I then said o.k. and hung up on him. If he calls my phone again, I am calling the Attorney Generals Office on them!!

I received a variation of this robocall on my answering machine saying "There will be a 3 second pause - you need to pick up the phone if you are not Joseph Marshall - if you don't pick up the phone you are confirming you are him." this is followed by essentially what Nancy posts below about a debt and a file number.

I've gotten 2 calls from this "SRA Associates" which does seem to be a legit company out of NJ (but I don't doubt it's not legit at this point, after reading the entries here).  A man named Jeff Maxton leaves a message on my answring machine (which is CLEARLY an answering machine) saying
"I'm calling for Janet Wezner, by not hanging up you are indicating that you are, indeed, Janet Wezner."  They go on to say that there is an "official file" at their office and that it's VERY IMPORTANT that you call them back to settle the matter.  It's a very transparent scheme to bully up some sort of debt, and that it does appear that they just pick a random name, dial a random number and try to scare a few people out of a few bucks.  The actual number that appears on my caller ID is 856-925-2255, but the ID reads "OUT OF AREA".  More sh*t from stupid people trying to figure out creative ways to steal.  I sure wish there were a way to get these guys to go to jail for this.

I've gotten over 100 calls from 800-837-2458 and they say call them back on
888-816-9952. They are a collection agency called, "PELLETTIERI ASSOCIATES."
They ask for someone you never heard of just to verify through your caller id that it's you they want. They wait for you to call back to jump on you.
They are playing a trick on you just to get you to call back then screw with you over some "so-called" debt you owe. It's a scam operation. Watch out for these guys........

I got this same call. Stating that I owe 146 dollars to Bank of America. I told them I will deal with Bank of America directly. They also said that they are b***s***, but in a better form.

I've been getting harrasing call from 888 816 9952 demanding that i send them 260 dollars for a passed due Bank of America credit card balance. They said I needed to send them the money Western Union and I said I will go to a Branch and pay it. they procedded to talk down to me. I paid the balance at the B of A location and called them back and they said they said they will send my my account to collections. Bank of America said they are bulshit.

Yep. I have been recieving these harrassing voicemails from a "RACHEL MARSHALL" from the same number. She is very confrontational, and won't discuss the reason for her call. She just speaks in these vague pseudo-legal terms. Miserable bi***.

Got a call from a guy saying that my file was turned over to him and that it was important that I call him back. I *69'd the number that came up on caller ID and it came up as a jewelry distributor. It is probably either a bill collector or a scam. They can continue to call my office, but being that I am the only one that works in the office, I can screen my calls, and so I do not have to answer if I choose not to do so. If it is really important then they will do their best to search for my new home number. I just recently moved so it will be a hard thing to do being that I do not have a phone as of yet. HAHA to them
