I worked for this company. They also went by the name Prestige Resort Exchange, Tradewinds Resort Group and Resort Realty Intl. I was completely unaware of and unethical practices until the company went under and became the subject of an investigation for mail fraud. The company was a total scam and I feel so bad for those who fell prey to it. To those of you who lost money to these people, I suggest you look at your legal options and call a lawyer. I for one intend to for my own reasons.

yeah, I just bet you had the success you mentioned....dare to prove it by revealing your true identity?! Of course my posts have malice in them....they took an enormous amount of money from us and then disappeared. Two of the phone numbers we have always go to voice mail....never get any replies, or else the mail box is full for the third number...and never emptied as it's been full for 2 weeks now or the best one yet...the fourth number for this company...the one listed on the Merchant Circle...is now answered by a company called Fox Chevrolet...isn't that a hoot.
And don't get me started on the phony"reviews" listed on the Merchant Circle..I have posted on there 4 times now and my reviews are always removed.

well if you are a real person with a timeshare that was actually rented or sold by this rip off company then I would love for you to give me your real name or send me a copy of your bill of sale to back up your words...more than likely you are the insider....one of the rip off artists who work for Emrald Resort Group and is trying to buy more time to rip off more unsuspecting innocent people.

Amazing that you were able to find a website for them...after my husband was conned into giving them money I looked and looked and it was about 2 months before I found anything about them...and since they received our money I have never seen our property listed on their site. As a matter of fact, nothing on their site has ever changed in the last 3 months and they have never answered my requests to contact me that I have sent them through that site. I have called 4 different numbers and sent emails through that site and through the email address we have from one correspondance and still no replies from them.....TOTAL BULLS**T IS ALL THEY ARE.

WELL I HAVE DONE BUSINESS WITH THEM SO I KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT !!! They are total frauds! As much as I want to sell my timeshare I have turned down every offer to sell that I received but somehow they got my husbands cell number and he was totally conned into sending them money without talking to me first...the call goes like this...I have someone sitting here who wants to buy your property, they've put a deposit down...yadda yadda...then it goes....but first let me ask you a few questions....where is your property located?!!!!!!!!!! If they were legitimate they would already know where it was cuz the invisible buyer wouldn't be buying it without knowing where it was. DUH. Yes, my husband was foolish but it proves that they are con-men behind the name.
And if you were so interested in keeping up with this site I'm sure there would be a few more replies posted....I don't think you are a real person either..probably one of the con-men trying to make this fraudulent company look better.

although the phone numbers ( 4 in all) that I have for Emrald Resort Group are not the same as the one listed above it is definitely the same group. Unfortunately for us my husband got a call from them and was sucked into sending them an enormous amount of money which was followed up by several phone calls for about 6 weeks and then nothing. Now after almost of 3 weeks calling all 4 numbers and sending emails and receiving no calls back he realizes that he was scammed.
One of the phone numbers ( which is listed on the Merchant Circle)...is now answered by a business called Fox Chevrolet of Laurel. The other 3 numbers go directly to an answering service and are never responded to.
I highly doubt that any propertys were ever sold by this company...it is nothing but a front for heartless, cheating low life scum who take advantage of people trying to better their own lives.

So does this company operate out of West Virginia?
What website do they use or how do they advertise the timeshares?
Is there a broker that handles the transactions and what closing company do they generally use?
I have a property in Texas I have been wanting to sell..
These posts are very sad.

It seems to me that the only people posting negative things on here are people, by their own admission, that have never actually done business with this company. Which is pretty funny. If you couldn't get the price you wanted or didn't understand the process that was involved then that does not, by any means, make a company a scam. It actually reflects badly on the person posting negative things, because it clearly shows that you're a child who throws fits when you didn't get exactly what you wanted. Now, I should point out that I do not own a timeshare, and I do not work or get paid to post anything on here. I know that there will be some know it all that replies to this and says... " Well you're a fraud for posting this'. Or... " You're an insider". The fact is neither of those are true. I am simply someone with an awful lot of time on their hands and love to keep up with this site.

Emrald Resort Group is a great company . I bet this insider writing these posts is a competitor whose ripping people off. I have a timeshare and I know what's right and wrong! Emrald was very helpful in renting and the sale of my property! This industry is full of these so called 'insiders" and it is sad that they stoop to these levels!

The time share resellers are not legitimate (Emrald) when:
1) Not listed with Realtors of the state in which they do business (don't listen to their con artist lies about why they don't need it)
2) No one in the community they operate in knows anything about them (call the local chamber of the community they give you for their home business address)
3) The use fake reviews from non-existent people (google the reviewers, you can't find them)
4) They won't give you anything in writing until they have money from you
5) They want you to agree to everything on the phone
6) They won't give you guarantees for nonperformance in writing
7) They want you to sign their "marketing agreement" before they can give you any information
8) They are not part of their local chamber
9) No one in the real estate community where they claim to be operating knows who they are
10) They have an offer you for you with a down payment already in hand.

I was also contacted by this company. The gentleman seemed very nice and answered all my questions. He did tell me to check out their website, which I did, and it looked OK. They didn't ask me for any money, or even any personal information. Have you done business with them, as far selling or buying a timeshare?

Be very careful if you receive calls from this number. They purport to be a legitimate timeshare reseller named "Emrald Resort Group." As far as I can tell, they have do not have any of the informational services you would expect from a business in this day and age; they have no website, an unregistered telephone number, and generally provide no information by which you can vet their claims of legitimacy.

The lone reference I've found to a company by that name is at MerchantCircle: http://www.merchantcircle.com/business/Emrald ... -3899/promotion. I would caution against believing any of the reviews because the nature of MerchantCircle allows companies like Emrald Resort Group to create a page for their business and populate it with fake reviews. Of course, should the name of their business be linked with questionable behavior, they can always remove the place page at MerchantCircle. (Note: this is not a post condemning MerchantCircle. Rather I'm just illustrating how their services can be used to take advantage of consumers by companies like Emrald Resort Group.)
