Gunnar, I use to live there and was the last address they had for me, unfortunately they signed for my car for me back then, can they repo?

If you're for real than you should know that documents don't get dropped off at your moms' house. You're served..or you're not.
If you owe, pay it. Court date? Not likely. Check with your Clerk of Court.
They won't work with you now? No surprise. THEY ARE DIRT BAG SCAMMERS!

Yeah just make sure you don't really owe it because after I had previously checked this site I ignored the calls, now I find out this is mine and still legally owe it. I had some documents dropped off at my moms house with a court date. I'm pretty sure I know what its regarding but don't know what to do now, any suggestions? I already tried calling them back but they refused to work with me now. Any suggestions are appreciated. I will check back later.

i am the mother of someone they are trying to get money from  for a 2007 bill.they said they are sending documents that have to be signed for.  she does not live here.  how scary is that???

Tell them nothing. Demand a letter of verification by MAIL. I believe that MA is a 'two-party' state that requires both parties to be notified that all calls will be recorded. Inform them that all calls at home and work are being recorded, when they call, and state that if they have a problem with that then they should hang up. If they do they're most likely frauds. If they don't they could be overseas and don't care or they may think they have a legitimate case. If so demand their full name, address, the name of the creditor and the amount of the claim. Re-state your demand for a letter of validation. If they fail to supply any of the said information or refuse to send you their valid claims by mail (not e-mail) they are failing to follow federal laws and their claims are invalid and probably illegal.
They may call your place of employment. ONCE. To confirm your employment. ONLY. Releasing any personal information, making allegations or harassing your employer is a violation of federal law. After being informed that calls at work are not allowed, continued calls are a violation of federal law. Calls to Cell. 'phones are prohibited after the collector has been informed that he is calling a Cell. and that you do not want the calls. This sounds like a scam attempt but you should know your rights. Research here and check out the FTC website.

direct call to my employer (in MA) from "Mark Miller of Investigative Support Staff with the firm" (sounds like) "LV and Associates" saying that there is "a complaint filed against" me, that they "need to confirm place of employment" and that i need "to call pre-legal services to discuss possible pending actions being filed on this complaint".
Please advise if this call is legal in MA to my employer and/or to me at my place of employment.

A message was left on my voice mail that my daughter had to call this number or they would be sending a process server to the house. In addition, they threatened call her employer.  Since no one responded to the call, they called her on her cell phone two weeks later. when she answered the phone, they told her owed over $1000 for an old debt and that unless she paid soon it would cost her $5000 for the service fees and court costs. This is obviously a con.

They left a message that there is a pre-legal and have a 3 hour hold and if not they are going to proceed and go to my employment. I said, what? isn't that illegal to do that? but I think there was a law that changed that

They called telling me that we owe you money from a bank card from 5 years ago. They said they represented orchard Bank . They said their address is 750 South Lincoln Avenue Corona California

Who actually owns this number?
