Just received a call from this number on my cell phone.  Very few people have this number, maybe a few companies if that.  I'm with Telus in Toronto, Ontario.
Picked up the phone call but there was no answer, very loud on their end, like a call centre.

I got this phone number on my cell, as well as did my mom.  So I decided to go online to look up this number in the directory and guess what?  It's not listed in either Canada or US, so never answer those calls.

they've called twice today on my cell phone, but i didn't answer... but next time I'm prepared, i'll just say that I don't speak english (with a terrible accent), it usually works lol.

I received call from this number (1-891-887-0005) on my cell phone and accidentally responded to the call. I ended the call within 3 seconds and received right away another call from 416-847-4999 that is also know as scam. I did not respond to this call but I am sure that these two numbers are somehow connected to each oher.

What a bunch of annoying f****ng pricks, they have phoned me close to 15 times, ignored all of which after the first time I picked up. The phone call sounded identical to how everyone else described. Next time they phone I'm gonna tear them a new f****ng a***ole.

I just got the call this am but didn't pick up in time. No message left on VM.

I got a call from the same number twice. Asked me to verify I was over 18. I thought that was weird. When they asked from my social insurance number or drivers licence I.D number, so I hung up on them. Don't answer any 891 numbers.

got the same thing a few weeks ago. They said they were from Bell, I found that very strange. First they asked me how much I spent a month on my phone. I gave a random number of $50. They kept telling me I had won a free samsung phone. I was like I don't need a new phone I;m quite happy with mine (which was 3 months old) They they're like well give it to your family or friends. I was like they are happy with their phones too. I was at work so I said I was busy and had to hang up. They were very pushy to call me back. They asked me if they could call back later that day. I told them they had no reason to, so no. Then they asked I they could call next week. Again I told them they had no reason to call me again. and hung up. I just saw the number again on my phone. This is crazy!

I just recieved a call from this number claiming that i won a free LG phone.  He said his name was Peter Parker, so I played along and asked him if he was SpiderMan and he said no Batman!  He then said he was calling from Calgary!

I got the same one too, from the exact same number.  As far as scam artists go, these guys are terrible!

Got a call too. I don't trust anyone using the name BELL, since they throttle internet speeds - those communists!  I hung up when I heard them say they were from BELL.

I also got a call from these guys. My phone is not even a Bell phone, so that's what tipped me off. And I couldn't hear them very well with all the noise in the background. After I hung up, they called again, and i didn't pick up that call. I just remembered to check the number, and that's how I found this page.

Got a call from them this morning. Didn't answer.

They will be hunted down by the CRTC because they are NOT allowed by law anymore to phone me! I hope they enjoy that $50,000 fine.

Same thing happened to me as mentioned above.  They kept pushing for my personal billing information and I got passed off to the supervisor.  It was obvious from the start that these guys were not from Bell Canada.  I could barely understand a word they were saying except that they were trying to give me a new Blackberry Pearl (yeah right I thought).  Big scam!

haha i knew it. i just like JUST got a call from them. was for a samsung somthing i don't know. i was curious so i talked to the guy for a bit asking questions then i was sent to the "supervisor" and i asked if this was a scam and he hung up right away.

I received a call from this number and a 891 889 0001 number and they were very adament that I received this new phone, I just got a new phone on my account about a month ago.  Then the 0001 call came in on my other line.  I got hung up on too.

I have received a call from these people too, but did not pick up and checked this website immediately. I always get weird calls, but I NEVER give anybody my personal info.

I received a very sketchy call that mentioned they were from Bell Canada.  They claimed I had won a prize of a free cellphone and then began to ask me "verification" questions to do with billing information.  I balked and asked why since they are calling from Bell; they should know.  I got passed to a "supervisor" who then asked the same questions.  When I told them I wasn't going to provide this information they hung up on me.

I believe these guys are scam artists.  It seemed like they were data-mining me for billing info.  At the very least, they weren't from Bell Canada Promotions Department as I called Bell immediately afterwards and verified this.  BEWARE!  DON'T fall for these guys.  Whatever they are doing, they are up to no good.
