Called late at night ... Ignored it ... Looking at all the previous reports, I did the right thing!

They're still at it.  I just received another call from this number, -didn't answer.  Thanks for the posts

iI dont care if legitimate or not. quit calling me. quit calling everyone. the govt should fine these spammers a buck for every unsolicit call they make. two bucks for calling at dinnertime

This appears to be a legitimate Canadian company who represent a variety of non profit organizations for fundraising purposes.

yup neighbor and I both got called saying they were from the Humane society.  told them Id call back, but they hung up. Gonna report to our HS to put a news blitz on tv. Lot of senior will get sucked in

Calls and calls and calls even though number is blocked. Never given anything to this organization. Must be on a sucker list

This outfit was calling repeatedly every day back in May of 2013 with no messages ever left. After call-blocking them, they finally gave up. As time goes by, you run out of space in your call block list so I had to remove their number late last year thanks to all the other 800, 866 and 877 toll free spammers out there. Sure enough, today they started up again so back they went onto my call-block list. No idea who they are. How about identifying yourself if you're legit?

Assuming the Causeworx comment is accurate; they called this evening and when I answered they asked by name and said they were calling from the Toronto Humane Society. As I've donated before to THS, I told them I don't give information over the phone, but usually donate to them around Christmas, and will donate to them directly - no need to call back. The man tried to offer to call back at another time, but I told him it's not necessary; we'll see if it happens. If they DO call back, THS may not get their donation this year :P

Nice to actually have a somewhat legit company calling from an 888 number for a change though.

Get repeated calls. They do not leave any voice message.

they are scammers, they ask for credit card over the phone, they claimed they are from humane society, the person who says that the company is legit is one of them, don't trust all the as****les!

Got called by this number several time, never picked up, never a message......but did get a grating noise on the message machine a couple of times after our message played...very annoying.

This company is legit.  And Sick Kids DOES in fact partner with them to do their telephone fundraising. I called their donor services department after receiving a call from them and it was confirmed.

The company name is Causeworx and they are legitimate.  They called me on behalf of the Toronto Humane Society- I know one of the directors there and they confirmed this. Put my mind at ease!

I'm getting completely fed up with the constant barrage of calls from this number and others like it.
I think the public has a right to some type of privacy with respect to phone calls.  It's time either the
CRTC or telephone service providers took steps to stop this - and not at the receiver's expense.

Received this message at 12:00 PM exactly. Left no messages, very perculiar number.

Believe it or not, just got a call a few minutes ago, at 4 AM in the MORNING. I have blocked this number so it cuts off after one ring....no Idea who they are....scammers for sure.

I do donate to Sick Kids as my daughter is invovled in many clinics down there, however, they do not solicate through telemarketers. Go to the Sick Kids website, there are warnings about facke calls. NEVER give any information over the phone, and Sick Kids would never ask for it over the phone.

Same as Allison, it is asking for more $ for sick kids. After the phone I realize that I should ask why they didn't send me receipt for the donation that they promised. Not happy.

They called me thankin me for my donation to sick kids, ans was asking for more $ .. he sounded like he was driving. :s

Keep getting phoned by this number. Haven't picked it up once. I'm also on the DNCL and its apparently not helping.

Been getting calls to my cell for a while. Today they called 2x. Never leave a msg. I have googled this "COSU Alert" you guys mentioned, but there is nothing.

I get a call from this number almost every day but I never pick up. Today, one of the creeps on the other end actually left me a voicemail - of them breathing heavily into the phone. These people are do***ebags, plain and simple.

Called my cell. No message left. Tired of my cell ph getting swamped by spam calls.

Called - said was from Union Gospel Mission. Almost gave my cc info for a monthly donation then realized how silly that was over the phone.I said I would do it online and he said "but then I dont get any credit for it" . I asked to be mailed a form so we\ll see what happens from there.
