These people are the lowest of the low. Call themselves a law firm. The employer would have been better off going to NYC and hiring homeless people. They are not educated nor have any professionalizm. They harrass people for their bank accounts or credit card numbers to scam you. Don't let anything that they say scare you. Instead contact your local police and a lawyer. It's harrassment and it is against the law. Might as well get money out of the deal for the harrasment. Let them keep calling me. My lawyer said that's an easy $2-3,000 lawsuit! They are just plain idiots. All 18 of them in that so called business don't equal one brain. Pathetic and sad!

Prank Call
Every person from this place is so very unprofessional. Claiming to be a law firm. Then they called me over and over again saying nothing. They now have called me 22 times from a 716-462-5930 and a blocked number in the past hour. This is harrassment and I am in contact with my lawyer. Best part I can sue them for calling  and harrassing me!!!! Funny part, when I called back to report the harrassment to upper management. HAHAHAHA Tom (the owner) told me that he was going to file a complaint against me for harrasing his employees. DO NOT DO ANYTHING OR GIVE THIS COMPANY ANYTHING!!!!!! SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM!!

You're right, David, the debt should be paid.  However, their strong arm tactics and threatening phone calls to family members are unacceptable.  Threats of jail time, warrants & arrests will scare the crap out of the most honest of people and it is not right!  I believe that's why there are laws prohibiting this kind of action, but these folks aren't providing accurate information to get reported...small wonder!

a man called me today named ryan mueller explained to my husband that they were showing up at my house and that i needed to be there i was being served a warrant for fraud when my husband told them that i was at work and assured them that i dont know anything in regards to this he gave him the number of 1888-848-4127 to call and speak to them before five pm. upon calling they explained to me i took out a personnel loan online thru national city bank in 2008 and was being charged with fraud due to non payment. i did have an account years ago with national city however never took any online personnel loan out and knew nothing about it. they then asked me if anyone had lived with me at that time that had access to my social security number, which i told him yes my ex did and he told me that was probably it and as long as i paid two payments reaching almost 600 dollars in a month that they would not press charges. knowing that my ex could have done this me just being scared because i didnt want to be charged with fraud or have them come and get me with a warrent having two children at home with me set up the payment arrangments. upon talking to my ex shortly afterward being very upset thinking he did this even though i did not have a national city account at that time so i didnt understand how this could happen. upon investigating more and calling back to verify who they were again and when this happened i was hung up on twice and then when calling back the third time this man claimed to be a supervisor told me i could give him his information or hang up i told him i just wanted to see if they dealt with national city he told me no then when i further questioned him on then why would this number call me stating the above he told me he wasnt playing phone games with me and that we are adults and to stop disrupting his floor and that they would take my payment off and just pursue going to court. i had to cancel my debit card as well as i called national city which is now pnc bank and further investigate which they had no loan that was taken out. when the collections dept. from pnc bank called this number to tell them i had no loan they told him that he was a scam artist and they were still pursuing me and would see me in court! i really hope this is a scam i for one am a worrier and have no idea what they are talking about and do not understand

I got the exact same call.  From a "Tom" from LLS and stating that I'm going to be served court papers and could go to jail.  He never told me what it's about but I do believe it's that payday loan scam.  I received harrassing calls last year and I told them to come on over.  I was home all day and of course no one showed up.  They can't arrest you or take you to court.  They're just trying to get money out of you.

This is a collection Agency who uses strong arm tatics to collect debts. The main company they collect from is ace cash express. They will call everyone you put on your application. They threathing legal action they will even say they are from the county you live in. Just tell them to f*** off....They have no power. The only way they can collect is to take you to small claims court. They will say you are guilt of Check fraud etc, just a scare tatic.

I get calls every few days or so from numbers like this. Today it was an unknown number. He said his name was Tom Cole and it was in regards to my court appearance. He needed to serve me some papers at either my home or place of employement and if I did not return the call, he would contact my supervisor to have them bare witness to the signature. My case number is blah blah blah and to call the  888 number within 24 hours.

They've given me probably 17 "24 hour" notices. If you've ever taken a payday loan out online, this is most likely how you are getting contacted. Whether you owe it or not, it's just a low-income third party agency attempting to collect money in the sleeziest fashion they know how. I do not worry about these calls. If you're able to block the numbers, go ahead. In this day and age, if you are going to be served for a debt or court, it will be done the proper way, not by empty threats from unknown numbers. Take a breathe, it's not big deal

Yes they are from niagara national arbitration and they are saying they have legal documents for you to sign and that they will be coming to your house that day. Then they will call you the next day and say that they were unable to locate you at your house and that they will be coming to your work. They would not give me the company name when they would call me but when I *67 (block my number) and call them they would answer with the company name and then they even called me back and said that it was illegal to block my number and to make prank phone calls! I just tell them that I will see them later.

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, is warning consumers to be on the alert for scam artists posing as debt collectors. It may be hard to tell the difference between a legitimate debt collector and a fake one. Sometimes a fake collector may even have some of your personal information, like a bank account number. A caller may be a fake debt collector if he:

is seeking payment on a debt for a loan you do not recognize;
refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number;
asks you for personal financial or sensitive information; or
exerts high pressure to try to scare you into paying, such as threatening to have you arrested or to report you to a law enforcement agency.

If you think that a caller may be a fake debt collector:
Ask the caller for his name, company, street address, and telephone number. Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." The notice must include the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor you owe, and your rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, do not pay! Paying a fake debt collector will not always make them go away. They may make up another debt to try to get more money from you.

Stop speaking with the caller. If you have the caller's address, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.

Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft ? charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.

Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate ? but you think the collector may not be ? contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.

Report the call. Contact the FTC and your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA. Your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights under your state's law.>

I cursed him- he cursed me back... As far as I am concerned- these folks don't exist in my world... He was threatening all types of legal action so I let him know that I am NOT scared or concerned... People in a position to do something normally do- NOT THREATEN! The funny this is at first he called me from a PRIVATE # then,(302) 998-7139 and then from (302) 988-7139... I confronted him about the different numbers- he said he was probably with a buddy when he placed call... I'm thinking, COMPUTER PHONE! If they want money and in a position to get it- c'mon with it!
