This number is listed on a website for HOPE.  Do you think this is legite???  It's posted all over the internet and craigslist.  Do you think these folks could be trusted?  Why is he the only one on that website?

The most recent collapse in the real estate and mortgage markets has changed the way we have to look at lending money backed by real estate based collateral. First of all we have to change the way interest is calculated on a home loan. One of the main reasons for the majority of foreclosures is from the direct effect of annual percentage rates that were charged and the way interest was accumulated.

On a $200,000 30 year mortgage at a 5.5% interest rate the principal and interest payment is $1135.58 and over 30 years that totals $408,808.80!!! The real truth is that the true cost for the bank to lend that money is not double of what you borrowed.

after 60 months ( 5 Years )you would still owe $184,921.21! That's after five years of paying $1135.58 ($68,134.80) you have only reduced your principal loan amount by $15,078.79

We have developed a better way to finance your home by utilizing our flat fee system mortgage. We put you in a better position by not charging you a interest rate but a flat fee that is based on the amount of money borrowed. Our Flat Fee is spread over 360 months and we have NO prepayment penalties and the best part is you only pay on the portion of the fee amount that you use. For example if you pay the loan off, refinance or sell the house after 5 years you only pay the amount of the fee for that five years.

On a $200,000 30 year mortgage we charge a flat fee of $75,000 and that payment is $769.83 and over 30 years that only totals $275,000!!

after 60 months ( 5 years ) your payoff would be $166,666.67
after 120 months( 10 years ) your payoff would be $ 133,333.33
after 240 months (20 years ) your payoff would be $66,666.67

By applying a bigger portion of your mortgage payment to principal we actual reduce our future losses and you would be less likely to want to walk away from your house if you have equity.

Our mortgage system is available directly through H.O.P.E. and our resource of private investor funding pools. We do not have brokers are loans are available directly to consumers.

Got a text message from "Chase" saying my card had been deactivated and I should call. I called Chase directly and they said nothing going on with my acct. I tried this number and there is a weird message saying the number has been deactivated.

I guess the scammers closed up shop and moved on their next score. Scum of the Earth!

Chase assured me that they did not send that text message.  According to Chase, this is happening most often to Sprint customers.  It's a fraudulent message.  DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY PERSONAL or ACCOUNT INFORMATION.
