I had Verizon block texting on my cell phone long time ago. I got a text message said it was Verizon asking it I wanted to receive text message to call 900 070 003167. So I went to my local Verizon store to find out about this since I have texting block. They where no help at all. Got we didnt how this happen end of story.

I received a text message from 900-070-003048.(note 2 digits too many). Message said " Free VZW message: Android Market is now Google Play, upgrade to your phone has been provided. Click play.google.com/about to learn more. (data charges may apply)"  I checked the phone number on this website and no such number is listed.  I checked the Google site via the internet and no such site could be found.  I thought it was a fraudulent message meant that would cause extra charges on my cell phone account if I clicked on the web site.

VZW verified the message was legitimate and all VZW android phones are receiving similar messages.  VZW says the "900" number is an internal VZW number and not a phone number.
