these ones like to call and wake up the entire house, if you don't answer the first time they WILL call back MANY times

They call at 7am every day. I think it is CBV Collection services for OSAP loans. Very rude and demanding.

They always call my phone for someone else. I called theme back two times and told them"you called wrong number". They said they will cancel my phone from there list, but I still get call from them.

i have continued to get phone calls from this company which is collectcorp and allianceone who are the one company. sick of getting these calls. how do i stop them from calling

They call me 5 times a day and night but they say nothing and when i call back they don't answer

Ya this woman got ahold of me one time and told me i oea them money and then told me i "must have drug dealer freinds i can borrow money from" . Which is totally illegal and stupid now she calls 10 times a day.

This number calls 10 times a day sounds like a fax machine .never leaves a message just static .now I answer and hang up rather then being charged for messages I never recieve  and if you pay to block the number they call from another same static noise.

they called here today and no one answered then after about 30 seconds it started ringing and tod me ("Very amusing, Renee") that she will call back in an other time then hung up.

Person called and asked to speak to me, I said I was speaking then he wants to know my date of birth...I simple ask what this matter is all about and why he wants to know my date of birth... all he can say its a personal matter and he needs to know my date of birth...so I argued,  I don't know who you are, you haven't disclose who you are working for and you expect me to give my DOB to a stranger...and I hung up the phone.  I can't stand these people this is the 21st century if you can't tell me who you are and what you want me for why would I give you my personally information!!!

I have been getting calls from this # almost daily. I have no student laons ,owe nothing to anyone ,have no overdue debts of any kind. This is our business # & I'm getting pissed off about it. I have now call blocked them after leaving dozens of very nasty messages on their machine basically asking if anyone has the balls to call back with a real person on the other end. ( They didn't) .  All I ever get on the line when I answer is a busy signal really. Does anyone know who this really is?????? I would love to know

I got 3-4 times calls from 1-888-890-9074. But one is there to speak & talk. Called back but message box is full. Don't know what to do.

I am receiving calls from this number several times a wk and am getting quite ticked!!  Many are early a.m. calls.  The message says it is in regard to "an important time sensitive business matter that requires your attention" and goes on to say that any one of his associates can handle the call and asks that I call back at 877-766-7690.  Grrrrrr!!!

I receive calls from this number 2 times by week.  It often say nothing or just spell tree number and hang up.

Got a call from this number today, twice.  Once at 8am once at 9am.  No one was on the line, all I got was a dial tone.  Very annoying.  I'm thinking about contacting RCMP Phonebusters to see if there is anything that can be done about these annoying calls.

I am doing the yelling thing too.  I am trying to get Telus to step in but in reading the blogs my hopes are dashed.   I do have enough to go to the RCMP.   The information here has been soooooooooooooooo helpful.

This is CollectCorp in Canada - their number is 416 961 9622. I called them and the receptionist got an ear full from me. After much yelling she came back and said she's removed my number off the list. I told her if it happens again i will take legal action. She apologized and said if it happens again to call her back and she'll get a manager to investigate and get the person dealt with. I'm pretty  certain they wont call, I told them the person they're looking for is not on the number and I'm sick of getting their harassing calls. Call them up and yell at them too! :)

They also go under the name of Alliance One with the same prerecorded messages used by Collectcorp and others. It's a buyer of junk collectibles that were written off some time ago. They act as if they represent a company or bank but that is just where they bought it from and who will not receive any funds if collected. This outfit keeps 100% of what they collect. To give you an idea of their honesty you can pay them by Western Union which means there is no trace to show you have paid and none for the income tax people to trace. The Western Union is cashed anywhere in the world, for example the Cayman Islands.

Get to know their numbers, this site will help, but do not answer the phone and do not respond to voice mails no matter how urgent they sound. They may even send you mail. Ignore it. You will notice they do not because they can not provide details.

Be very careful and do not get into a verbal war with them because you will lose. They tape everything you say and its not for quality control purposes.

it's the same answering machine message that you get as when you call this number. apparently he's a very aggressive collection agent.

I've been receiving calls and stumbled on this page when I looked the number up in reverse. I've book-marked it and will post all the 8?? numbers and experiences as well as the laws.

In Alberta unfortunately you have even less rights for collection. I bill collectory collecting on behalf of there own debt can call you an unlimited number of times per day/week there is no limit. I protested this to my local MP and the calls seemed to reduce after that fact.

In BC you are very well protected if you have a cell phone. Under the law no collections agent may call you if you will incur cost's as a result of contact. I have a BC cell just for that but several companies try to ignore the law using auto-dialer!  Know you rights and complain like hell if they are violated. If you don't who will!!

What can be done about this? I live in Canada and get calls frequently throughout the day EVERY DAY. I have left messages 3 times. I do not owe any money to anyone. What can be Done?
