These people are debt collectors for cash net USA. Peter Sumter will tell everyone he is a attorney, but he is NOT. He barely made it out of high school. If you don't repay a payday loan it is not criminal, it is civil. They prey upon peoples fears to collect debts, which is against the law. If they try to intimidate you please contact your attorney generals office in your state and file a complaint

I really don't understand why all the complaints from everyone??
My experience was great with resolving my claim. I spoke to manager Peter Sumter and he wrapped my claim up with zero issues. I'm sorry I'm going to have to disagree. Thanks to CDR I'm on the right track to fixing my credit.

These CDR freaks are harassing my sister but won't tell her who she supposedly owes.  They call her work, home and sister everyday-totally unacceptable.  And the dumb lies they tell are insulting.  A lawsuit is in the works!!!

I also received multiple messages from CDR.  When I spoke with them, I was "uncooperative" because I would not pass along a message from them to my sister-in-law.  The man I spoke to was very rude; I called back to ask to have my phone number removed, but I still received a call the next day from a woman that I again told I would not take a message for someone that did not live in my home.  She told me I was "just wrong."  I called back and was finally passed on to a higher-up that gave me the address of where to mail a cease and desist letter:  CDR, PO Box 1275, Orchard Park, NY 14127.  Hopefully this helps someone else.

Here we go again?another slimy, illegal bottom feeder operation has popped up in Buffalo, NY trying to collect on old, worthless, out of statute debts. Owner Jamie P. Belstadt, a retread of the collection business is trying to collect on debts that are 8+ years old. The documents we saw appear to have been produced by a second grader.

John D. Yim, 36, of North Tonawanda, NY, Vice President of another junk debt buyer called CNE Associates; LLC is churning out the phony documents. Vision Credit Solutions, LLC and CNE Associates, LLC show NOT to have any debt collection license or Surety Bond in any state we checked.

In his phony paperwork, collector Yim refers to the consumer as a ?defendant? which appears to violate federal law. His ridiculous form would be better suited as toilet paper than anything worthy of validity. It is pure garbage, nothing he states is true, he makes statements that false, misleading and appear to violate federal law, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

All of these bogus organizations are nothing more than smoke and mirrors to intimidate, harass, lie and mislead consumers into thinking they owe money on worthless accounts. This is typical ?Buffalo Style? debt collections that we?ve seen dozens of times.

These organizations are operating illegally, the accounts have no validity, and the statements they make are false, misleading and ripe with lies. John D. Yim has no idea of what he is doing; Vision Credit (started April 2008) and owner Jamie P. Belstadt are as illegal as all the other affiliated organizations collectively known as the Mackinnon group out of Buffalo. See www.giovelawofficeexposed.com.

FYI, Scum Bag Jon Hummel has changed his name again to:

They are:

Cred-X Debt Recovery (CDR) Solutions
4252 Ridge Lea Rd., Suite 106
Buffalo, NY  14226  (they also are listed with same address/zip as Amherst, NY on other listings)

They have an "F" rating with the Better Business Bureau with numerous serious complaints:

http://www.bbb.org/buffalo/business-reviews/c ... o-ny-235960969/

Send a signed and dated cease and desist letter by certified mail to them telling them why you dispute the debt, demanding that under section 805c of the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act, you are asserting your right to no longer be contacted by them by phone, email, at work, or through the illegal harassing act of contacting friends, relatives, and other unrelated parties which is punishable by law (tell them you have proof of this harassment and are informing the Better Business Bureau, Federal Trade Commission, State Attorney General, and other appropriate regulatory authorities).  If they have made threats over the phone, make clear what those were.  Also, make it clear you have consulted an attorney, and not only is it illegal for the company to harass you and contact others in relation to you, but individual collectors can be help personally liable according to the law.  If you know the name of who you spoke with or who sent you a letter, include this contact's name (although it may not be real).

You may also request a copy of any claims they allegedly have be mailed to you and demand that any future communication be in writing.  Include no identifying data in this communication such as SSN, account numbers, etc., only details of the claim they allege and the address or phone they have been contacting you at.

Put cc's in bold at the bottom of the letter, and send a copy of your letter to the Better Business Bureau IN THEIR REGION (let agencies know they are masquerading as CDR as an added note on their letters, since a search for CDR on the BBB web site does not reveal them), to the State Attorney General (www.nydebthelp.com), and to the Federal Trade Commission.

CDR has provided fax numbers in the past of 716-833-4356 and 716-218-1501 that came up registered to a Boris Vidovic (related to a Vesna Vidovic) once listed at 82 Leonore Rd., Buffalo, NY 14226 (not sure if current address).  He is listed as living in both Buffalo and Amherst, NY, as well as Richmond, VA.

As such, there is a good possibility he is also related to the following collection company, using both an Amherst address above and Buffalo address for similarly named collection companies:

CredEx America, Inc.
5500 Main St., #224
Buffalo, NY  14221 (also uses same name, address, & zip but as Williamsville, NY)

You may wish to send a copy of the letter to both locations and inform the authorities of this also.

