Just got a call from this number- but I have a rule about not answering numbers if I don't recognize them....especially if they are out of town numbers. I just let it go to voice mail- no message, of course.This is the first time they called me- hopefully won't call anymore!

Yep, bunch of people that say they are collecting for police fund but they hang up after some tough questions like, "...what police department?" and "For what city are you collecting?".

Both State Police and Childrens charity in the same donation, person does not like being told no, wast of cell minutes for sure.

I believe the caller said something about a "state police charity." They have been harassing me ever since I moved to Alabama and got a land line which I would cancel in a heartbeat if I didn't need it for work. (No I'm not a telemarketer) I have asked them repeatedly to remove my name from their list...one idiot flat out told me no and got rather nasty. When you complain that they call constantly they tell you THEY haven't called you since last year, which may be correct, but a lot of other people from the same organization call....and call...and call...and CALL.
They call all hours of the day and evening.
I have AT&T and these numbers can't be blocked, I've tried. It wouldn't do any good anyway, they have a lot of different numbers they use and if you block one they just switch to another.
Don't answer the phone if you don't recognize the number and DO NOT give them any money.

This person has called several times, but never says anything. Seems to hang up after we answer the phone.
