Got a call, didn't answer, left message that it was Frontier Group, saying I owe them on a back payday loan. I paid it off through their company about a year ago. I have the receipts from them. I have sent them a copy of the receipts they sent me but they keep calling. Its a big scam just to get you to pay more money. Have turned them into the BBB.

This person from Frontier called me...  Literally yelling at me and telling me that I didn't pay a bill and was so loud that the other person in my office could hear her.  I told her that I would get her a receipts of any payments I had made.  She called me a liar and stated that she was going to send the paperwork to my employer.  She would not even let me finish a sentence....

Although the rules regarding debt collection are different here in the UK, I would think it very unlikely that they would go to the time and effort, and the extra expenses involved in going 'legal'. More likely that it is a scare tactic, in the hope of getting some money from you. British debt collectors tend to purchase the debt for a tiny percentage of its actual worth, and then try and collect as much as they can. They NEVER take the debt to Court, as they know that it'll just end up costing them more, with no guarantee that they'll get a penny. Over here, most people will ignore their threats. I'm guessing that your system is pretty similar.

They got my cell phone number called me once hung up and called my husbands cell phone number and called him too. He never had any bills with anyone. I am confused are they legit or not?  I we'd money once years ago but thought I paid it off. They said I paid some but not all and will sue me. Refused to mail me anything. Said they did well I didn't get anything. What do I do? Will they sue?

This company called me saying that I owe money to a credit card company and I am very aware that I owe it. I had a payment plan set up of small payments monthly so I can pay it off easily and then when one of my payments didn't go through they called me and said that if I don't pay them half by Friday or the full amount by Friday then they will send it to their legal team. I'm racking my brain trying to figure out how to pay at least half by Friday but it doesn't look possible. Is it legal for them to send it to a legal team instead of trying to run my monthly payment again?

They have been threatening to "give this to their legal team" for about 2 months now and they think they can threaten you by stating that they know what county you live in.  the only thing they are allowed to ask your employer is if you work there - nothing else!  not sure about the garnishment issue - you'd have to check your local laws - but that would be a long ways off because first they would have to sue you and get a judgment against you in order to garnish anything

I am so glad I googled their number (finally)!  These people call me EVERY day - like 4X in a row too.  Yes, I do have a debt with CitBank and I was making payments through FFG (100/month which at first they told me they couldn't accept until I said that's all I can pay you) I made payments for several months but kept getting the calls from them all the time and they never sent me a schedule of the automated payments and one month I knew I wouldn't be able to pay them so I was able to contact my bank and stop the electronic payments - which I should also add cost $9.95 a month to make!  So I was actually paying them $109.95 a month.  I was very leery to even get into payments w/them but luckily the bank info is given to the company that actually handles the payments not FFG (thank GOD!).  They leave about 1 message per 4 phone calls and threaten "to contact my employer" - what are you gonna do, tell on me?!??!!  WTF but I now have the Order to Cease & Desist printed out and am debating picking up the phone the next time they call to threaten THEM!

Didn't ask for anyone, left message with file no. Saying they were calling about a letter that was sent to me, which I didn't get because I don't even know who this is and I haven't gotten any unknown mail lately. Seems to me a legitimate bill collector would CLEARLY identify themselves, state the name of the person they think they are trying to intimidate when leaving a message and know where they are calling. I to have reported the call.

Message was left on my work phone from "Susan" - no last name. She sounded very hostile and spoke too quickly for me to understand everything, but it sounded like she was from "Frontship Financial Group" (=Frontier?) and was calling before marking my account as "non compliant".... apparently I owed some kind of debt? Of which I don't, but worried about identity theft I returned her call at 888-966-6014 and 877-401-5272. The first one rang 4 times and then stopped. The second one took me to a "on hold" message and then nothing. I wish I hadn't called them back because they will probably be calling again, seeing that I responded the first time. If you get a message from either of these numbers, I wouldn't call back. However if you happen to pick up when they call, get as much information from them before you give them any of your information. The forums seem to be packed with "they're frauds" and "I do owe money, but they are unreasonable" stories, so who knows how legitimate they are. Protect yourself; get as much info on them first!

