received call at 1:21 pm EDT on 06/24/2014. They have called before. some sort of scam.
Don't answer these calls!

I received a call from this number, which was not identified by my caller id as being from Verizon.  However, caller claimed to be from Verizon and wanted to "review" my service.  I didn't and hung up on him.  Was this from Verizon?  If so, they need to STOP.

This number just called and I answered the phone.  The individual said the phone call was being recorded yadda yadda...They knew my name and said they needed to verify that my verizon account information.  I told the person on the phone I do not feel comfortable providing any information because you called my house phone and not my cell phone.  The individual said it was "verizon policy" to only call home phones.  (sure?.)  I told the individual that I will call them back on a number i trusted because of identity theft and fraud is common these days?hahaha.  I hung up and reported it to verizon.  They confirmed it was fraud.  DO NOT PROVIDE ANY INFORMATION TO ANYONE ON THIS PHONE?.ITS A SCAM!

Verizon sales call. Always rings while I'm at work. Did answer it last week, started to get the "spiel" and when I said I am at work they ended the call. Didn't stop them from calling at the same time today!

This Number keeps calling me but they say that it is VERIZON but i don't have any issues that would require Verizon to call me.  They never leave a message and call all hours of the day.  I call the number back a get a recorded message  that has a lot of static in it.  

They are back. Had 3 calls before blocking in April 2013; now starting over. Happy New Year fraudster, you're blocked again; I don't answer 888 numbers I don't already know.

Called my landline and knew my name. Probably from phone listing. Caller claimed to be with Verizon. I suggested that if Verizon needed to contact me, they could call my Verizon number or mail something to my home address. The caller hung up.

After calling 3x in an hour, I answered.   My call identified themselves as Verizon.  Under the ruse of wanting to check on me & how my service was . . . . I began a list of issues I'd bern putting off handling, but I'd need to contact customer service about those.  So I asked, what exactly about my service are you checking on then?  Oh, I'm up for renewal?  Great!  Can you  clarify the specs on phone xxx vs phone yyy?  No?  You're pretty useless as a sales department goes!  They hung up after that.  I did not provide any account info -- they brought it up to me.

At least once a week I receive what appears to be a robo-call from  888.885.7029.  When I answer, the call drops.

This number calls my cell every day.  I never answer as I don't answer calls from numbers I don't recognize.  Very annoying.  They'll get the hint eventually and STOP CALLING!

telemarketer folks trying to raise awareness for a group called nambla, wanted a physical address and e-mail so they could send a free newsletter... thanks anyway - gotta nuff spam already

The people at 888-885-7029 are trying to sell NAMBLA memberships.  WHAT THE HELL?!

These people called asking if I wanted to join NAMBLA.  I had no idea what it was & didn't recognize the number so I declined & asked them to remove me from their call list.  Then I googled NAMBLA. Oh. My. God. How. Disgusting.  WHY THE HELL WOULD THEY ASK ME THIS?!!

These folks bought data stolen from Verizon Data Bases and are using personal information to verify who you are, who your relatives are and will steal your identity. Do Not Answer this call. Report them to the Federal Trade Commission. They already have made numerous purchases, loans and so forth in other peoples names then you get calls saying they will clean it up for you when in fact it is them doing so. The company is UGS or USG (not the official company listed on NASDAQ). These folks have ripped many off with scams such as send them money for loans which goes to accounts to in Canada and funds things you are not aware of. They take pictures of pretty buildings and have spoofed numbers from police officals, ripped people off, stolen money out of bank accounts, this is cyber organized crime folks. And it will get worse before it gets better. If you get a call, do not answer, Sarah, Gina, John, Dan, Officer XYZ or Detective/Special Agent XYZ, this is a scam number. Report it. Thanks.

I get calls several times a day from Verizon asking about reviewing my service. I have asked repeatedly for them to stop calling and I just got the 3rd one today. They said that they cannot add to a do not call list. And yes, I did review my service with them 4 months ago and since then they will not leave me alone. I have added their number to my "reject call" list on my/their Verizon phone!

