Amy - your company is bogus....they continually call people at work and threaten to speak with employers and show up at places of business....I have given my work address each time....NO ONE SHOWS UP!  When I return the call they say the office was closed....which was a LIE!  it is an attempt to collect a supposed debt then there is an appropriate way to do so.  We have all had rough times in our life and have had to make arrangements on debts owed.  Bottom line....you need to confirm the debt is valid...which you all do not! If it is valid, don't consistently harass people at their jobs...if you want payment, putting someone's job  in possible jeopardy, would not be a wise decision.  And from what I have gathered online about BOR - this is a common practice.  I hope your company learns how to conduct itself in a professional manner

Getting calls from a BOR Company and I think gave 2 different names tha number is 855-860-0761 I think they are trying to scam me

Received 3 calls all from private number but caller left (855)860-0761. Stated his name was Fred Mills and that I needed to contact him at this number and there were allegations and claims against me. Left a claim number. Called place of employment yesterday and got absolutely no where and said he was coming. Supervisor told him to come on down. He became violent over the phone with him. Called today again said he was on his way no one showed up. Threatened my mom who is ill and got her upset. Said he was coming tomorrow morning to serve me papers. We shall see

I got 3 calls at my work stating that a  process server will be there to serve me papers for a debt I have no clue on.  I said unless u have a badge u will not be allowed on government property.   Then they hang up.  Contact name was nicole crews.

Ignore 'em.  Ignore any threats.   Report  them to the local police and local attorney general.

Probably not.  Look at the earlier entries about this company.   Don't let them threaten you with any kind of criminal prosecution.  Don't let them threaten you, period.

Private companies cannot
"press charges".  They cannot filed criminal complaints.  

Only the duly constituted public prosecutors can do that.   If you were suspected of committing a crime thepolice would have already interviewed you.  

Having an unpaid loan is not a criminal offence.  

You've been scammed.

They can go to civil court, but they have to serve you with process and you have to be duly notified.

So what has happened since apparently that's what they tell everyone

Been calling from unknown numbers won't tell me anything but want me to be stupid enough to give them info, if I had something with them I have the same number for years and employment so it's not like I'm hard to find

Yeah I've got the same calls for the past 3 days. Even calling family members. 844-647-7513. Was a Sally. I ended up giving my card number. Next day I googled the company and found all these comments. So I called my bank and got a new card ordered before they took money out.

LAST YEAR I RECEIVED A CALL AT WORK NUMEROUS TIMES AND FINALLY I THOUGHT PUT A STOP TO THIS.  I DON'T KNOW WHO THESE DAMN PEOPLE ARE, BUT, THEY SAID THEY WERE GOING TO SERVE PAPERS.  WELL, GUESS WHAT I RECEIVED A CALL AT WORK FROM SOMEONE NAMED CLARK AT 844-647-7513, SAYING ABOUT SERVING PAPERS AGAIN.  WHO THE HELL ARE THESE PEOPLE.  I AM NOW FED UP, I'VE CALLED THE PHONE COMPANY, THE STATES ATTORNEYS OFFICE AND THE FTC.  THESE PEOPLE NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN.

This company keeps calling my phone number for some one I don't even know,  File complaint to BBB but case was closed by BBB because no reply from BOR. How can I stop this company to call my phone number????  Any ideas?

BOR might be "around" but so are a lot of other "frauds" like the company you work for BOR! It is a joke, I have clients who have gotten your calls and I have to calm them down becuase they are scared that you are real until I tell them a few simple legal procedures that would need to be followed before any of the threats you make would come of anything. Find a real business and stop being a pest to the rest of us!

The number that called was 855-880-7677 but they did say they were BOR. the guys name was Robert Nash. So I don't know who these people are but they have called my in laws and people I haven't spoken too in 10+ years. They have used different names when talking to my family. And this has been going on for a few years. My husband just called them requesting information from them in regards to who they are and would not tell him. I am learning that legally they have to tell you who they are and where they are calling from. My husband proceeded to tell them to stop calling his family and harassing them..and asked them why they haven't called me directly since they supposedly had my address and phone number. And why I hadn't received a formal letter in the mail? My husbsnd also told them that he was getting an attorney involved now. And they hung up on him. If they were a real company then they would never hang up on anyone ever.

Fake debt collector with illegal tactics to collect and prey on victims. There are many more like this "debt collector" and most of which operate out of the state of New York. I have a hunch and some information that they are all actually linked -- they steal people's information (who have probably used an alternate loan in the past) and call and threaten as a means of collecting money which is not theirs to collect.

You need to send a Cease & Desist letter to them IMMEDIATELY via certified mail with a delivery confirmation receipt.

I have noticed the uptick in the fake debt collectors over the past few years. Anytime you give information out on the internet. Like to sign up for a loan ect. This gets sold and the scammes buy it up. They call people that might not of ever gotten a loan and try to say that you owe. Its a mess. They also look up state court records and use them against you also.

Joel, similar deal here. The BOR folks are claiming a debt of $1,000 plus. Claim the original debt came from Integrity Advance Loans. Some payday lender. They are totally in error. No such loan. Never any loan. Say they will serve "papers".
My reply : Okay where can we meet you to pick them up let's get the suit started if you will not believe this is at the very least identity theft.
They have claimed to be a "pre litigation service" and a mediation service.
Let's see what the pattern is.

Just got the same types of calls.  IT IS A SCAM.  I had to close my bank account and place stop payments on these.  Do not send them any money.  They harassed my old job, my parents, my sister's husbands mother (!?) and anyone even associated with my name.
Super embarassing!  Stated they had my IP address and street address.  They are bluffing, no one will arrest you, no one will come to your house.  Tell them to send the information to me and file a police report.  MOST IMPORTANTLY don't talk to them - tell your family to ignore it to - don't engage these morons that only makes them call more.

did they serve papers i just got a call

my brother first received a call asking for me regarding a case i had against me. they provided a case number and a call back number for me. When i did call them, they identified themselves a BOR mediation group.They stated Cash Store was looking to file charges against me due to an unpaid loan from 2012. They stated i would be charged with breach and fraud. At first they sounded like a legitimate place, so i gave them a card number and set up payments. However after I thought about it and did some research I was concerned that it might be fraud. So i called BOR again and asked for proof of debt. They said they were a PRE LITIGATION firm and were not required to provide proof of debt.They stated they could not provide any such proof until I made a first payment. Even after then I would have to wait weeks to 30 days to receive the notice. Which means I would have had to pay a minimum of four payments before getting proof of debt. So i asked for their address.Still nothing.At this point i called cash store and they stated they had soled my debt to a collection agency,and that they were not looking to take me to court. ALL THIS TELLS ME IS THIS IS A SCAM !! They might be a true collection firm but DO THEY have the right to threaten with Criminal charges & lawsuits ?? Are they even allowed to press criminal charges against citizens ???