I too am currently being harassed by this Frontier Financial services group.  I only owe them 1800 dollars.  I told them im currently getting steady raises and I can pay 30 dollars a month for a few months then pay them more every month and they said no.   She tried forcing me to pay in full and I told her that wasn't going to happen.   I told her either accept my 30 a month for now or we have nothing else to discuss.   she keeps chatting then you just keep saying I cant pull money out of thin air then she finally gives up and tells you that your in trouble and transfers you over to her "legal team"  which is just the guy in the cubicle next to her named Justin.  tell him the same thing then just hang up or stay on the line and waste their time also.

Send them a cease communication letter via certified mail and request a receipt. This is your right under the FDCPA. Even if they sued you, they would not be able to execute a judgment as long as your SS & SSI are being deposited electronically.

I have started to receive calls from the above number telling me that I owe them (or Citibank's AT+T Universal Card) $2,000. It seems that Citi  is passing this debt from one organization to another. I live on very little Social Security, so little that now I qualify for SSI. (I live in New Mexico.) I am also on Food Stamps and Medicaid. I owe Citibank itself a great deal more, which I have been paying off $30 a month for several years. I have offered to pay North American Asset Services (I think that's the organization) $30 a month as well. They say that is unacceptable!  I was able to pay more before the big banks, INCLUDING CITI, tanked the economy with their mortgage derivative scams. I'm an artist, a painter. It was the extra income from selling my work that made it possible for me to pay the first $30 a month and take on the extra debt to help my bipolar son.

Now the art market is dead. Now it's no longer possible for me to pay any more than another $30 a month, which the second company ( North American American Assets Services? Frontier Financial Group?) refuses to accept. When I try to explain why I can't pay they refuse to listen. When they do this without taking into account my circumstances they hang up on me. Yes, I yell at them when they talk over me so that I can't get a word in edgewise and refuse to listen. Today I got another call, apparently from another branch of the company. It was the same thing. She also wouldn't accept the offer, which is all I can afford. This new person also wouldn't listen to me and told me my offer wasn't acceptable. I CAN'T PAY ANY MORE AND STAY ALIVE!

I suffer from severe depression and have considered suicide, though jumping off the bridge near me which would be a 700-foot fall to the river below isn't very appealing. Tomorrow I'm reporting the calls to the police as harassment. These people are vicious! Oh yes, the reason I don't know for sure who is calling is that I have a hearing loss and can't understand them very well. When I ask them to slow down and speak more clearly they don't.

The caller is Frontier Financial Group, a debt collector.

They are tricky and appear to have people who go on the internet and say good things about them like they are easy to work with. I would not be surprised if they even have people who claim to be sued by FFG just to build fear that this might actually happen.  So, I would be very skeptical of posts in this thread or on other forums.

Frontier Financial Group is a DBA or front name for what appears to be two small companies: Vegallo, LLC and then North American Asset Services LLC.

In 2009 the Attorney General of Neveda issued a Cease and Desist Unlicensed Activities Order to Vegallo, LLC dba Frontier Financial Group located at 129 Galleria Drive, Ste 170, Henderson, Nevada.  This is the same address as the Frontier Financial that is the subject of this thread. In the AG's C & D Order, they mention the company has 22 employees.

That organization appears to have recreated itself with a new company called North American Asset Services LLC dba Frontier Financial Group. North American Asset Services is at the same address as Vegallo and the office manager is the same as the one mentioned in the C&D order against Vegallo.

Frontier Financial Group looks like a small company that plays the intimidation card a lot.  Take pictures of your caller ID, record calls / messages and you will probably get  some FDCPA violations out of it.  You can find Law Firms that will sue them for you with no out-of-pocket costs to you via internet search.
