Anyone know who this guy works for?  Trying to find out what debt they say I owe, but they won't tell me.

I was so upset by this guy that I reported him and his company to the FTC for being abusive and arrogant and using bad collection tactics.  https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/

This guy "Dan" is a real piece of work.  I told him to give me my account number and he got really snarky with me.  He was rude and arrogant.  I will be sending him a drop dead letter because under the Fair Credit Reporting Act we are allowed to dispute these alleged debts.  Warning though this guy plays hardball so you better know your rights because he uses every tactic in the book including lying about being the 'manager'.

I also just received a call from this number.  The person was asking for someone who I do not know, and then argued with me for about 2-3 minutes before I just hung up.  He was incredibly rude, told me that I "didn't need to know" who he was, and then was sarcastic.

This is actually a collector. You can send them a cease and desist letter to stop bothering you and your family and friends and they have to by law. They called me too and left this 888-826-6052 number but my caller ID registered another number that was 952-944-1620. This is who they are:

You can even fax them the letter, you don't have to mail it. Or you can do both, but I strongly suggest anytime you mail out a cease and desist letter, you do it certified so you have actual verification that they received it.

I, too, received a phone call from some "creepy sounding guy with a really deep voice". He did not verify his name or where he was calling from, either, but said to call 888-826-6052 back immediately and that was a "very serious situation". If you're not going to tell me who you are and where you're calling from, what makes you think I'm going to return your call?
