We JUST changed our Phone # to the current after 13+ years....the previous phone landline was $OLD & given away when we re-fied  & lifted our credit temporarily which we ALWAYS have blocked since we are not making MAJOR purchases....

soooooo...after just 1 1/2 days? "TIME WARNER CABLE" calling? VERY SUSPICIOUS.....Caller ID....doubt it is....

In our household we've gotten to the point where we never pick up calls UNLESS we recognize or know who is the caller. If the party calling doesn't leave a message indicating the purpose of their call with a return number we can call back, then we just ignore the call--figuring that if it IS really that important they will eventually leave an adequate message we can understand and respond intelligently to!

Is there a monitor for this web page? People are complaining (and rightly so) about the calls from TMC, and then there are ads for them placed between complaints! There are also other ads. We are complaining about annoying calls and now we are besieged with ads!

This is Time Warner Cable... BUT it isn't necessarily a sales call. In our case, it was our Business Class rep calling us about some ongoing installation and service issues.

They already tried "spam calling" me 2 weeks ago. I told them not to do it anymore and they said they'd put a note in to stop the calls.

My phone right now has a full voicemail box so callers have to try back if I don't pick up. Just now they tried calling 4 times in a row:

First two times, I let it go to the full VM
Third time, I hit "ignore" just before the rings ended.
The fourth time, I hit "ignore" straight away.

They stopped calling. I had a tech come today, so if they are calling about that then they shot themselves in the foot. I'm never answering a call from this number. They tried spam calling me last week, too.

Their terms say we all agree to get these calls even if we're not on the To Not Call registry. You have to either call them or chat via their system and ask them to stop calling... which I did just now.

Why is it difficult for you to understand that someone was limited to TWC despite the subpar service? The rule to get only TWC was the apt complex's not TWC. But that does not by virtue make TWC's services acceptable to that particular person.

MAYBE the person didn't know their rights. Maybe they did and the rights were there. It's all irrelevant to the service not being to standard for that particular person who for one reason or another thought they had no other option for connectivity.

Yeah, Time Warner Cable.  I answered and they were harassing me, trying to sell me products.  It was really sketchy, they asked about what security I use at home, so of course, I refused to answer.  Then he asked what I used to watch movies.  Finally, I hung up on the person.  I went online to find if it was some kind of phishing attempt, but it's actually the same number they have listed online!

My advice is just to not answer...

Received call on cell phone, no message left. Called back, it's TWC call center. They checked their records, they do not have my cell phone number on file, none of their call centers made any calls to that number today, and they said that they no longer use outside companies for sales solicitations, it's all handled in-house. No idea who it is.

The number 888-892-2253 is Time Warner Cable, requesting feedback or a survey regarding any calls you have placed to them.  Every time you call TWC, the CSR requests you to complete a survey at the end of the call; if you contact them online, same thing.

Received a call from 888-892-2253, automated message stating my Time Warner Cable account is in "peril" and I needed to call them back at 888-252-2253 (it is a different number number, notice that?). I called the 2nd number and received an automated message stating it was the "Comcast Community Sales Line" and that the number would be disconnected after Jan 11th, (um, it's MAY 9th today).. anyway, it is an obvious scam call, not even associated with Time Warner really.  I do HAVE time warner service, and I LOVE it AND their customer service has always been good. Don't blame a good company because our society is full of parasites.  Just don't fall for it either.

If you are a customer of TWC then the Do Not Call List (DNCL) does not matter as it can be called a customer call and not a sales call.  However if you are not a customer of TWC then the DNCL is applicable.

FYI, my bill is two weeks overdue and that today is the first time they've tried to contact me (although, I did mail out my payment in full two days ago). That is far from harassment. They don't charge a traditional late fee until it's over a month delinquent either. Very happy with their service have been using them for over 5 years.