Even if you have a valid debt, make them provide proof, and they should NOT be excessively harassing -- it is especially illegal for them to contact relatives and friends in an attempt to threaten you, and there are multiple fines and possible legal punishment.

This company is very rude and won't help you at all when you have financial difficulties. They even called my inlaws and yelled at them about calling an attorney general. I've made 2 payments already but I'm just sick of them making threats. I don't know what I can do. I've dealt with debt collectors before and Bennett paying my debts but this company is truly in its own category.

Called regarding a debt that had already been paid.  But argued with me saying that even though I orginally owed $150, I now owe over $2500 due to interest.  The first phone call I got was in January of 2009 stating that I have 48 hours to pay what I owe or else they are taking me to court.  It is now October of 2011, and needless to say, my 48 hours were up a long time ago and they continue to call twice a day and leave the exact same robo-message stating that I have 48hrs to reply.  They obviously don't have any legal rights to do anything or else they would have by now.

Obviously the people who are sticking up for this company, also work for them.

They are a bunch of money hungry losers who are trying to collect on zombie debt.  Don't answer the calls, don't believe their threats and NEVER send them money!  Ever.  They are a bunch of clowns and they use hardball tactics to get people to pay debts that they aren't legally obligated to pay anymore (passed the statute of limitations).  Check your state and see what the statute of limitations for collections are.  It's from the time you are first delinquent - say March 2003, if they haven't collected on it by March 2009 (depending on your states laws) it is considered passed the statute of limitations and if they try to take you to court - inform the judge that they are passed the statute of limitations and they will drop the case.

Educated yourself and don't let anyone try to intimidate you.

They are calling me every 30 minutes with threats. They say it is fraud to not pay all monies due on a payday loan. I spoke with a attorney and he said it is like any other debt. You made a promise note and because of your income, could not pay all of it back. They told me"we have info on your checking acct and will use it) not sure what ? Anyway there are legal things these high pressure collection companies must follow. One of them is no threats!!!

Tell them that since they have caused you massive financial hardship, all you can afford to pay them now is $1 per week... then stick to it.  Pay them NO MORE than $1 per week.  DO NOT agree to pay any more and do not let them threaten you with any for of intimidation.  They have NO power over you.

Leslie u make a valid point yet u are sadly mistaken, if u listen to the wording used by the collector who contacted you they will state that cashnet will persue and not cdr, cdr is just the middle that tells the loan company that u refuse to pay and then the company u took the loan out with will persue you. and they have not broken the law by calling your work. you listed your number on a legal document and also your work number and place of business. in turn signing over the right to deny phone calls to those numbers. its not called a reference number for no reason. by listing that number u gave cdr full rights to contact that number. on the legal document u signed electrnicaly it clearly states that if they r unable to contact your personal number they may leave messages and or contact the other numbers listed in order to get in contact with u...you gave them the number and gave them the rights to call it. also it is limited to 1 call per number per day unless contacted by the individual. so i assure no law has been broken

they r not empty threats, they statethat they will mark ur case as refuse to pay and then turn it over to cashnet and cash net will then sue and persue you for not only the debt but much more. that is y they are billionaires today. this forum is just putting more and more money in the pockets of cashnet and they love it, they love when you hang up on a collector who is trying to assist u. the is a statement from one of the clients of cdr, pay the loan and it helps,

these people helped me tremendously! They worked with me and gave me a payment option. The company I originally borrowed money from was a nightmare. They destroyed my credit and my bank account had to be closed. Thank you CDR and Mr.Seeger

They kept calling my place of employment non-stop and threatening me constantly now I have agreed to pay the balance of $615.00 in payments although I paid the other day $415 dollars in which they gave me and told me verbally that I can pay the remaining balance by the end of March and now they called me and said they are taking the money out of my account tomorrow morning in which I told him not to do that until I call him back and tell him too, but I also said I need to wait couple more weeks to pay it. It started with me saying okay I can pay $200 then he said $300 I said that is pushing it but I said okay that's fine then by harassing me and making threats he pushed the limit to $415 and now I my account is drained out. I don't know what to do about them taking the other $202 out of my account because they don't seem to understand anything. I am extremely worried anyone have any advice?

This companies name is CDR Credit Debt and Recovery. They have called me from an unpaid pay day loan I have. They lied saying that I will be sued by this office and that I can speak with the attorney. After paying them 1500 dollars and them still asking for more I decided to start asking questions. A guy named Peter Sumpter has told me repeatedly he is a lawyer and now recanted saying he is only an assistant. Now they are saying they do not sue, that another company does. Be careful they have broken the law by continuing to call my work even after I have told them to stop. I will finish paying the remaining amount they are asking for but I will forward all documentation to a firm to stop these guys. Make sure you ask questions and know your rights.
