Today I received a call from 888-300-5799, saying my name had been drawn for a 25,000 shopping spree. Same spiel as on this thread. I didn't get "Brooklyn", I was contacted by "Mandy".

I just received a call from 880-332-3000 saying their from Microsoft technical support and my computer is infected Yadi yada yada!, I laughed and hung up! If only they worked this hard at an honest job they just might be successful in life! Nice try Johnny from India, you're not getting my info today!!

Received 2nd call from 888-300-5799 saying my name had been drawn for $25,000 shopping spree.  Gave the name "Abby" and a different call back number. (Left message on answering machine)  I enter sweepstakes as a hobby and have won before.  However, this caller did not use my name nor the name of the company sponsoring the sweepstakes. I didn't bother to call back.   Fraud, big time!

Exact same thing for me as all of the above posts. God I hate these people -_-

Same message from Brooklyn on 8/21, same gimmick! Wow they must have a lot of money to just give away if everyone wins 25K.

"Brooklyn" at the "Verification Center," possibly trolling for personal info for nefarious purposes, but more likely trying to sell a membership somewhere (travel club, buyer's club, timeshare or the like).

Got this call 08/21/2013  same MO as call to others from indivual named "Brooklyn" or is that "Crooklyn".

I just received the same message from Brooklyn at 888-880-2403 informing me of the exact same thing.  Phone call received 8/20/13.  Called number just to see if anyone would pick up and it just rang.  Thanks to all who posted.

I also got a call from Brooklyn today. I can't believe that 1) this scam is still in use and that 2) people still fall for it!

I love how foreign scammers use current events in their scams. I guess the boiler rooms in India have CNN International on. Must be were the scammers get their "American" names. Earn that 118 rupees boys!

Received phone call from 880-332-3000  Claims they are from Microsoft and that my computer has a virus and is downloading and sending military secrets.  I asked if I sound stupid and hung up.  Werid

I received a call on my voicemail and when I returned the call I asked for ext. 434 as well and a girl put me on a brief hold.  When she came back to the phone, she  informed me that the person on that etension was not available and that she could help me.  I asked her what where they calling me about she refused to say and proceeded to try and ask me the questions that she wanted to ask.  When I refused to give up any information, she sounded irritated so I informed her that I'm not giving her anything about me and hung up the phone.  Seconds later I called again and asked her why was she so irriatated and she replied "I'm not irritated" but clearly the demeanor in her voice displayed otherwise.

I won 25K and all I had to do was deposit 5K in a Nigerian bank for a safety handling fee. I am supposed to receive my check in the mail within the week! I am so lucky.

Same as everyone else.   I "won" $25,000 cash or $25k shopping spree.  When I returned their voicemail, I learned that I had to attend a Direct Buy event, show them ID and a credit card, then learned that I was only a FINALIST for the $25k - not a winner.    LOL - I won't be wasting my time at their hard sell event.

Called # given..No answer Jeff Johnson will call me back as Brooklyn is not available. as i called i googled the # & as expected this is what came up...jeff called back.(private caller).i informed him i googled the # & would like my # removed...he stated you would like to forfeit your prize? I said yes & he hung up...Umm can't they be less obvious

I too received several messages on my answering machine from Brooklyn 1 (888) 880-2403 X434 but the caller ID says 1(888)300-5799.  I'm suppose to be a finalist for a $25,000 shopping spree or cash.  After the 3rd message I decided to call the number back and another lady who said Brooklyn wasn't there said she would help me.  I told her I don't recall entering anything and she asked for my name, which I gave her...dumb. anyways, I'm suppose to go to the local Direct Buy this saturday.  It's a 90 minute tour and if I'm early I will get free tickets for meals.  I'm suppose to bring a six digit code with me that she gave me. I was told that after the tour I will receive 2 roundtrip airline tickets or cruise tickets for attending.  I asked her how we could get airline tickets or cruise tickets when we haven't planned when we will use them.  After reading all of your posts I tried call them back which is 9p.m. central time...no answer. I tried the caller ID number (888) 300-5799 and recording says it's not in service. (?)

Complaint,I also got the call 7-15-2013 Message was left regarding an entry form for $25,000 shopping spree or cash filled out in the last twelve months at mall, movie theater or.....  "Good news" my name was "pulled last night".  I don't remember any entry. However the message says my name was pulled, and not saying any NAMES from a "notification center" is pretty vague. Just left a phone 888 880-2403 Ex 434 for Brooklynn. Called to take name off list but just rang.............

Brooklyn called me and told me that I had been pulled (think it was my leg...) Pressed 1 and spoke with the lady online and asked when I would receive my prize.

I also got the same message from Broolkyn fom 888-300-5799 about being my name being pulled for a $25,000.00 shopping spree, @ EXT 434.    She sounds "very perky and sweet" on the phone.  Glad so many of you posted this info.  This message is very deceiving!  Hope you catch them and this post helps.  Received call today at 2:25 pm 7/15/13

I received a phone message stating the same as the others and to call 888-880-2403.  I decided to check your website and confirmed what I thought.  By the way, I received the same phone message about a year ago.  I can't be that lucky!

Same as the others saying Brooklyn called.  I did not call back.

I also received the same call 888-880-2403 leaving the same message stated above.  I decided not to respond to the message until I have investigated the number online.

After I read the messages above, I decided not to respond to the call.

Got this call on my voicemail yesterday.  Hi.  this is Jonathan from the notification center.  You recently filled out an entry for $25,000 shopping spree or $25,000 cash prize at a shopping mall, theater, or online.  Last night your name was pulled.  Please call immediately to claim your prize.  I did not fill out anything.  So I went online to see what scam this was.  I will definitely NOT call Jonathan.
