I get a call from this number several times a day, and they don't leave a message. It's very annoying. Finally I picked up one time and nobody answered. If this is Charter, they need to at least leave a message or just answer the stupid phone.

You really have no clue as to how the DNC list works.  It is not a call-blocking service!  You must go on its website and register YOUR number in order to stop unwanted telemarketing calls.

The number is Charter Services. It is a servey call for their "valued" customers. it is really annoying, but if you do go with it, it only takes a few minutes.

Oh, one more point.  You have to be a Charter customer for them to be able to do this.  Otherwise, you can use the methods described above.  Or just put your number on the National Do Not Call Registry - donotcall.gov.

I have been getting these calls at least twice a day for the last two weeks, and so I called Charter's number 888-438-2427 and spoke with a rep.  She put my number on their do not call list.  I would suggest those who do not want to hear from them do the same.

they call as late as 9:00 pm. when I answer no one there and they won't leave message. usually call about 2 or three times a day. There ought to be someone to report this sickness to and it is stopped. Its not fair, not right, not courteous and disrespectful. It must be the cable company.

You can still block them....I have Charter phone and do it all the time.  Dial *60 (star 6-0).  If you do it as soon as they call, to block last number received, press # + 1 + # (pound sign 1 pound sign) and it will repeat the number to you.  Then hang up.  To make sure "Your service is on,' dial *60 again and listen for it to say, "your service is on (or off)."  If it says your service is off, press '3.'   You cannot turn the service on without already having an entry (which in my first step, you should have added 888-963-8494).   Hope this helps!  :-)

calls twice a day no one there or hangs up after 3 rings

Get calls from this number several times a day up to 9 pm.  Finally I was home to answer.  When I did, there was no one on the other end...call disconnected.  Very annoying!

Must get 3-4 calls a day, all hours; they don't leave messages.  Have Charter phone and internet service, added a few months ago.  Had we known we would be harrassed by subsequent telemarketing calls from them, we would never had started doing business with them.  And trust that we will never recommend them to anyone else.  Please stop calling!!

It's Charter Communications. Probably trying to offer some kind of " triple deal" phone,internet, cable.
It gets annoying with calls coming in a couple times a day.

I get calls from Charter at the rate of about 3-4 a day!  I have two Charter services, internet and phone.  They are a monopoly here in this rural area.  I answered one of the calls about 6 mos. ago and told them if they didn't stop calling, I would cancel the rest of my Charter services (they want me to add the TV service).
That stopped the calls for about 4 mos, but they've started up again.  I want to block their calls, but my phone service is provided by Charter!

I too have only internet and phone and have many hangups from this number on my caller ID.  Argh!

Calls, leaves no message.  Caller ID Says "Toll Free Call" with number displayed.

This number shows up every day as many as 10 times on caller id with no message--even answered it one day and no reply. I am tired of this number calling here.

That's exactly right James. I just got the same call, we just want phone and Internet. Please stop annoying us with those dumb calls!

Got a call from 888-963-8494 today at 3:15 pm. I waited 10 mins and called the number back. The automated system answered saying I had reached Charter Communications. Since my account is current and up to date, I can only assume they wanted to call me and "offer" the "Triple Play Deal". 3 services for $29.99 each. I don't WANT TV OR NEED IT! Just internet and telephone... THANK YOU!

They just called. I didn't answer, the left no message.

Received a call on New Years Day.  Didn't answer it.  What company would be bothering ppl on a holiday?
