Randy Snyder is still busy traveling and telling people that he will be serving them papers at work or at home.  I am from Pennsylvania.  He called me from a local number but when I tried to call it back the message said it was no longer in service. The number he wanted me to call back to "settle before the papers were served" was (855) 411-4649. My son said that Randy works for a "junk debt collector" and to not worry and fall for this scam.  Randy should be at my house between 12 and 1:30 today after he goes to my work place where I no longer work.  Sorry Randy. YOU HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED!

Unfortunately, they got me too then.  A man called me and said that he went to my home and I was on longer living there (which was true; but I guess with all the technology and information on the web, he could find that out anyway).  He said that I owed $ from a pay day loan that I got in 2011.  He offered me a one time payment as well but when I said that he could just come serve me the papers, he offered a mthly pymt plan of $200.  To date they got me for $800.00.  I had a question, so I looked at my statement to get the name of the company and possibly the number.  The number wasn't a real number and when I googled the company, I seen all of this stuff about fraud.  It's so crazy that people get away with this.  They have taken $800 from me.  I couldn't even stop payment because the bank said that it wasn't going through as an automatic withdrawal from my acct. and that it wasn't even an automatic bill pay set up.  It was coming in as a purchase made on my debit.  This is def. a scam and I can't believe I fell for it. It's no wonder I'm not receiving any mail or emails regarding my NEW balance or some type of statement showing that my balance is going down.  Next time, if I can't call them back and see some documents, then they might as well come to my job to serve me.

George, just to let you know that I too got a call from a Randy Synder, private courier,  yesterday (07/18/2013) and today (07/19/2013) stating that he has documents to serve me.  Said he would serve me at my place of work or residence between 12:30 and 3 today.  I have a chance to put a "stop order" in on the papers if I call a number with give them my case number. Oh and he ended the message with "you have been notified".  The number came up with a local area code, but when I call it back, it says that the number has been disconnected or is no longer in service.......and I literally called it back 5 minutes later.  Anyways, I live in TX.  From what I have read on the internet about this Randy Synder, he does ALOT of traveling.  LOL!!!

This is a scam. They make it look like they are calling from your state/city and when you try to call back it says disconnected. If you were going to get served they would serve you not announce it.

I am very upset about a call received from MCS. I had a threat that I would be served papers had I not called this toll free number:  866-243-0850. Threatened that I would be put in jail, etc.  Scared, so I called and they bullied me into paying money!  This was from a debt that after I divorced had to file bankruptcy and was discharged; but, they said because I paid 3 months after my bankruptcy was finished, that I kept the debt.  I asked for them to physically mail me the debt info.  I am now after being diagnosed with Wilson's Disease and no longer can work am on SS disability.  I can't make the payment plan they want to put me on.  They had my wrong name, an address from 5 years ago!!!  They are bullying me and I am on a fixed income.  I don't know what to do!!

It's a hoax to get you to pay them money to handle out of court.  They hire these nobodies to call and harass you and your place of employmnet.  The know that most respectable people don't want calls like that going to their supervisor or HR dept so they think you will get scared, give in, and pay them.

Ask for the name and address of their company so you can send them a statement in writing to not contant you at your place of employmnet... I gaurantee they will hang up the phone on you and not call back.

It's awful that they get away with this crap

Said they are sending a courier to my house to serve me "legal papersl cash-net. Serveral years ago I asked for an online loan for $200. They refused me and two days later claimjed they deposited money in my account without telling me by email or any other way. Somehow, after giving them my bank accout info my account came up severazl hundred dollars short, like $800, causing my checks to bounce and 8 incurred over 1000 in overdraft and penalty fees.mind you, I had managed this account down to $1.com67 )94 9_34 2q years without an over draft. I took a lot of pride in that fact, because I don't like giving a bank more of my money than necessary. I started to doubt myself until I sat down with deposit and transactions. I didn't overdraw. Someone committed identy theft and hacked my bank account and it didn't and it was never a problem before I contacted them on the net, only to be rejected. Now they say they put the mooney in, but forgot to notify me. Yeah, right!

I just got this call for a family member who hasn't lived in my home for 20 yrs. I was told that court documents needed to be given and I must give them a # where they could be reached. When I advised them I didn't have a number they gave me a 'claim' number and said the person must call within 2 hrs. I advised them I wouldn't be able to get a message to them for several days and they stated again the person must call them within 2 hrs. I came to check who had called and found 'not available' - had I been @ a different phone I wouldn't have even picked up the call. I checked here to see who was calling and want to thank others for their comments which let me know not to even pass this inf along.

This just happened to me with an 'independent carrier' named Andrea Roberts.  She told me to call 866-243-0850 and that was Mediated Credit Services in NY.  Had a bogus case number and started to ask me to verify.

