i actually work with energy one through zap nrg. We are not scammers we actually Di save people money.
And the reason people getting called when they're supposedly on a do not call list is because businesses pay a lot if money for their business to be advertised. In a phone book and online and that's where we receive our leads from. Your number is public and the only way we can stop calling is if you set an appointment and we lower your bill(:

Energy company with an auto-dialer. Called me twice today alone. I called back and asked the woman who answered to remove me, which she (said she) did. We'll see.

It is likely a Internet  phone number.

They clearly say it's a telemarketing call and Energy One was the company name used...My number has been on the do not call list since the do not call list started and I recently updated it with no lapse, so they are getting my number from somewhere and NOT checking the do not call list which is key to knowing this is a fraud.

Why is the DO NOT CALL list not effective in stopping this wate of time & money?

No person was on the line.  After a minute a recording said "not a valid extention" and I hung up.

A "toll free number," followed by a strange twist on annoyance. I answered with a single word "Hello," to be greeted by silence, so "Hello" and "Hello" again. The strange twist was an automated announcement asking me to call "Energy Plus." Must be this way because the poor saps scrounging out a living of boiler room cold-calling could not pick up their end of the line fast enough. Oh well -it must be this job or no job at all.

Got a call from 888-907-6714 - person wanted to speak "with the person who handles the electric bill."

Yet another "phantom" caller, this time from 888-907-6714...too busy for this stuff...why oh why don't they just leave one message and then TAKE THE HINT!  Don't go away mad...just GO AWAY!

Received call from this number, 888-907-6714.  ID screen showed the number, and "Unavailable".  Was a recorded message, something about an energy program and had actually started to give out the number when I hung up.  Normally telemarketers won't leave a message or give a callback number on a recorded cold call. This is a busy office, and I have much more important things to do with my time than answer robocalls.

Have gotten several calls from this number, most recently last week and today. They ask to speak to the person in charge of utility bills. This time they specified Allegheny Power. I stated that this was a private residence, and asked to be taken off the call list. Good luck with that!

I've repeatedly asked these idiots to take me off their list.  The hang up and then call again.  The reason many of you answer only to discover no one there is, they are all using automated dialers, and the live person working the system is behind the dialer, so, when you answer, they are on another call.  I've quit answering these 800 and 888 numbers.  I am on the do not call list, but that means nothing to these people.  They know you are not going to be able to do anything about it.  I've thought about buying an air  horn.  They won't forget that when it goes off in their ears!

This fraudmaster called again today.  Left no message.  So much for being on the national DO NOT CALL list.

Received a call from this number 18889076714. No one on the other end. After a 5 second pause, I was hanging up when "Intro music" began. By this time I had already hung up the phone. I called the number back, a recorded male voice sounding like he inhale helium said "Your call is important to us. Please stay on the line and you call will be connected to the next available agent." After holding on for several minutes with the same recorded voice, the phone began to ring only to have a new message say, " 10000 is not available. Please leave a message at the sound of the tone."

I am a receptionist and have received a call from another number earlier today with no one on the other end AND as I am writing this, the phone is ringing with the ID number 817 887 0121 just another one of the many numbers I receive daily/weekly that no one is on the other end and trying to call back is frustrating and futile.

Cold calling for energy bill! Asked for our number to be removed.
