Was the other phone number 484 485 7790? If it was, they are the same people out of Pennsylvania. Tell them if they keep calling you, you will be pressing charges for harassment.

These people scammed us out of $1250. They were willing to refund us $950 and we were going to take it until they said we had to send $273 to cancel our loan. Bunch of scammers!!! They also claim that they are calling from India. I don't believe that one bit. How can you call using a landline phone number in California from India? I believe that these people are running it from someone's house who belongs to this company. Next time they call you, tell them "you Arabs can suck camel's dicks". We got a call to cancel the loan, and they said that we Americans are (things I cannot say on the internet). They also threatened my wife with bodily harm. Called her a w***e and a s**t and told her that if she paid her bills on time, that we would not need the loan. We always pay our bills on time. We have a special needs child and need medicine for her. They would not even accept that as an excuse to get our refund quickly. Still wanted us to send money. I told them they are running a scam operation. You never pay any company to get a refund back. We told them that we were going to report them to law enforcement. They stated that our law enforcement are stupid and we would never get them. Oh, we will get them. Throw their a***s in jail. This place is not a legitimate office building. It is a house that someone is running this scam out of. If you get a call from this number, ignore it. If you dont have caller ID on your home or cell phone, if you answer tell them no thank you and just hang up.

It is a scam perpetrated by a fraudulent law firm/debt collector (they have claimed to be both) in FL. They call from a number that answers as Thomas Brown and Associates, but direct you to call a host of other numbers.  I understand from reading about them, that they are not certified to collect debts in any state - I doubt they are a law firm either. Several different people have answered or left messages using the same two (fake) names. They never actually say you owe them money, but threaten legal action to the "full extent of the law", or reference papers you need to sign.  A search of the other numbers they have called me from shows that other people have been conned into sending them money they did not owe - thinking wrongly that they were paying off a payday loan.  I contacted the FTC about them a month ago, and now they are calling from new numbers.  Report them all they numbers they call from and the ones they refer you to - keep your case number and keep reporting them.  

First, register on the National "Do not call" database: https://www.donotcall.gov/register/reg.aspx
After 30 days, contact the registry again and file a complaint.  If they leave a message at all on your voice mail, you can report them without waiting 30 days.

Also, file a complaint with the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/.  Give them dates and times and transcribe the messages.  They may ask that you contact the people to tell them to stop harassing you, but in my experience they will just hang-up on you when they realize you aren't going to eagerly send them money.  They also wanted another number that they could contact me at - as if.

I got this phone today.  The number was something else, but this is the number I was supposed to return.  Obviously a scam.

Received a voice message saying that if I don't call this # then I have chosen not to settle "this" voluntarily.  No clue about what "this" is/was.  I called back, and a lady answered "Processing".  I gave her my # (which was issued to me by my employer 2 years ago), and she said she needed to speak to either Lilly or Shaniqua.  I explained that I am neither of those people and do not know either of those people.  She said "ok" and hung up on me after I asked who she was.

I just received the same call at my job. Some lady threatening me. She says they are going to come to my job or home between 1-6 today. If so, I will be waiting on them. The police will be called. I do not owe anything to these people.

This is a collection agency with a horrible approach to collections.  I did call back and started the discussion like this must be some sort of mistake and the lady was very polite and WAS looking for someone else.  Treat the poor SOB who has to do this rotten job politely, and they sometimes are capable of returning the favor!  I'll bet most of the callers who have to read that rude script wishes s/he had a better job!!!

A real low-life collection agency that tries to intimidate folks with illegal strong arm tactics.  The company name is First National Collection Bureau, Inc. registered in Nevada their contact number is 775-322-0444 the Reno BBB has a couple of hundred complaints and a BBB rating of F.  They also operate under several different alisis from other locations accross the country.  Best to not answer their calls, they will only increase the calls to try to pressure you to pay their ransom.

Figured out what it is. It may not be you at all, but someone who has your last name. They look it up and it automatically calls out anyone associated with that last name. It is rude and invasive. They called my sister in law and I called them back, gave phone number, info and they told me they were looking for 2 other people (that I do not know at all) and appologize. Now my family is calling me asking if everything is ok with me. Very inbarrasing and they probably don't believe I'm alright. Lame.

Just got a call from these dirtbags.  When I tried calling back it was the desk of a Ms Martinez and just got voicemail.

