I received a call from Card Member Services - Jesse Kelly.  Claims to be able to help get me lower interest rates.  Put a Temporary Authorization on my credit card for $995.00.  I made a mistake and first agreed but then said no.  The temporary authorization still is on my card.  I do not know what to do.

Watch out for this company. They take your money and provide you with nothing. Genesis is being investigated by several agencies already. Like the FTC, AARP and several Senators in various states. They Never give timely refunds if at all and don't get you the rate reductions they promise but you have to pay first to see what they will do. It's all a big scam. they have 2 more toll free numbers as well...866-980-2265 and 888-897-5030. they change their number everytime their reputation gets out on the new number. Immediately call your card company and file a dispute for the charge. The longer you wait the harder it will be...

Remember, companies that charge you up front without providing the service are a real scam. It's the ones that do the work first before they ever charge you that are the legitimate ones. At least they show you they can do it.

Contact your attorney general asap. chances are they already have a file on them.

I talked to them and paid for their services.  They sent me a form to fill out and I faxed back to them.  They left a message for me to call them to talk and I've been trying for days.  They never answer the phone.  It rings about 10 times then goes to a busy signal.  Also they won't answer email.  Not sure what to do now.  Will probably call my credit card co. today to get money back and call atty general to file complaint against them if they don't contact me.

I really do agree with you Maxxie there are so many people out there that REALLY expect something for free, I really feel sorry for those people. I really like being with this company, they have helped me so much in my family and i being debt free faster.I would not know what do if i was in the position I was in 3 years ago. I am receiving a full refund.  They are working with me to their best ability, and they are being very compliant and helpful.  Mr. Allen and Ms. Brito were very helpful in getting this taken care of.  I, as customer, am getting a full refund, because this company stands behind their work and quality of their work. I have already contacted my credit card company about this are the are going to dispute the charge.  That was the first thing I did after my initial problem began.  Thanks for the advice though.

Contact your credit card company and dispute the charge. They will assit you in getting a refund for 100% of the amount they charged you. Especially since you requested your refund within 7 days. By law they are required to process that refund with in 7-10 business day not 1-2 billing cycles like they claim.

Talked to Lorna Brito at 1-888-897-5030 ext. 10666 and the payment was lowered to $495 which is half of what they tried to make me pay of $995.  I am pleased with the half.  I can get them out of my life and never have to deal with the stupid card company again.

still no call back...I have tried DAVE again on the same phone number now being sent to an automated voice message system.  I don't think I ever will get my call back.

After an hour and a half of leg work...I finally got ahold of a Dave at (1-866-378-DAVE), supposely the big boss.  We discussed my account and he is to contact me in 10 minutes with a decision.  We will see!  I will keep you all posted.

I was contacted yesterday and they did get the $995 out of me with little to no work to them.  I contacted my credit card company that they made the payment from and they credit card company will be helping me get this resolved.  They wil be helping me fight this.  

I have been contacting GCM as well, but little or no help!  I have two numbers 1-888-897-5030 and 1-866-980-2265.  The first number all I get is a recording and then the phone just rings and rings.  The second number I get someone on the phone but I am told that they will have to call me back.  

On the website (http://www.genesisdebtrelief.com/customer_service/)  they state you can get refunded within 7 days of purchase. (I am on Day 2.)  Also in their terms and agreements they have a money back policy that states you can get refunded within 3 days of purchase.  Also I have tried to submit online like there website says you can do, but the submit button does not work.

A big scam and fast talkers!

I almost fell for this scam. they wanted to charge me $795.00 and said they would save me over $5000.00 I gave them 3 of my credit cards and then they put a guy on the phone that used the name of Williams I can't remember what he said his first name was. He talked in so many circles that I was dizzy. when I finally got him to spit out what he was talking about I found out that he wanted to charge me to do something I COULD DO MYSELF or have my kids do for me. then he started telling me I was just not understanding and that I was stupid. So I play along to get his information. He became very angry when I still said no and called me names. then he proceeded to tell me how he already had my credit cards and my information so he could ruin my credit. That's when I hung up and cancelled all my cards and reported this all to my banks.

After doing much research and playing along with them...I found that it is indeed Genesis Capital Management www.genesisdebtrelief.com which was using 866-980-2265 but apparently they just change their toll-free number when the heat comes. Any legitimate company would not do that...right...so let's all make sure that we Don't forget to call our local Attorney General to report them.
