This number has called incessantly for over a week.  I tried to return the call, but when put on hold, I hung up.  I suspect it is for an energy bill I am paying monthly, but  I guess that isn't good enough for them.  The energy company to which I still owe $550 (it was $800 the last month and $750 the month before) seems to be twice as high as the new energy company.  When I realized this situation could not continue, I registered with a new company and received calls and more calls from the old one, wondering why i had cancelled their services.  I always paid the bill, but self employment does not guarantee a steady paycheque, which I explained over and over again, so it took 1 1/2 months at times, to pay it.  Now I am just paying what I can and still this (must be) collection agency calls.  

Called our business, but the line was silent.

Keep getting calls from this number early in the mornings looking for a ex-roommate, told them "please to remove my number because the person they are looking for did not live here and I do not have a forwarding information for them", she told me I was yelling and swearing at her and she hung up.....

I keep getting calls from this number and they keep saying the wrong name! They're trying to call the person the used to have my phone number. What do I do??!!?!

Phone rings we answer no one on the other end. Calls come 5 to 6 times a day.

Any suggestions on how to get them to believe they have the wrong person? I have tried and tried to tell them I am not that person. I get calls from many collections agents for the same person. I have been returning all of their calls and explaining they have the wrong number but they just keep calling and calling. I was hoping to not have to change my number.

Wow, thanks for the information.  I have been racking my brain trying to figure out what I.C.E. stands for.  They call me constantly!  I have no idea why.  Now they are calling my relatives!  What slime.

I don't bother answering, because the debt will be written off sooner or later, usually within 5 yrs.

I recieved a call from the same number today. @ (1-888-850-1511 The conversation had no introduction, and had started out quite rude. I clicked my monitoring recorder on and began to talk a little more. I requested a name, a call back number, anything at all,  and did my best to understand the nature of this call. I informed the party in which addresses themselves as"I.C.E" that in fact this call was being monitored, I was then asked to fax a certain deceased document@ 1866-884-0002, and then they rudely hung up. I had made several attempts phoning them to gather more info but,  was denied. Now if this ignorant I.C.E. operator may now have a oppertunity to glance and read this message???? G.R.O.W. the @.#.%.@.. up and respect the public you are having any realations with or addressing any concerns....in english you really dont want me to correct my spelling on how  @.#.%.@ ing rude. you are...like I said GROW up and do your job right if you really have one and not just out there probing on the phone trying to place terror in someones life, victumizing and bending then over to  @.#.%.@ them for your personal gain ...another scam trying to have a tea party ......SHAME ON YOU

I received the call same as other people. Did not leave a proper message and an automated recording keep on saying call back 1-888-850-1511 and that is the same you calling me. Why don't you just say what happened. Why I have to call the same number from the number calling from ? It's rediculous. Blocked the number from the phone.

Just moved and got a new number. Immediately started getting several calls a day from 1-888-850-1511 stating they were trying to get a hold of who I assume had the number before me. Called the number back numerous times and told them they had the wrong number and to remove it from their database. They keep saying its going to be done, but I still keep getting calls.

I am not the person calling u its a computer generated call.  Just pick up the phone and get a fax # from the person - if they answer - hang up the phone and fax a letter to the company indicating you would like no further calls - if the # calls u again (given a couple of business days) you can threaten to sue the company and probably win a case on it-  record record record

Dispute the bill - if you were renting, then the bill should have been in the owner's name, not yours.  Tell them who the owner is.

Enbridge Gas I have not heard so much rudeness & to hang up on me. I was renting a room in a home the owner put the gas bill in my name. The house has since been sold by the owner & generally a lien is put on the house so the bill gets paid. So I don't know if there double dipping or what?

They just called, I pressed #1 to stay on the line & they hung up.

This is about the third time this number has called. The first two times I didn't answer as i didn't recognize the number. Don't know who it it ans why they are calling, but getting pretty upset at the fact that someone hasn't done anything about it as of yet.  Appears to me that I'm not the only one getting these calls.

I think he means a job that actually benefits society. One that is productive and has a sense of achievement. They pay a premium for the debts they try to collect. I say screw them. They'll eventually sell it off for less than they paid for it. Eventually it will get sold so many times that the calls will be very infrequent. 50 cent effort for a 50 cent debt.

I became so fed up with their antics I filed a complaint with the NS and ONT provincial consumer offices. Within the required three weeks I received an suitable answer from the provincial offices. So far I have been holding my breath for a month and no phone calls. Hopefully this is a permanent improvement.

not sure why you would be so upset at them personally. sounds like you have bad debt and want to put others down for your own mistakes. own up to it and resolve the debt and the calls will stop. by the way, what would you suggest they find a job elsewhere, they already have on.

there are rules governing when they can call depending on the provice you live in. many in canada are from 7am to 10pm others are from 8am to 9pm. bottom line is if you pay your bills the calls will stop.

This number called my cell and left same recorded msg about an escalated matter.. i called them back to tell them they had wrong number and when i was asked what right number to reach my husband at i told them i dont give his number out.. they told me to give him the number and have him call... than they abrubtly hung up... SCAM
