Hang up call from this number

They are calling me, too. Multiple calls with no one on the other end. These types of calls are illegal in Oregon. It is against the law to cause a phone to ring with no communicative purpose or auto-dial with a computer. Multiple calls with no one on the other end.

I used Comcast's own blocking feature to block the number. We shall see if it works.

Called the number back and received a recording announcing that I've called Comcast and that someone would be connected with me shortly.

I have received calls from this number for 2 days in a row.  It hangs up if I answer and leaves no message if I send it to voice mail.  Today I redialed the number and was connected to Comcrap Cable.  

I called their main customer service number, and the guy said he would put me on their internal do not call list.  He confirmed it is a solicitation for upgraded services.  Why would a business make hang up calls to a current or prospective customer anyway?  Typical of Comcrap - it makes me hate them more than I already do.

That change to prior business relationship applies solely to prerecorded messages.  Prior relationship marketing calls that have a live operator immediately available can still be placed under the TCPA until you request them to stop calling.

Since you are a Comcast customer the DNC list does not apply unless you tell them to stop calling your for marketing purposes.  Companies you do business with can call you for up to 18 months after your business relationship ends unless you tell them not to call.  What does having a private number do if you gave it to them?

I just got a call from 888-972-5486 with caller ID "800 Service". I usually don't answer these calls. However, I've had multiple calls from a different 888 number and I finally picked up and said "You need to take me off your calling list. I don't accept unsolicited..." where he cut me off, apologized and hung up. I hope I don't have to do this again but will if I get repeat calls.

Everything about Comcast SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUX! They used to rock, but now theyre youre typical scumbag, nickle and dime u, money making machine. As soon as my two year contract is up Im gone. Somehow I ended up in a contract with them, even though i never changed my service or asked for any discounts. Yes, Im saying they illegally entered me into a contract. They conveniently lost the recording. If u didnt know, they record everything when u call them. Now theyre calling me even though im on the DNC and have a private number.

Got a call 8-16-13 @ 5:06pm, smooth talking man w/good English says he was from Comcast, wanted to know about my Comcast bill & how much I was paying...hum...told him if he was a Comcast employee he should have that info. and I do not reply to these kind of calls...called my cell phone that Comcast has on file, I think they were trying to up-sale me something...made him mad when I said "just say goodbye", why not be honest up front..not a good company business practice if this is Comcast..be careful of un-kown calls.

I get the same calls constantly and it drives me crazy.  They are just trying to sell me something.

this number is from Comcast u might want to call them back?

I have received a call from this number several time recently but since there is no caller ID indicated, I don't answer it and they don't leave a message.  If they can't do either of these, then I just assume it is some kind of marketing call or a scam of some sort.