I told them this felt like a scam as I didn't have any unpaid debts and if it was legitimate they would just serve papers through the courts.   When I said " if you had something legitimate, the Sheriff would be here with papers unannounced."   They hung up.

My guess is this will go away.

So I received a call yesterday from a process server named Lacey, who told me she would be serving me papers tomorrow (which is today) between 12-3 unless I called 888-959-1022 to settle a debt. I didn't call and I just received a call from a pay phone # that's located 3 hours away from me. They left a message stating that they would be serving me papers in an hour but that I could still call 888-959-1022 to stop the process.

I've been looking online and to see if anyone else has been in the same boat and I see they have! So is this person really coming to serve me papers because I'll absolutely die if they come to my place of business. I've been served papers before and no one ever called me to warn me that they were coming-they just showed up. I just want to know if I should be worried at this point, are they really going to show up?

Yes .. this is NOT REAL ... they are not down the street from you .. they are not coming to your work .. they are not coming to your house .. BUT .. they do break the privacy act and call your friends, employer etc .. and tell them the same thing .. this is a huge scam .. even if you have a legitimate debt from before .. what happens is that company writes it off as a charge off after a certain amount of time.  They figure they are never going to see this money .. so they sell it to what is called a "Junk Debt Collector" for a certain amount.  The "Junk Debt Collector" .. in this case any of the aforementioned names from above .. will start using the personal information they purchased and begin harassing you .. they have just enough information to be 'scary' and to make you think they might be legit .. but once you start asking them to verify themselves .. they start falling apart .. I answered the phone and got Lacey .. who said she was coming to GET ME .. I told her ... Well Sweetheart .. COME ON DOWN .. of course she never showed up .. they are not going to show up because they are not for real .. if someone is going to serve you .. they don't call you .. they just show up .. AND .. legitimate collection companies don't share information with third parties .. ie:  your employer, your relatives, your friends .. this is ILLEGAL .. so .. don't run from them .. do shy away from them .. call them out .. answer the phone .. ask them to verify the information BUT DON'T GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION .. don't verify your phone number, don't verify your email, your address .. don't acknowledge ANYTHING .. just keep asking them to verify the debt .. tell them to send it to you .. when they ask for your address .. tell them .. Well .. you have it don't you?  Weren't you going to come over here and serve me papers?  They usually hang up right about then .. mumbling something about handing this over to their attorneys or see you in court or ??? They know they are beat at their own game at this point.  Seriously .. this "new" .. or somewhat new tactic about calling you and saying they are coming to get you is really freaking people out especially when they say they are coming to your work in an hour and you need to have your boss / supervisor verify your identity .. that is just BS by the way.  I have told my colleagues so that if they get phone calls .. they know how to deal with them .. shuts them right down too .. because yeah .. if they tell your boss, your friends etc .. that you are going to be served with legal papers .. they are sharing private information with a third party .. that is ILLEGAL .. call them on it .. I have several recordings from Patrick Connor and Associates .. where they have basically blew themselves us because they shared information with someone other than myself .. I am turning it all over to the Feds .. they are toast .. I sent them an email .. told them .. asked them .. begged them to call me again .. because they are so in deep now .. they will eventually change their name and the phone they call from but it's the same MO .. so don't fall for it .. don't pay them .. if you have legit debt and most of us do .. if its not on your credit report .. don't worry about it .. and also .. if it is on your credit report watch for the sale of the debt to a "junk debt collector" because what happens is they "re-age" a debt which is also illegal .. if you find an old debt that was about to fall off your report (statute of limitations for collection) and it shows up brand new with a different name on the company .. challenge it immediately .. they are in violation of re-aging the debt ... according to the Fair Credit Reporting Act .. don't let them do this .. hope this helps everyone .. just remember .. legit collection agencies .. will call .. they will ask you to call them .. they will NOT give information to anyone but you and they will not leave it on answering machines theatening you with legal stuff ..

This is a scam! I wouldn't return their calls so somehow they got my brother's name and number and called him.  He called me because they had left a message saying the same crap...you know the story - courier come to work, yada, yada, yada. Anyway, I told him that it is a scam (I had found this website) and not to worry. He asked me if I was sure and I said "Yes." He said ok, if your sure and your not worried then I won't worry about it!  So of course, Monday rolls around and guess what? No one shows up. Then the calls stopped for several months and they just started back again. So please, don't anyone fall for their line of crap. That is all it is! These people pray on the innocent in hopes that someone falls prey to their schemes and sends them money.

Several years ago, my husband and I almost fell for a scam where they purchase an item you have for sale. They will send you a cashiers check but it would already be cashed. When this happened we took it to the Police Department. They told us that this people go to school to learn how to scam Americans. He said that according to the FBI and other training he had been to, that is how these people make their living.

Therefore, they are very well versed in what works and what doesn't. Just be careful and don't fall prey to any schemes! God bless!
