The number 1-888-893-9519  identifies themselves as First National Bank of Omaha.
I do not know if the person calling works for the actual bank or if the debt is already bought and you are being called by a collection  agency (debt buyer) which is a different entity ! They will often represent themselves as the actual bank that you have your account with that is in default, but I have heard that often the one who calls is most likely an agency that has bought your debt from the bank (the debt buyer & their agents) will misrepresent themselves as working for the bank when in fact they  are debt collectors.. After all -  YOUR debt is money - your debt has been bought and they want to collect on it again!  Same with mortgages - your signature on a note is money and can be sold, many times over!   There is a way to fight debt collectors & mortgage lenders LEGALLY-get wise & learn up on this!

they have a slow system that when they call you it sometimes takes a few minutes to connect and thats when you get some dead air time its not a perfect system, try calling the number back they will answer saying "first bank card this is so and so" you can simply tell them the number that they are caling you on and they can pull up your file that way its simple, make a call rather than sit around and wait for more calls wondering whats going on.

Same old calls everyday. I just now started picking up the phone and never say a word. They hold on for awhile and so do I and soon they hang it up. I know its not for me as I owe no one, but something has to be done these calls. I am about to have an FBI friend look into this harrassment.

Do not know is calling but they let it ring off the hook, I do not turn on answering machine so they ring it until it want ring anymore. Sick of this, the dad blame Do Not Call list is worthless. They can ring it all day and never get anyone here. I do not now what they want because I do not owe anyone anything if it is a debt collector. Something has to be done about these annoying calls. Thanks.

People listen up! FTC don't do anything unless thousands yes thousands of reports about said numbers!
The best solution so far is to spam them back! Costing them time and money!
Post the phone numbers they call you from on something like craigs list.
Post the phone number as a free t.v or something.
I've also been told by a consumer they use prank calling websites to get some pay back!.
These bottom feeders will not follow FTC rules so have some fun.
P.s
If they call from out of area numbers, answer the phone but don't talk.
Keep them on the line until they hang up.
Next call your local police and report the threats they just make to your life.
This will get things resolved ! Or at least  this  is what we here at the FTC have been told is working .
It's your word vrs their word! You have proof they have been calling an harassing.
The police will help you !
