I was called into my bosses office, a Lisa Thomas called and said that she was trying to serve me papers and that I needed to call and update my address. Really? I've lived in the same place for over 4 years. My boss also said that if I didn't respond to them then they would call back the HR department and set up a meeting to have me served! Really? Well, I called back 1-888-997-1395 and there is nobody there by that name. They kept transferring my call around and said that I had a case pending. Well, a piece of crap. I told my boss that this is a scam. What dumb people. URG is the company that calls but when you call them they transfer you to a different company and name.

I was just called saying there were people at my house with summons papers. I said funny because I was home and nobody was here. now have a so called lawyer threatening to sue me????????? not sure what it is even about. I got a case number as well. they guy was very rude. ugh!!

This is a scam.  The guy called and left a message this afternoon, then just called a few minutes ago.  He says the matter is urgent and he must serve papers about some litigation against someone named Luke.  No one here by that name.  He asked me if I ever heard of him. The answer is and was no. He left a case number. Lame.  This is a scam.  They try to scare people so they can steal your identity. The guy said his name was Shawn LeFay.  Tried to make this call seem so urgent and important. Tries to intimidate you. Also, the number is hidden from caller ID. What a jerk.

This number was left in a message from a caller from a "restricted" and "anonymous" number.  They were calling my work number and my cell phone, but asked for my daughter under her maiden name and she has been married about 10 years.  I can't imagine where they are getting the information, but just the fact that they can is scary.  

Person left a message on my cell phone with a case number and this phone number and the name Shawn LeFay.  When I called the person I spoke with said that they do not make outbound calls from that office.  Said they were a law office in South Carolina but would not give me the name of the city in SC.  Said I should have had papers served on me 6 weeks ago which did not occur.  Don't call them back!! They are trying to pull you in on possibly an old debt or something that you may have either already paid off or one that was possibly written off by a lending institution.

Check your credit report at www.annualcreditreport.com.  If you don't find any outstanding debts owed on your credit reports, then these people are blowing hot air.

Some will have your personal information and use it to scare you into paying!!  Dont ever pay!!...

Any debt collector that acts like this is not legitimate!!! and do not ever pay them!!!  Most accounts are bogus or well past the state statue on collections!! Some will have your personal information and use it to scare you into paying!!  I cant believe what i have read here...this so called debt collector should be shut down!!!....also if they ever send someone to your work or home...call the police!!!...they cant do that!!!....ask for i.d.....if you can overtake this person!!!...hold them till the police get there...then he can explain the bogus debt to the police. There are laws they must follow and sadly there are many who dont!!  You have rights as a debtor...use these rights!!...and stand up against these bogus collectors!!!

I dont know what to say about this company...what a joke!! they are and there low paid workers to!!!  All i can say is to contact your local atty.general and file a complaint...or you can contact a local t.v. station in utah  and ask them to do an investigation on this company!!  They or there employees cannot serve papers!! or garnish your wages!! only a judge can order that!! They are located in utah and have an "F" rating from the B.B.B. in that state!!  If they call again...just laugh at them and hang up!!  Thats all.............

These people called me, my parents, my family.  I called, and the woman on the other end was threatening, but mostly childishly rude - saying teeny-bopper mean things. I told her that the things she was threatening to do were not even close to how things work.  And what exactly do they want?  Never an answer.  (It was like that PeeWee Herman exchange, "I know you are but what am I?"  Crazy)  The next day, I tried the call again, hoping to get an adult -- I got this kid.  He starts the same thing, saying childish things, but - now here's the scary part - he is spilling details of my life.  My age, my social, etc.  And the "debt" wasnt anything I've even heard of.  He denied any calls to me or my family from that number, and said it was the court trying to serve me.   ITS RIGHT ON THE CALLER ID!!!  I tried to give them my attorney's name and address, and he starts over-talking me and saying, "oh wow, you know an eight-letter word.  Why are you talking to yourself?" Then more ludicrous insults on the PeeWee Herman level.  It's crazy.  But they keep calling.  Is it a bunch of kids with a new spin on calling people and asking if you have Prince Albert in a can?  Have they actually DONE anything?  Filed anything?  My parents are in their 90s, and this is frightening to them.

Did they really send someone or say they were gonna?? and who serves legal papers for the courts in your area?  They cannot send someone telling you you have papers at the courthouse!!  You must be served by someone who works for the courts or the state!!! Thats the law!! If you are being sued...you must be served legal ppapers by the court!!  They dont send someone to tell you!!

Just got a call from this number. Asking for an Amelia ??? couldn't understand the last name. The person was rambling way too fast. I told her she has the wrong number & hung up....she called right back from same number and left a message saying to call asap regarding a pending litigation. #34-01277

They actually came to my house saying they had a summons for me in court  the next day with case number!

I got a call from the same number. They gave mt addy and said said he'll he here to serve papers tomorrow but he better not get any trouble from me. And I better call the company before.

This is united recovery group based in utah. They are violators of the fair debt collection act and i have contacted the utah attorney general and filed a complaint.  All they give you is a file number and threats of serving you papers!! and blah blah blah!!  Just call them and laugh at them.  They are trained in intimidation tactics and this is what they get paid very little to do. Tell them to contact you by mail only!!  Thats your right.  Contact the utah attorney generals office and file a complaint against them !!

calls my work..tells my boss i will be served with papers in a matter of hours..been doing this all year!!..also says they will send the paperwork to garnish my wages!! Been doing that all year also !!  Who are these people!!  When you call the number they will not tell you where they are.  They leave a file number also.

this number is a bogus company from new jersey trying to get people to give them their credit card information stating there is a judgment that has been filed against you and they want payment.  do not give them its bogus

Someone I know keeps getting calls from this number identifying themselves as being from "ERG" with a Case #34-00-399.

No idea who this is calling, but calls and leaves a message.  Does not state where they are calling from, but leaves a file number and says it's a time sensitive matter.
