It is a bill collector and they are sorry as hell for using the name of a great hospital for children.

This call is a scam.  First time they call and you answer they make it sound as if it is St. Jude calling.  It is a collection agency trying to collect on a bad credit card debt that has been written off long ago.  There was a charge off and it no longer even shows up on my credit report.  If you get a call and it is a robo call and they ask if this is so & so tell them no.  They will not try and reach you again as they will think the number has been re assigned.

I just received a call from them telling me i owe a dept & its a personal business matter. They called and i answered. When they asked for me by my maiden name i knew something wasnt right. Ive been married 6 yrs! I pretended like i was someone else & asked if i could leave a message & the lady said yes. My name is Alisha please have her call me bak so i can verify her file and social. I heard alot of typing in the background and alot of pple talking. This is not St. JUDE. Then i was asked to call a 1888 number back to speak with alisha directly. SPAM

It's probably a telemarketer - and I wouldn't trust them. Make your donations for St. Jude directly to them.

ITS NOT ST.JUDE... Its a SCAMMER.   Do NOT answer it.. Do NOT give them any information.. DO NOT push  any "do not call number buttons because you are just scamming you..  You should call ST. Jude and ask to speak to someone in the Business Administration Department and report this.  You are going to find out that they are frauding people out of money..  St Jude would NOT call your house like this, leave no message , hang up or not say anything.. ITS A SCAMMER ... Call ST JUDE AND REPORT THE PHONE NUMBER so they can report it to TBI FRAUD...

It's actually a 901 area code, which is the local area code for Memphis, Tennessee.

Got a call on my cell - they knew my name - told me I could win $75,000 if I would take a survey and give them information. I said I wasn't interested and hung up. The caller never said they were with St. Jude - I'm thinking this number is phishing for personal information.

They call me every day and sometimes twice a day.  I do not answer the phone since I have "caller ID" but they never leave a message either.  How do I find out who they are?

Tired of the 901-881-9976.  They keep calling and hanging up.  I am beginning to believe they are a company that sells phone numbers.  They do this to ensure the numbers are still good.  Thoughts?

my caller id says its St. Jude, a charity organization, I think.  The one with Marlo Thomas.  Not sure cuz I have no money to give this year and since I never gave this organization my phone number, I'd like to know how they got it.

Caller allegedly City of St. Jude, calls repeatedly wanting to my roommate who is on a fixed income and disabled.  I rather suspect she is on a "Suckers" list because she is also seeing a surge in U.S. Mail requesting donations for charities I've never heard of.

Funny how the Shriners don't need to employ your sleazy and even illegal (no name or number on caller ID) telemarketing tactics.   Sorry, but I'm fed up with you.

If we, at St.Jude Research Hospital have called you then I'll say it for ALSAC(the fund-raising arm of St.Jude), we are really sorry! The employees are on a dialer system so we can not control who our dialer/computer system calls. However, if we have spoken to you directly just ask us to place you on the do-not-call list & we'll do it. It takes a couple of days to actually get on the list, so we may call you back a couple of times but we really don't mean any harm & we really understand it's annoying. However, as I previously stated, we ARE on an automated dialer so we do not control who we call.Also, we do not leave messages because we really aim to speak with someone directly, and since we're on an outbound dialer system there is no way to contact the employee that called you directly, thus, we decide not to leave a message.

They constanntly calling me begging for money. I made the mistake of donating them for quite a few years thru work and evidentially work gave them my name. However, this number that I have is unlisted and I sure did not give out my unlisted number so they can bug me. It is really annoying as I am on the Nation Do Not Call Registry. That is probably a joke in of itself because i always get calls at home from someone wanting something. I just check my caller ID and if it is not a friend or my doc's office, I don't answer.

If this is St. Judes I stopped them for awhile, but it's started again. They've called twice today and two yesterday. This cat and mouse game they play has gone on for years and is getting old.

See the entry above from Abq505 on Nov. 24, 2009. I called the number back and received a recorded message. They certainly appear to be St. Jude's who are located in Memphis, TN. I followed the instructions to have my number removed from their database. I hope it works.

This must be a scam.  For the past two years, these calls come almost daily for a few weeks, then nothing for months.  Most times no one is there, but I have spoken to a person who explained that it is recorded.  I researched the number to a female in Memphis even though the caller id shows St. Jude's, sometimes, Tennesee.  I gave monthly to St. Jude's for years and got called from them from another number for additional contributions.  This time the dialer called me 1/13/10 at 7:08 pm, 1/15/10 at 5:45 pm and 1/18/10 4:25 pm.

I get this number calling my house everyday now for the last 2-3 months I have a caller ID reject option that I have activated for this number. it lets a ring through once then hangs up on them however its very annoying and I can not get anyone to answer on the call theres no message. I get a list showing how many times aday this number calls. Its like an autodialer and I wish I could find out which company it is. I to am on the no call list and have no idea how or why they have my info or what they want especially when there is no person or message to deal with.

St. Jude is one I do give to, but I won't answer a number that does not leave a message.

Have recently received calls from this number, ID shows St. Jude.  Yet when I pick up there is no answer.  Now I am a contributor to St. Jude, but they have NEVER contacted me via phone calls before.  I recommend we all write a letter to the St. Jude Foundation to confirm or deny if these calls are authentic

I also donate to St. Jude's so it's safe to assume this is indeed from them.  As much as I support the work they do I do not appreciate getting called.

I have received calls from this number and it is indeed from St Jude's.  I am a monthly donator and have requested NOT to be called.  I do know that they call to see if one can give an extra amount, which I do not do since I can't afford more than I already give.  It is a real charity asking for help.  They do wonderful work with children and cancer research and have saved many lives and discovered many treatments for childhood cancers and other deceases.

This number has been calling us multiple times a day for a couple of weeks. We answer and there is no answer. I have called the number directly and just hear clicking.

This is a 900 number please be careful and do not follow instruction on pushing any numbers.  It may give them excess to use your phone number to make long distance calls.  I am going to contact St Jude as I have never received phones calls from them and believe this maybe a scam.

I got another call today from this number. I called back this same number and was abled to confirm that this IS St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital. A got a very polite recorded answer where they confirmed that they called me earlier but they missed me and that they will be calling back in a few days. They gave me the option of been removed from their calling list. I was asked to press "1" to exercise this option which I did. I intend to send them another donation which will be my second time.
