Got a call from this number claiming to be from Microsoft and that my computer was sending out secure data and they needed to fix this. The man spoke with an Indian accent and I clearly realized that this was a scam, because it's just out of the ordinary for a computer to call you like this and I don't run microsoft. I asked the man's name and he said "John." The man was clearly not a "John." I told him you are a scammer and that I was going to report him.

I too had received calls from this incomplete number. I got fed up one day after they would call me up to 20 times a day! I was so angry I answered it and told the indian man on the other end not to ****ing call me ever again, then I hung up. He called right back and asked me what my problem was and I said you guys calling me! I hung up again and blocked then right after. Claimed to be Microsoft and the whole your computer is malfunctioning b.s. My computer at that time was brand new. I got all the protection I needed.

My neighbor fell for it.  I found out about a month later and told her that its a scam.  She does on-line banking, so she spent the next day changing all of her bank account numbers.

She took the computer tower to a local computer repair place.   The only damage they found was that her anti-malware program had been turned off.  But they were not absolutely sure that the scammers hadn't installed malware so deep in the electronics that it was invisible.  She ended up replacing her tower.


You were wise to not let them into your computer.  You don't have to do anything.  Well, one thing.  The scammer will call again and again and again.  Hang up on him.  Swear at him if you want to.

This a major scam!

Its a scam and all they want is your money! They have no way of knowing whats going on with your computer and No legitimate company cold calls like this.  The scam usually entails them taking you to your event viewer which is a internal monitor that logs events on your computer.. Oh sure, you will see the error's logged, but its all a scam to get you to allow them access to your computer. The event viewer is only doing its job and its there for a real tech to look through should you actually have a problem. Then they want remote access! They usually turn your anti virus program off  and give you a big spiel, then inform you they want a small fee to fix it.. several hundred dollars of course! Meanwhile, they have access to all your computer and could be gleaning personal info, downloading stuff to your computer to turn it into a zombie computer to spam folks..

The only persons who should be touching your computer is you, your manufacturer, Real Windows support that you have called and/or maybe a real live tech you see face to face!

Keeps blownen up my phone . I ask him for mac address he says  over go to www.ammyy.com  and hit green button . I never logged in to browser .
He said name was Edward Hernandez from Microsoft . Had me go to command run . Event viewer.

I got a call starting the same way about my computer. Then another guy gets on and starts talking and it sounds like a recording saying I want to f**k you repeatedly. When I started calling him a sand n*gger  they shut up. Stayed on the line for a few more seconds then hung up. Sorry for the derogatory names but I was pissed

He is talking all the time about my medical care and insurance bill which I don?t have. He call one time that will send me million dollars if I would give him my account number.

This person is calling me every day many times despite I told him don?t call me and  he wants to get my information.Now he calls and holds for a moment and then hangs up.

Got a very nasty call from this number today.

First call today from this number, I didn't answer.  Second call, I answered, no one was talking but I could hear background noise...   I told whomever 'it's your dime.'  click!  Third call, I hear a strongly accented voice start to talk, which I interrupted to say:  this is the THIRD time you people have called me  today; state your business....silence but no hang up until I called this individual a rectal opening ;)

i got that so many times from 900-158 with a guy who has a very strong accent keeps saying my name wrong but it's ok he kept telling me that my computer had a virus and i want even using the computer until now..so wierd how i even had an heated argument with them like few months back regarding my computer having viruses..i told him how can he tell if i just got a new computer and it isnt even connected...smh these people need a life seriously never answer this this is a way to hack into your computer my friend had told me they hacked into their computer by using simple directions to use the info of the computer you are using..dont want anyone ending up having to deal with id theft my friend did and it took awhile for her things to fixed...

Rec'd two different calls from the 900-158.  Both thick Indian accents.  The first call actually came from 202-697-7222, was a woman I could not understand that claimed to be from the US government and that my new phone number was ready.  I put the first number on the reject list on my cell phone.  Then there were several calls from this new number 900-158 which I will not answer and they do not leave a voicemail.  Then I was busy applying for a job and forgot to check the incoming number and the second one, this time the man, said he was from American Housewares something and started yelling about my medical payments and something about an implant.  I told him this was in no way ever related to me and he was to take me off his call list and that I would report this scammer line.

Call your phone company and see if they can block it while filing a complaint (also with the local PD). Or, you can get a call blocking device or phone. You could also blast him a few times with a whistle or boat fog horn.

Please do file reports with the FBI, your state attorney general and Department Of Justice,FTC & FCC..

that f****n number number called me like 20 times yesterday ask sexual stuff he told me he was a scammer cuz in India he's poor,, he told me if I hang up he's Juss gunna call me bk... He has my whole name,, age address email like that s*** creepy he's says he's in love&what's to get married he found me on face book like i was so scared I had to get my uncle to act like my husband so he can stop calling but didn't care I had to change my number.

I received the same call today, with the man saying he was from Microsoft and that my computer called him to tell them that there is harmful pics on my computer. WTF? I said I was not anywhere near my computer and don't think I quite understand. He asked for a better time for him to call me. I asked for his number. This is the number I was given 225-361-2838 and said my rep is Adam.
I will definitely not be calling.

It's just 900-158. Answered it real quickly and the person said they
were calling from Microsoft.  I asked them to remove my number from their call list. He said he couldn't do that. I requested to speak to his supervisor and he complied.  I asked the supervisor to remove my number from the call list and they just hung up.

Got the same call, telling me there was something wrong with my computer, was not at all professional! Hung up on them, tried to call me back - must of got my cell phone number!

I keep getting calls from a 900-158 number (that's all that shows up on my phone) usually they say it's Microsoft and my something about my computer. Today I got a very nasty call from this number saying my real name, telling me they like my boobs and my dick and want to f*** me. I told them I was recording this message and they didn't seem to care at all. There has got to be something we can all do to stop this. Sorry for the language in this post but this is what they said to me....again sorry for the bad language.
