Yes, this is an IRS call coming in. You may not return calls to this number, as apparently it is an outbound line only. But this is from their Memphis TN office. (Offer in Compromise department as well as others)

They called me on 08/22/12 at 5:26 I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message! I called the number back and the voice stated you have reached the Internal Revenue Office, then they list all these other numbers to call.......

They call repeatedly asking for payroll codes to locate specific info (they say) about a specific employee (not clearly yet about whom).
Investigating, we have found out that the number ***WAS*** an IRS number that's no longer in service.

called my number for 5 hours every 5-10 minutes and I never got anything but beeps when I answered.

got 10 calls from this number but never heard anything but beeps, and want to block it. I know it says IRS, but when I call this number back, it says the number has been disconnected.
