Obviously you folks have never worked at a call centre. This is a totally legitimate campaign that's run for years. They cant leave messages, because they're at a call centre...you cant call them back. No use leaving their name...because it would be someone else to call next time if you dont pick it up anyway. Not everything is a scam....and they can provide you with info to check out the validity of the project....Dont be so paranoid...!!

called today, Aug. 26 saying they were from the police association and that we gave money last year (which we didn't) and wanted our credit card number.

Identified himself as John Steele calling with the New Brunswick police association looking for donations to address bullying in schools.  Wanted my CC # for a donation or an address he could mail a donation form to.  I asked for the website and he said I couldn't donate online.  Total scam.

Someone called from this number. I answered the call, but the caller hung up.

Answered a call from this man.  Asked to speak to my boyfriend, said he would call back.  Sounded strange

Ive received calls from this number a few times, Ive only answered once. He said it was the Police Assocation, and that I had given a donation last year. Ive never given a donation to them! Not sure if its a scam or not but it did seem kinda fishy.

Called today, no message left.

Identified as John Steele. Gave him another number to call back on, but no call. Returned call and auto messaging. Wait a minute for the beep and you are put out to another voice message.