Someone wrote above that they identified them as Thomas Brown & Assoc.

I also have been receiving calls saying that they will have no choice but to "take action".  Who knows what that is.  I have debt; I have debtors, but I know who they all are, and they don't contact me with enigmatic messages that do not identify themselves - or the matter they are calling about.  They are one in a number of annoying calls I have gotten lately.  It start when I inquired about an accreditation program for court reporters; they took my number, and called me back.  After they continued calling me and the creep started to try to flirt with me to keep me from cutting his sell short, I was rude and told them they were harassing me.  The next day I was on everyone's unethical call list, including a spanish only (just as mysterious) message that connects to a furniture store in LA.

Just got the same message as others.  Not the first time either.
The first time, I was dumb enough to call it back.  Not me they were looking for, but then tried to say that they were sure I owed as well.
I want to know who is giving out my number if this this tied to PDL as I have never done one in my life.

Same thing.  Just got an "urgent" phone call from this number about some papers I "haven't signed".  They called me last week as well.   Not sure what the story is, but I have android app that allows me to blacklist numbers, so I went ahead and added them to my blacklist.

This call came in just seconds after I blocked a call from 924-517-1855 and one from 223-551-2415 -- both of which were not valid area codes.  What is this nonsense?  Why do we have to put up with these scams?  I am just plain angry now.

I am glad I read this it makes me feel so much better these people have started calling people in my family I have a stepdad I am not even related to him and they have started calling his family I am so upset about them calling other people they have no right.

i have been getting calls from this # for over a year.  Now they just call every 2 minutes for 20 minutes 2 times a day and it is a fax machine beep.  So terrible to deal with.  Scam do not call back and give them any info.

Got a call from this number asking for Michael Brown.  No such person at my number.  I always check 880notes when I get strange calls and the #'s are usuallly here.

yeah I took out a PDL long time ago, and I heard that they will continue to use your name claiming you owe for PDL... I had a phone call from this number about 2 weeks ago, and this is how stupid this lady is... I answered and first thing she says is if I received the documents? I said what documents? She continues to say I owe for a PDL and I said who is the PDL company? First she says ABC PDL and I said sorry don't have any loan with them, then she proceeds to say that I will go to court etc... And I should take care of this PDL with Cash Net and I said Oh I thought you said it was ABC PDL and she says well you tell me... I am like lady you called me and I don't have any PDL's with either companies so stop calling me and do what you think you have to do... She said she was going to get me for hot check... I said go for it! Hadn't heard from her till today and she asked for me and I said sorry got the wrong number, and she says well you don't know how I can get a hold of her? I said nope you have wrong number... Damn idiots!!

Just received a call from this number 888 818 4654 trying to collect a debt... Its funny because I have NO debt out... I told the guy to pay it his damn self... Because he wasn't getting a dime from me and hung up saying "have a great day sir BYE" LoL.

They have been calling my phone for weeks. I don't answer. I pay all my bills and i know for a fact that it is all because I took out at PDL a long time ago. I paid it back.  And then some with the interest that they charge you..I found out about these scams.. they just keep selling your name... I answer the phone law office. and they say who is this... and I say LAW OFFICE can I help you? They usually hang up.. Scammers!  Sick of them  She called today and I said you have the wrong number... and she called back 4 times. I would answer and hang up. finally she left a message... Come and get me I have no debt and I have no money for you sista!

I have had several messages from this number and this is what they leave a as a message  "We have tried several times to reach you regarding paperwork you need to sign.  Please call our toll free number at 888 818-4465 before close of business today.  If we do not hear from you, we will assume you have no intentions of taking care of this voluntarily and we will move forward accordingly.  You have been notified."  Who the heck are these people.  I am not going to call if they do not tell me who they are.

I have been getting calls from this number for a few weeks now with same recording, if they don't hear from me by end of business day they will move accordingly. I am very anal about not answering calls to numbers I don't recognize, and it's getting pretty silly because as I said it's been weeks, I've never returned their calls, and they have yet to move accordingly. Must be they like me enough to give me another chance everyday! Lucky me!  
Seriously though, do scam artists have a brain in their head? You can't keep making the same threat every time you call. Something tells me it's a bunch of sweaty stinky crack daddy's sitting in a motel room somewhere that they rent by the month, making calls and trying to make money by scaring people. What a world we live in. Their Momma's should be oh so proud.
