These callers are trained not to reveal anything, hence their job is on the line.

Also, banks these days are commuting subtle frauds on nations by printing money and issuing loans when money is nonexistent in their vaults.

MBNA must be going down the Singapore slit trench! When you pick up the phone, say nothing. Put down the phone and pick it up in about 5 minutes. This way the will pay for the call. Then when you hear the dial tone, cradle your p[hone.

yes, its MBNA Mastercard from Ottawa. i worked for them before and they are using this number from NS to mislead people to force you to pick up your phone. they dont have a call center in NS, they bought the phone line in 2004 and they use it for collection purposes. its for collection.

We have paid our credit card bills for longer than you probably have been alive. My husband lost his contract and we live on a small island. We could no longer pay our bills and I wrote and told them that..so no j***off, not all of us just "don't pay our bills" you are the loser here.

Ehhh, these guys have a job to do.   I don't care about the calls.   Just ignore them.

I was off work for 10 months, but 2 years ago, once I was back at work, it got to a point when I was back on track paying them each month, but they wouldn't reactivate my card.   They had me paying at the highest rate (it was being forced into a horrible loan which would take me 20 years to pay off), nor would they negotiate to turn my payments into some kind of loan type payment with a reasonable rate --- as another bank did for me.

A competator visa company, (once I was back on track with payments) immediately gave me visa credit access again.    They have continued to get my on-time payments for 2 years now, and they are happily making money off me again.    Maybe MBNA could have learned from this, it would have made and saved them tonnes of money.

Six months ago a lawyer approached me to go after them and only pay 1/3 of what I owed, I went for it.   Its kind of late for them to come to me, offering me deals now.   And if you truely are offering me a deal, then lay it on the line on the voice mail - ie you currently owe us XXX$$$  and we are willing to do a payment plan of ______$$$.    Then maybe I'll drop the lawyer, as they are only a middle man.    

We'll see what happens.

I receive MBNA calls from this number and many many many others; they also show as Unknown Number/Caller half the time too, they leave messages everyday of every week and the threat level of the call continues to escalate.  So far no one has treated me quite like how some of the above have been treated, but certainly I am feeling harassed and stressed by these unrelenting callers.   I try to tell them my situation but whats the point as they never listen,  Over the years I have paid far more money back to them then I ever owned them, I also never use the account so I have added no new items to it that increases the debt yet the debt amount floats quite literally at around the same dollar amount today as when I first stopped using the card seven years ago.  Making a payment to them is like burning your money or putting it into a great sink hole, it sucks it in but makes no difference to the debt amount.  Their credit rate is atrocious and they act like a bunch of gangster loan sharks out to get blood out a stone that just can't bleed any more.  I HAVE started looking up my debtors rights and I HAVE the right not to be harassed.

I was also receiving the constant calls from them because they felt I "wasn't paying the balance off soon enough". I was making regular payments on it but it was never enough. It even got to the point where I was receiving 7-10 calls a day. They even went so far as to seek out my employers number and call me there. I was....so mad. I was working 3 jobs to get this stupid company paid off and a representative asked me "so why aren't you getting another job. Are you just stalling!?!" gaaaaaaaah.... They are riddiculous!!! :(

MY 16 YEAR OLD STEP SON IS GETTING HARRASSING CALLS FROM THEM DAILY BECAUSE HE HAPPENS TO HAVE BEEN GIVEN THE CELL NUMBER OF ONE OF THERE CUSTOMERS.  REPEATEDLY I HAVE CALLED THEM BACK AND TOLD THEM THEY HAVE THE WRONG NUMBER THAT NO ONE BY THE NAME OF THE PERSON THEY ARE LOOKING FOR IS AT THAT NUMBER.  TO BE TOLD THAT MY SON IS ACTUALLY THE PERSON THEY WANT AND IS JUST SAYING HES 16 TO AVOID PAYING THEM MY HUSBAND HAS BEEN TOLD CLOSE TO THE SAME THING. I AM TIRED OF THIS MY STEP SON IS AFFRAID TO HEAR HIS PHONE RING BECAUSE THE ONLY PEOPLE THAT CALL HIM ARE THEM EVERYONE ELSE IS TEXT MESSEGES.  I HAVE EVEN THOUGHT ABOUT CALLING THE RCMP IN REGARDS TO THIS.
