I receive these calls all day long stating they are from a debit collector. I don't owe anybody nor have past due bills. This is harassment. Why can't they be stopped!

More research because this has to stop.  ACB is the name of the parent company, but they hire people all across the country to make and take calls, as well as have a call center.  That means some people may be working from their own independent businesses (and homes). That definitely was not the name I received when I called them,and the only call back number they gave was the one they were calling from.  Interesting how they change things, isn't it?

They claim to be a collection agency, but like others here, we don't have any outstanding debts, medical bills, etc.  But with some research, this is what I found.  The call is answered by a machine, saying it is APB Recovery and then a woman's voice identifies herself and asks you to call later or leave your name and number.  In searching for APB Recovery, I found two businesses in the same location (Panama City FL) using that name.  One is for the recovery of metals and the other is reportedly a repossessing service.  If you search that name, you'll get the address and non-800 number.

I have repeatedly recieved call from 888 861 6828 trying to collect a medical bill. I do not have any outstanding bills. Please advise me  how to get these calls stopped.

I don't owe any medical bills so I have never called them back because I am afraid of some kind of scam where they wil run up my phone bill or something. Has this happened to anyone. else.

My bills are all paid.  I think they are looking for a family member who does not or ever has lived with me.

This number is a collection agency, they've called repeatedly, first for someone we don't even know, and secondly for my husband about a debt that was non-existent and the fault of the business.
