My son got same call, and they acted the same way with him.  I offered to pay this for him, to get them to stop calling, so I called and told them that I was calling to satisfy his debt, but I would only pay them by cashiers check or money order, they refused the payment saying that they only accept payment electronicly.  then they got nasty with me. I asked to speak with a supervisor, which they also refused by telling me that they were the supervisor.  Theonly info that they would give was the name of the company, "Global" and that they werelocated in California.  I called my local Better Business Bureau, gave them the name of the agency, the 888 number and that they said they were located in California.  I was advised to askfor written verification of the debt, which they have 30 days to provide by law, and to go to www.ftc.gov and read the Fair Debt Collections Act, also to file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission.
The BBB rep. said that thhere are several scam artist out therepraying on those who have defaulted on loans with check cashing companies.
I hope this helps.

This is a debt collector. They said they have documents to serve me with after defaulting on a payday loan almost 2 years ago. They refuse to give any information about their company, and when calling their 800 # they are judgmental and rude. I receive daily calls from their "locator" in the field, as do both of my parents in different states. When these daily calls occur, the number on the caller ID appears as if it's from my local area code (as do the calls to my parents) but when those numbers are dialed, they are invalid numbers.

This company says it just needs an address. I refuse, of course, based on their refusal to tell me where to send a check. (I want an address so I can go to the police and file a harassment charge.)
