This is a fraud. The sin of it is they buy bad dept from reputable companies for pennies on the dollar. I called the original co and they woulnt give me an address of the agency. The guy who got on the phone with me is an a***ole. Needs to learn some manners .A real telephone tough guy.

I was called from a local number and told to call 888-920-1455. But... when I try to call the local number back I can't and when I call the 888 number I was put on hold for like 45 min twice... a scam for sure ... problem is the number they have for me is my work number and I am so tired of getting this call twice a week.

Well, if you never had an account with Belk's, you've answered your own question - it is a scam.  And if they really want to send you a dunning letter, it's sent via USPS snail mail, not email.  Read about the FDCPA - remember - if they send no proof you owe the debt to them = you owe nothing.

they called my brother from this number 888 920-1455  and said I had s Simmons to go to court....he thought I  was hiding out...I said no my phone oz under my name... they are not looking too hard..... just harassing friends and relatives.... these may be the same people calling my ex husband for me... and we have been divorced 24  years..... SCAMMERS  whom I will report too the FTC  Monday morning

It was three weeks ago they sent me the same number it started at  910 -134-5678.and they said  was summons from belk.I'm call   belk in the morning.And he gave me a number it was 8889201455 Ext E114.I called the number and I found out it was out of services.I wantto talk to some one about this my  email address is [removed]@yahoo.com

Odds are that the number is still active.  They're just generating an "out of service" interrupt when people call.

they called my mother in laws house number and said i needed to call them back asap cause they was going to serve my court paper today. i called them back and he said his name was mr walker and his ex.108 i could call anytime but i called it back a week later and the number is out of service so people beware beware. its a spam.

If you call that number back, it is a cell phone number.

I talk to them and they make it so real, they said I own  bill for Belk, and I never had accont with belk's and then they wanted my email address so they could seen me a letter.  What do you think.  is it really a scam

So I just received a text from my mother.. who lives in a different state.. saying to call it was important.. she proceeds to tell me that some lady just showed up @ her door asking for me!! And used my MAIDEN name!!!   Saying she needed to serve me papers to appear in court & wanted to know when i would be there but could not answer anything else.. This is all very odd bc I have never lived there @ that house w my parents... plus I have been married & living in another state for years now.. & had the same address for all 7 of them!!!
They gave her the 888-920-1455 for me to call.. but it looks like i can find out about them better than they can me!!  Funny tho.. I had no clue I'd been hiding under a rock.. guess they should REsearch better... IDIOTS!!!!

Just received a call from Martin and Watson Assoc. wanting to know if I was home.   going to serve papers  I need to call 888-920-1455 within 30 min. WHAT A JOKE.

My husband just received a call from18889201455 saying that they are Martin Watson Associates and they have a legal document for him. They gave him the number to call back and a case  number. He asked me to look it up really quick, which is when I found this page.

It's a scam - anyway, why would an attorney call and advise he was pressing charges or filing a lawsuit?  That's not how it works in the US.  Report the call to the FTC, the FBI and your state's Attorney General.  If they call back, tell them they've been reported.  They should identify themselves if they are a legitimate, law abiding debt collections agency.  If they refuse, you know that they are scammers.

same thing, wanted to speak with my daughter who has not lived here for 15 years, Scared me to death.  If it is a collection agency I think they should identify themselves as such. I really thought it was an attorney pursuing a law suit or criminal charges

Received the same call today wanting money or going to court. 18889201455. Wanted my credit or debit card to settle a bad debt. Stated I owed 1002.00 and would close it for 350.00.

WELL THEY APPEAR TO BE A COLLECTIONS AGENCY, I CALLED THE NUMBER AND THEY MENTIONED A DEBT I OWED 12 YEARS AGO.... UNFORTUNATELY THE ONLY WAY THEY CAN STOP CALLING IS BY CALLING THE NUMBER AND STRAIGHTENING OUT THE PROBLEM.. THEIR IS NO COURT SUMMONS OR NOTHING BUT THEY WILL KEEP CALLING. UNTIL YOU CALL AND REQUEST YOUR NUMBER TO BE TAKEN OFF THE SYSTEM, THREATEN THEM TO CALLL THE ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE AND THEY WILL STOP CALLING. THATS WHAT I DID.

I recieved a call from 1-888-920-1455 on 7/1/2013 and was told that they had a summons for my arrest. They said they had 23 offices around, but did not have a website. The address they provided me was another business address in Delaware. I found the address online an called that business and they don't have any type of association with Watson, Martin, & Associates. Oh yea that business had a website that had nothing to do with Martin, Watson, and Associates. The first number that called me was the correct area code but the numbers after the area were 134-5678 almost identical to the number Suzie stated above and that 134 number does not exist around here. When you call the number back it says this number is not in service, but it allows them to call you from it. They told me to send them money and if I sent it then they would not press charges so they asked for a credit/debit card number which i did not give them. When you call the 888 number the pre-recorded message does not even state the name of the business and when the recording prompts you to press 1 or 2 or enter a selection, guess what, you can not choose no numbers or extentions or nothing.

They called me saying that I had a summons to appear in court and could not tell me what it was about.

The chick calling in is calling from 910-134-5679.  The area code where I live is actually 910 but 134 is not a valid exchange.  This exchange is actually an overseas number but it presents incorrectly on caller id.  It is a Nigerian scam, tell them where they can stuff their civil summons.

Yea those sobs called my wife freaking her out talking about a court summons and a warrant for her arrest if she doesn't respond. I told her its a scam

Called my house asking for my daughter by her maiden name.  She has been married for 15 years.  They said  they had a summons for her to appear in court but could not tell me tell me the reason.  Told me to tell her to call Martin, Watson and Associates at 888-920-1455.

Called my daddy house and told my brother if I don't call them back, it's going be warrant for my arrest...

They called my mom and asked for me using my maiden name! I've been married almost 12 years plus my mom has remarried and doesn't have the same name as my maiden name! Told her they needed to deliver some documents!!! I'm sick and tired of these people!

Someone called me and said they had a summons for me but they couldn't tell me what the summons was for or who issued it, or where I needed to go to ensure compliance.
