@Super-man: 888 is not some boiler operation in china. It is the prefix for dialing toll-free calls in north america, same as 800, 877, 866, and now 855. The actual number that does the dialing could be anywhere in the world.

In this case a telemarketing agency, sometimes known RMG or Responsive Marketing Group will rent a 1-800 type number to have as a call-back to follow up, so that those who get this number a call display will have the opportunity to know who was calling. This month its for the PC Party of Ontario (http://www.ontariopc.com/) , next month it may be a different campaign.

IF you want to be removed from their 'marketing' list, please use this phone number 800-903-6453 as that is the central number. Better still , Write in Pen and Paper, a request, to remove and write them and send your money elsewhere!

just got a ring from these guys...it's some Chinese scam company looking for donations for the PC party of Ontario.

I've blocked  these guys out with a simple push of the button. So they can call all they want becoz they'll get disconnected on the first ring and then get frustrated and give up!!  wahahaha

I have asked this caller to remove my name/number from their telephone list ... to no avail.  This is apparently the Ont. PC Party campaign office .... how else to stop their calls (the do no call registry doesn't apply, I understand)?