I have been getting calls from this number for about 2 weeks now. I don't ever answer numbers I don't recognize anyway, but when I saw how persistent they were, I got worried. I told my boyfriend about the calls so he Googled the number.  He told me that he found the number online and it was supposedly a scam and for me to be careful. Today, I got the call again and decided to go ahead and answer.  They gave the whole spill about how they were calling from Verizon Wireless and how the call would be recorded for quality purposes, then they asked me to verify my account information. Before they said anything else, I said, "After googling this number we found it to be a scam and i'd appreciate you not calling me anymore."  After that, without another sound, the guy hung up on me.  PROOF that it WASN'T Verizon!!!!

I called Verizon to report the number and they were very happy to hear I caught it in time. They told me NEVER to give any information out over the phone and that the ONLY reason they would ever call is to get a payment (if your account is past due). She also mentioned to be even more certain you are really talking to Verizon that you could always hang up with the rep and call them back yourself! Good advice! If this ever happens again...I'll definitely be hanging up and calling them back!!

This is a scam number that pretends to be associated with Verizon Sales Department to gather personal information. If you get a call from it, call the REAL Verizon at either 611 or 1-800-VERIZON and tell them about it.

I received a call from this number (888-885-7029) on my cell - no one was there so I hung up.  Then, 15 seconds later my Office phone rang - same number, same thing happened.  So, I came here like I always do when these idiots call me.  Glad I did.

I sometimes like to answer these calls and mess around with the caller, saw it once in a stand-up routine (don't remember who's), but they didn't give me the chance!  Oh well, maybe next time...

I get this phone number calling me constantly. I NEVER answer because if I don't know the caller I am not interested in wasting my minutes on them. I am certainly NOT buying anything. yet even though I never answer they call me daily. REALLY!!!!????

Not true, we do. It is a SALES call. But this time it note only showed me the number calling, but flashed as it was complete the person/person's calling me:) Not good esp. for those who use their personal cell numbers to do work from home!

This number calls a lot. Mostly foreign speaking and today eating food while trying to talk on the phone which resulted in not understanding a word.  This could not be a Verizon bill collector as I am a month ahead in payment. Telling them not to call take off list does not help one bit.

I had at least a dozen calls from this number so I picked up. It actually is Verizon Wireless, their sales department. They had total information on my four cell phone family plan. Two of the phones were off contract and they were trying to get me to sign up for a new contract for a new phone, which I wasn't interested in. They also offered two free months on one phone unit  if I took a 1 year contract. Since I had no plans to change carriers, it was pure gravy, so I took it. Their call frequency, hidden caller id, and boiler room background noise sure is a sad state of affairs for Verizon.

Is it really Horizon? Joined Verizon service at end of January and have paid my bill early every month. Keep getting annoying and constant phone calls from this number and they NEVER leave a message.

SCAM! wanted too much personal information on a personal account!

They've called here two or three times a day, and I told them the first time that I am NOT interested in changing my plan. Now we don't answer "Toll Free Call." When they say they can save me money, I knop it's going to cost more, as well as restart my contract for another two years.

I am completely sick of getting calls from this number. They call me every day and the line always goes dead as soon as I answer.

I am 100% sure it isn't a Verizon debt collector because I have always paid my bill on time and in full.

Once, you attempt to receive the call know response, after you hang the phone up they right away will this none sense (unprofessional behavior) Your assistance helping stop these prank calls will greatly be appreciated.

These people keep calling and calling. Usually when (if) I answer, the line goes dead. The one time someone actually spoke, they wanted to talk about my Verizon Wireless account, to see if I was "getting the most" out of my service. This is NOT a debt collector as one claimed. At best, this is a sales call, but considering the call quality and the suspicious nature of the questions the woman was asking me, a large part of me believes this is some sort of scam. I told the woman to take me off their list and to stop calling, but that was five calls ago.

Been getting calls from this number for about 2 weeks. Sometimes it has 11- in front, other time not. They never leave a voice mail. If I don't know the number I don't answer. Now I'm glad I haven't.
